Originally released on Fountain Of Youth Records in 1986. You can thank the Doc for bringing it back to life! A more mature sounding G.I. on this one that still pleases the diehard fan as well as those leaning toward Fugazi or later Dischord label releases. “Excellent production and melodic punk tunes are the hallmark here, and while you can still pick out that DC sound, they’ve broadened to reach back to punk roots, as well as even earlier, all without losing that oomph or character of their presentation.” – Tim Yohannan, MAXIMUM ROCKANDROLL

Among the impressive discography by Portland, OR Hardcore Punk forerunners Poison Idea, their 1986 debut LP Kings Of Punk is considered one of the most important entries. Originally released on the Pusmort label owned and operated by legendary visual artist Brian “Pushead” Schroeder (Misfits, Metallica), Kings Of Punk introduced Poison Idea to a wide audience than their previously the self-released and distributed releases on Fatal Erection, the record label co-run by their guitarist Tom “Pig Champion” Roberts. Taking full advantage of the situation, Poison Idea made sure their first full-length release would make an impact on the American Hardcore Punk scene. From the grisly, full-color cover image of the band’s name carved into the chest of vocalist Jerry A. Lang to the blistering music contained within, Kings Of Punk was convincing enough to earn Poison Idea the attention that helped spread their legend and kicked off the band's most prolific period: the late 80s - early 90s. Out-of-print since TKO’s ephemera-packed “Portland Edition” version from the summer of 2022, Kings Of Punk now returns as the third installment in TKO’s Poison Idea Remasters series. This new edition finds all eleven tracks shined up while still retaining the feral bite of the original, proving almost forty years since its release, Kings Of Punk will forever be evidence enough for Poison Idea to claim their self-appointed throne.

"Monolith", the band's second studio album, was originally released in 1987. Shortly after its release, Amebix disbanded, and "Monolith" would be their final studio album until they reunited in 2008. Such notable bands as Sepultura, Neurosis and Deviated Instinct have paid homage to the band.

One of the best kept secrets of the Italian Hardcore scene. Manimal took shape in the mid-1980s, in the tumultuous era of the roman underground uprising. They’ve been actually one of the first hardcore band – with label mates High Circle - rising from the ashes of the capital city punk scene. In 1985 they’ve been part of the historical German pack altogether with Negazione and Indigesti, a tour that made literally history ! In 1986 they recorded their sole self titled album. The record saw the light on the legendary Contagio Records and was a furious example of the contemporary attack to the system. Eleven tracks in total with three of them previously appeared on "Subject To Blackout," a cultish American tape compilation (with early Offspring, Excel and Attitude Adjustment). No compromise classic Italian Hardcore with fast guitar riffs, elaborate bass lines and hard-hitting drums. A necessary rediscovery that further delineates the greatness of the Italian scene in the early eighties.

Sorry State is excited to bring you a repress of one of the best hardcore records ever, Koro's 1983 7" EP. Originally released in a small, self-released pressing, over the decades this monster's reputation has continued to grow, and collectors now have to fork over well over a grand for an original pressing. This one is too good for the scum to keep to themselves, though, a hyper-compact explosion of energy that can hold its own next to any landmark early 80s hardcore punk record you want to compare it to. Sorry State's 2023 pressing aims to replicate the original look and feel of the original as closely as possible, with an offset-printed sleeve on legal size paper. It's as close as you can get to the original without missing a mortgage payment.

A welcome re-issue of Government Issue's sixth studio album 'You'. Originally released in 1987 on Giant Records and hot off the heels of the previous year's self-titled album, 'You' was a turning point that saw the band moving in a more mature, melodic direction. Now, some 35 years later, 'You' is considered one of the scene's best albums - a game-changer that paved the way for a style that many bands would copy in subsequent years.

If you mention Heresy's 'Face Up To It!' album many people will tell you what a great HC album it was but, let down by horrendous production. Now, 30 years since it was recorded, the band undertook a mammoth project to make the album finally sound how they had envisaged. The original multi track master tapes were unearthed and baked to allow a transfer of all the raw recorded material and for the band to do a total ground up restoration/remix on not only the original album, but also the rest of the session that included the bonus tracks originally only released on the Japanese version of the album 'Voice Your Opinion'. To say that the results have been remarkable would be an understatement and have exceeded the band's own expectations.

The debut 7” from one of Orange County, California’s premier hardcore bands and the first West Coast release by Revelation Records is finally back in print. NO FOR AN Answer delivered fast, intense, straight-edge hardcore alongside their local contemporaries like Chain OF Strength and Insted, but infused more thoughtprovoking and confrontational lyrics than most other bands of their day. Fronted by hardcore luminary-turned-author Dan O’Mahoney, NO FOR AN Answer can be credited as being one of the cornerstones of the West Coast straight-edge movement of the late ’80s. New pressing now available on opaque red vinyl.

Punk only hit Italy in 1980, and the hardcore scene followed straight after confirming itself as one of the most active and interesting scenes in the world. Back in the day most of the bands came from the north of the country, among them: Negazione, a Turin based band which soon became one of the crucial Punk-Hardcore realities in Europe. Originally released by German label We Bite Records in 1988, "Little Dreamer" was Negazione's second album. Compared to their debut release this second effort shows a first step towards a more eclectic sound approach where thanks also to an evident growth in terms of technical skills the band's original inflamed energy opens up to a wider expressive variety of speeds and dynamics.

Formed in Santa Monica in 1984 by guitarist Les Evans, drummer Scott Peterson and bassist Adam Scott—soon replaced by Rob Nicholson, who joined after singer Bill Crooks arrived, metalcore pioneers Cryptic Slaughter gained an early reputation as one of the fastest of all west coast hardcore bands. Following the success of Convicted and Money Talks, Stream Of Consciousness is the last album to feature the original line-up, the band having broken up prior to its release; with multiple tempo changes on each song, this is the group at their inventive peak, prior to the regrouping that brought a more concerted metal direction. A milestone in the history of crossover thrash.

Hailing from the former northern mining town of Wigan, between Manchester and Liverpool, the short-lived Electro Hippies were a band like no other, saluted as icons of crust punk and proto-grindcore. Following some cassette demos, a shared LP with Newcastle’s Generic and a Peel session, debut LP The Only Good Punk…Is A Dead One surfaced on Peaceville with twenty songs, all clocking in at under two minutes (around half being less than 60 seconds). Highly political, deeply ironic, and with a snatch of Black Sabbath in the mix, The Only Good Punk is the band at their blistering best, the peak that preceded their ultimate downfall.

There is no doubt Warzone is one of the most crucial and influential bands coming from the New York Hardcore scene. Fronted by the charismatic Ray “Raybeez” Barbieri, Warzone preached vehemently for scene unity and against racism while buzzsaw guitar riffs and wailing solos over speedy drums churned out a soundtrack found at Cbgb Sunday Matinees, The Pyramid, The Anthrax and the rest of the legendary clubs of the era. Their landmark debut LP Don’t Forget The Struggle, Don’t Forget The Streets is heralded as one of the most important Nyhc records of all time, with its 2016 reissue on Revelation Records selling thousands of copies and filling gaps in record collections all over the world. Two years later, Revelation Records proudly presents the reissue of Warzone’s second LP Open Your Eyes. This oft-overlooked record continues the sound from Don’t Forget The Struggle,... the last purely hardcore record before the band’s more metal third LP. This record featured Jerry Williams behind the board who was previously known for his work with Bad Brains, The Beastie Boys, and Reagan Youth among others, with production help from none other than Dr. Know, guitarist of Bad Brains!

Pioneering Dutch punk band, the Squats, was one of the first to emerge from the underground of late 1970s Nijmegen. The core of the group morphed into Oi! band the Magnificent, and after a shared cassette with Angelic Upstarts and tracks on early Oi! compilations, an augmented Magnificent cut quality debut, Hit And Run, released by Link in 1988, which captures the band at their tightest. Internal friction would lead to further lineup changes, making Hit And Run the must-have for fans of the band and all lovers of Oi! ‘Hasta el Final’ is surely the best album made by Subterranean Kids, absolute pioneers of hardcore Barcelona and indisputable references for any national hardcore band, and we are tremendously excited to announce their reissue on BCore. Originally released in 1989, it is the first time that the album has been reissued on vinyl and we do it in a wonderful remastered edition that also includes two bonus tracks - the two songs that came out on compilation cassette No. 92, also released in 1989 by El Lokal. -. In the words of Boliche himself, drummer and leader of the band, the recording of the album was a real nightmare due to the state of the recording studio, but none of that can be seen in the final result: it is his most complete work and the one that shows a more interesting and varied palette of what hardcore punk can be. The album is full of classics in the band's repertoire such as 'Hasta El Final', 'La Rabia', 'Ciudadano Ejemplar' or 'Sentirme Libre' and ranges from songs played at full speed, moments that flirt with metal and others. that seem to be announcing the punk rock style that would develop in the 90's. In short, twelve short and direct ax blows (+ two bonuses) that make you understand the greatness of a band that wrote an important chapter in the history of punk in Barcelona .

Hailing from Britain’s formerly industrial heartland of North Yorkshire, The Burial was a forward-facing ska-punk/Oi band with a strong Left orientation, channelling 2Tone, Northern Soul, punk, and folk influences. Rhythm guitarist Eric ‘Barney’ Barnes made sure the world knew these skinheads were antifascist and the use of a full horn section made their sole LP, A Day On The Town, stand out. Unlike the Redskins, who soon moved to the student circuit, The Burial remained embedded in the working class communities from whence they came; this fine, often overlooked LP will be devoured by all fans of ska-punk and Oi!.

Arising in the mid-1980s during the second wave of British psychobilly, the Frantic Flintstones was formed in Didcot, outside Oxford, by singer Chuck Harvey and former Meteors drummer Toby Griffin, who soon left. Following a debut EP on Raucous and the chart-topping A Nightmare On Nervous, with drummer Andy Celbo, the group signed to Links just as guitarist Pug Pete joined the fold. Not Christmas, their fourth for Links, is one of their most popular LPs, and rightly so, with ‘Frantic’ mutating Prince Buster’s ‘Madness’ and ‘Blue Christmas’ one of several Xmas-themed numbers. British psychobilly at its best!

Proud to present you the extended edition of the classic and cult Intimidation EP on 12” vinyl including 3 bonus tracks that were recorded in that very same studio session back in June 1989 at the Bunkhouse Studio in Portsmouth. Lots of pictures straight out of the band members archive and some liner notes are included in the refreshed and updated artwork. To top it off, the whole session is carefully remastered for vinyl. The staccato beats, thriving bass, low crackling guitars and vocals skipping with youthful energy and aggression can not be imitated and can only sound the way they do like they did right then and right there. An anchor and milestone of US Oi! glory. We make sure this gem is preserved for the new generation as well as offering a fresh updated version for the old guard as a nice collectable piece of wax. Licensed directly from The Bruisers.

In 1990, Judge had a new song entitled “Forget This Time” and there was a desire to record it and get it out into the wild. Additionally, the band had been touring and made some improvements to some of their existing songs; one standout was “The Storm,” which now had a breakdown in the middle that didn’t exist in the previous versions. Mike was excited about covering “When The Levee Breaks” (which was a bonus track on the Cdep, now a streaming bonus track) and the idea of his local buddy Todd Schwartz doing the harmonica solo. With these three songs the guys headed to Don Fury’s studio on Spring Street to record what became “The Storm” EP. One day Mike showed up on his Harley and the idea came about to run a microphone cable out into the street to record it rev, which you can hear on this version of “The Storm.”

Originally released in 1992, this is an all-Discharge covers tribute compilation including Extreme Noise Terror, Concrete Sox, Disaster, Raw Noise, the legendary Japanese crusties C.F.U.D.L., among others. A lot like human sacrifice was an everyday experience for Mesoamerica as a bloody offering to the gods that birthed the world; so too is this an intense testament to the gods that started it all. You wouldn’t expect anything less than aural warfare with the likes of Extreme Noise Terror who bleed the battery acid from the veins of ‘No T.V Sketch’ and ‘They Declare It' with their Earache playmates Concrete Sox do punishing justice to the unholy ‘This Is To Be’, leaving one unable to move, let alone ‘Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing’, as Nausea remind us of with their rendition of an instant Discharge classic from a decade earlier.

The iconic fifth album Houdini by the Melvins captures the band's power, vision, and musical strangeness. It's an essential '90s release, combining elements of grunge with hard rock and sludge metal. Their biggest commercially success and first major label release is an album where they displaying the full width of their musical abilities. Buzz Osbourne's guitar sound is deep and heavy and combined with Dale Crover's powerful drum rolls and fills it sounds really impressive. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) added his guitar skills to the track "Sky Pup" and can be heard as a percussionist on "Spread Eagle Beagle". It's one of the most accessible Melvins albums and the gateway to explore more records by the band. Houdini is the ultimate Melvins classic and a must have for every grunge and music fan in general.

Lyburnum Wits End Liberation Fly was the one and only full-length album by experimental post-punk innovators, Moss Icon . Recorded in 1988, Lyburnum would not be released until 1993 - several years after Moss Icon 's demise. Originally released on Vermiforn - the esoteric noise label founded by Sam McPheeters of Born Against - the vision that Moss Icon 's Tonie Joy had for Lyburnum failed to manifest in its finished product. Of the process of preparing Lyburnum for its eventual release, Joy recalls, "My creative mind was well into its next chapter, onto an apocalyptic order [referring to Joy's post- Moss Icon band, Universal Order of Armageddon ]. Getting Lyburnum to look like what I envisioned in my mind became an uphill battle that involved misplaced photos, misunderstood instructions by the printer, increasing apathy, and lack of advanced printing knowledge (on my part), amongst many other technical and creative issues. With a deadline near it ended up being an it-is-what-it-is situation. Some corrections were attempted for the second pressing the following year, but a further lack of coordination between various parties saw it losing even more of the original vision." Despite these challenges and shortcomings, Lyburnum Wits End Liberation was instantly cherished as a feral masterpiece - a singular entity that would become a defining influence on post-hardcore and emo in the 1990s and beyond. Nothing before sounded like this, and nothing since has quite captured the same mysterious fury. Now, finally, Moss Icon 's seminal Lyburnum Wits End Liberation Fly LP will be released exactly as it was always intended to look, sound, and feel. The artwork has been fully restored, and includes previously unpublished photos that were inadvertently missing from the original release. Brilliantly remastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, the vinyl has been newly cut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service, and pressed onto audiophile-grade vinyl at Record Technology Inc.

In the discography of Poison Idea, 1993’s We Must Burn is recognized as the capper on the most prolific period for Portland, Oregon’s Kings Of Punk, as well as the final album from their initial thirteen-year run. Well-seasoned and confident in their sonic skin, this album showed the musical progression the band had made while still holding on to the buzzsaw guitars of TOM “pig Champion” Roberts, the defiant bellow of Jerry A. Lang, and the other elements that positioned them as one of the forerunning units for American Hardcore punk. Continuing with their tireless reissue campaign for Poison Idea TKO Records unleashes We Must Burn for the first time on vinyl in over thirty years, in this hefty two-record set. In addition to the original album, a second LP of bonus material is included. SIde's C and D contain WMB studio outtakes that originally saw release on the posthumous Religion & Politics 10”, plus live tracks from the 1992 “No On 9” festival. This legendary all-day event benefiting Gay Rights, at the Portland Meadows horse race track, saw Poison Idea sharing the stage with Nirvana and Helmet among others. The chance to absorb Poison Idea's scintillating and supposed swan song in the proper format is available to you once again. Act accordingly or be hung like a savior. Housed in deluxe gatefold jackets printed on foil-wrapped mirrorboard cardstock.

Originally released in 1994 by Photographer Murray Bowles and Filth bassist Lenny Johnson’s collaborative East Bay Menace label, this split combined two of New Mexico’s fiercest hardcore bands on one split LP. East Bay Transplants from Santa Fe, New Mexico GRIMPLE’s sound had become more harsh, caustic and acidic, retaining strong songwriting of their debut LP but shedding some of their pop sensibilities for quick metallic riffing. Their brother band, Santa Fe’s Logical Nonsense had also begun to leans heavier, creatively arranged songs which front harsh guttural vocals and brutal crushing riffs pointing to the sound of their raging follow up LP’s on Alternative Tentacles, and their influences of Extreme Noise Terror, Naplam Death and Neurosis. This album has not been repressed since it’s original pressing in 1994. It was been remixed by Noah Landis from Neurosis / Christ On Parade and re-mastered by BOB Weston at Chicago Mastering Service. The packaging is true to the original but has been painstakingly recreated with slight upgrades, including a new 11x22” insert with band photos and lyrics.

Born in the Basement, the 1994 second LP from horror-pop-punk mainstays the Groovie Ghoulies, in many ways marked a pivotal transition point for the band that would set the course for the rest of their career. After the first LP, the band had moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento, the city that would remain their home base for the duration of the band. The title of the record is more factual than one might assume: at the time, the Ghoulies' lineup of Kepi (bass/vocals), Roach (guitar), and Wendy (drums) were all co-habitating in a house by the city cemetery, practicing in the basement, where the record was indeed "born"! This lineup would remain together for the follow-up World Contact Day, which became the best-selling Ghoulies record! They also found themselves working with a prestigious new producer, recording at Seattle's Egg Studios with Conrad Uno (Mudhoney, The Presidents of the United States of America, The Ergs!). This relationship, too, would continue for World Contact Day. Fuelled by fan-favourite Ghoulies staples such as "The Beast with Five Hands," "I Wanna Have Fun," and "Back to the, Garage," the album was a self-released sell-out through two pressings, attracting the attention of legendary Bay Area punk label Lookout Records, who would work with the band through the year 2000, releasing 4 LPs and re-releasing 2, including Born in the Basement. Having already re-released the best-selling classic World Contact Day, Pirates Press Records is proud to present the album that paved the way for it and the long & storied career of the Groovie Ghoulies, Born in the Basement!

Brutal Panda is honoured to join the likes of legendary labels, Trance Syndicate and Amphetamine Reptile, in bringing one of noise-rock's gnarliest albums ever recorded back into print."Heroin Man stands as both the chronological centre of the Cherubs catalogue, and its defining moment. As one of noise rock's finest moments, Heroin Man is both a delicate, tragic statement and send-off to a friend who had OD'd, and a bellowing, roaring, over-amped screwball masterpiece of Butthole Surfers mayhem and Husker Du pop structures. It's sometimes difficult to distinguish between Kevin Whitley's guitar and Owen McMahon's bass, and that's precisely the point -- this is noise rock; and still at others, Whitley's guitar is a washing, white-noise counterpoint to the pummelling rhythm section. This is a dense, sprawling, spiralling work showing a band peaking aesthetically, with perhaps an even more ambitious album to follow. Unfortunately, due to the usual host of reasons, that never occurred. This was the Cherubs final studio album until their reformation 20+ years later." - words by Patrick Kennedy SIDE A:1. We recorded this at Westbeach recorders in "89 once again with Brett Gurewitz. This record took 6 days to record and mix. We had a blast recording this time cuz we had 6 whole days. We didn"t know how to sing harmonies yet, so Greg Graffin of Bad Religion came in and sang the back-ups on 3 or 4 songs. That was ultra cool. Too bad we couldn"t pull them off live. This was our first record to come out after Suffer (the record that changed everything) and the first record to come out on Epitaph. It sold 3500 copies the first year and that was a lot more than our previous one. Flipside fanzine called us metal and that was a total bummer. I think it was because Steve had long hair and a metal guitar. Oh well they"re forgiven.

The title of the first song on The One Thing That Still Holds True says it all:
“Impact.” CHAIN OF STRENGTH made one of the most undeniable impressions
of any hardcore band from their era, with a message as outright and direct as any
before them, and perhaps with an in-your-face attitude that was only matched by
the power of their recordings.
This Southern California band struck with the force of a ten-ton truck—merging
the guitar sound of MINOR THREAT with the crunch of CRO-MAGS, and melding
it with an intensity that gained notoriety from coast to coast. Rarely has a band
from the West Coast been able to hold its own with their East Coast counterparts;
CHAIN OF STRENGTH not only held their own, but was considered to be at the
forefront of the movement. Perhaps no other band from this era has been so
often imitated, but never has their power been duplicated.
The One Thing That Still Holds True compiles their entire recorded output, both
the True Till Death and What Holds Us Apart EPs as well as the bonus track
“Impact.” No true fan of hardcore can call their collection complete without this
essential album.

This album is arguably, at least for many, the crown jewel of the Kepi catalog. Undoubtedly the Ghoulie’s best selling album, “world contact day” fueled numerous worldwide pop punk escapades, and not only firmly put this band on the map, but made sure they would be a landmark for generations. From beginning to end, the album carries the passion, speed, silliness, and splendor, that so many have come to love from this band. Hearing these songs evokes that eternal 16-year-old in so many adults, many of whom are now bringing the next generation to Kepi’s never-ending tour. As this group of younger fans imbibes and creates their own memories around the super mega hits like “island of pogo pogo“, “when the kids go go crazy” and “ ghoulies Are Go!” this album is one that deserves to be available in any record store, anywhere, anytime. This one is truly a must-have in any Pop punk collection. Pirates Press Records could not be more proud to re-issue world contact day with that goal: to make sure that kids (and adults) all over the world can always get a beautiful copy of this spectacular pop punk living time capsule on vinyl!

Hearts Once Nourished With Hope And Compassion displays some of the most honest and darkest thoughts of Shai Hulud’s career. From the opening guitar chord of “Solely Concentrating On The Negative Aspects Of Life,” it only gets uglier and more real with each track. Mastering was done by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Throwdown, Shadows Fall) and Alan Douches (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Misfits, Between The Buried And Me). Following similar lyrical content as A Profound Hatred Of Man, Shai Hulud gives an outlet to those who are disgusted with everyday life; they are reassured that they are not the only ones who share this feeling.

In its most basic form, hardcore is the focal point of the energy, recklessness, and frustration of youth. No band from New York embodied this raw emotion so much as Side BY Side, vocalizing their disenfranchisement like none who came before them and none who have come since. Though short lived, the desperation and immediate impact of Side BY Side was deeply felt. Coming across not as a preaching, we’re-better-than-you band, and with the gruff realness that many felt was absent in some of their peers, Side BY Side tore through the boundaries that were growing in the punk and hardcore scene. They stand today as one of the lasting images of the birth of a new sound, a new scene—taking the sound of early NY punk and hardcore bands like Urban Waste and fusing it with a positive message not unlike 7 Seconds, but with the anger and intensity of Minor Threat. You’re Only Young Once... is a documentation of nearly all the captured studio output of this infamous band, including their highly sought after 7” EP plus three compilation tracks. You’re Only Young Once... is newly remastered and packaged for the first time as an LP with original artwork—including a full-color, fold-out poster with a reproduction of the original, paste-up lyric sheet insert and a large color version of the back cover photo of this decades out-of-print EP. Playing a mere 12 shows, their legacy is as strong as their “youth-crew” brethren like Youth OF Today, Bold, and Judge. A moment in time preserved by these recordings, the energy and aggression still sounds as urgent as the day it was recorded.

The Maniacs were one of 1977’s original first flush Punk Rock bands in London signing to United Artist Records and releasing the single Chelsea ‘77 b/w Ain’t No Legend recorded at Pathway studios and produced by early Sex Pistols producer Dave Goodman. The Maniacs played all the renowned Punk Rock venues in London, contributing two tracks to the Live at the Vortex album and appearing live at the Mont de Marsan Punk Rock Festival with the Clash the Damned and the Police in’77. The band were to crash and burn in true Punk Rock style at the beginning of 1978. Band members Rod Latter went on to join the Adverts. Robert Crash went on to working in songwriting & production with the Eurythmics and Robert Plant. Alan Lee Shaw went on to form the Physicals and worked with Brian James, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, Kirsty MacColl, Dee Dee Ramone and finally ending up as a member of the Damned. So Far So Loud is a 40th anniversary compilation of the most of the songs recorded in the brief history of the band including the UA single Chelsea ‘77 b/w Ain’t No Legend, the Live at the Vortex tracks plus studio and rehearsal demos. The album also comes with a fine collector’s collage of photos and memorabilia on both sides of the inner sleeve from the era.

Legendary Tacoma, Washington mathcore/hardcore/metal band Botch's debut full-length American Nervoso was originally recorded in 1998, eventually becoming one of the most ground-breaking records during a pivotal shift in heavy music. Now, the band's debut album is set to be re-issued on Sargent House 25 years after its original release. The album features white-hot guitar action, scathing vocals, sweet bass moves, and torrential drums, smashing existing precepts of hardcore and redefining both the word and the music for a generation of kids and grizzled vets alike. Bassist Brian Cook, guitarist David Knudson, drummer Tim Latona, and vocalist Dave Verellen formed Botch in 1993, eventually becoming one of the most significant bands of their time. Their final show was June 15, 2002, the same day as the release of their final EP, An Anthology of Dead Ends. The members would go on to play in These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear, and Russian Circles, among others, with acclaim for the band coming mostly post-breakup. Often over-looked, Adamantium was one of the original pioneers of what came to be Orange County’s metalcore scene of the early 2000s. Locally, From The Depths Of Depression was a highly influential album that helped propel them to be that band that touring bands did not want to play after. Released in 1998, this 25th anniversary edition is actually the first time this album has been available on vinyl since that original, ’90s pressing. To mark the occasion (as well as Indecision’s 30th), the original line-up from this record will be playing a one-off show in California this summer.

From their self-released 1993 demo tape through to the present day, the Templars have repeatedly established and re-established the high water mark for American OI! for three decades running, and 1998’s Omne Datum Optimum is a landmark record in the band’s genre-defining discography. Originally released in 1998 on Anti-Heros frontman Mark NOAH’s GMM Records, the Templars somewhat controversially eschewed their signature home recording set up in favor of a professional studio on Omne Datum Optimum. Co-produced by Noah and Jeff Bakos at Bakos Amp Works in Atlanta, GA, the album’s cleaner sound proved divisive among fans at the time of its release. Luckily, time has proven the band’s intuition correct, with the record gaining a well-deserved cult status over the years. Despite the higher audio fidelity, there are no dulled edges and no pulled punches here—the Templars’ signature Street Rock n' Roll sound is fully intact and as potent as ever. As tuneful as it is hard, Omne Datum Optimum is bursting with the intricate bass melodies, soaring leads, Working Class swagger, and thoughtful songwriting that set the Templars apart from their peers. The current renewed interest in Oi! music makes a proper reissue of this 25-year-old classic a no-brainer, and the unexpected but welcome cultural cachet of the form means that it’s more likely than ever to get its proper due. With the benefit of hindsight, it’s apparent that Omne Datum Optimum is not only a great record, but arguably both one of the Templars’ best, and a defining work of the genre. Sporting reworked cover art and our tried and true attention to detail, TKO is proud to bring Omne Datum Optimum to vinyl for the first time since its initial 1998 release.

Formed by Ken Olden (worlds Collide, Battery, Better Than A Thousand) and Mike McTernan (when Tigers Fight) in 1993, Kingdom Of Lost Souls was the second full-length album and Revelation Records debut, originally released in 1998. Brutally honest and compelling lyrics with a vocal style that can only be described as apocalyptic, the overwhelming production, the matured, dynamic songwriting, and the nightmarish lyrics and vocals make this record a truly intense listening experience.

Influencial cult classic reissued plus new Botch song! Legendary Tacoma, Washington mathcore/hardcore/metal band Botch's second and final full-length album We Are the Romans was originally released in 1999, eventually becoming one of the most ground-breaking records during a pivotal shift in heavy music. Now, the band's seminal album is set to be re-issued and will include Botch's first new song in over 20 years, "One Twenty Two". There was never any intention for the band to release anything else, but when guitarist David Knudson went to write his debut solo LP, it made sense. He explains: "During Covid, I was writing my debut solo LP, and mentally, I was sick of everything in quarantine. Lots of frustration had set in at home, and I figured the best way to deal with it was to write something heavy. I had no intention of writing anything for Botch, but when I was thinking of a singer to collaborate with, I thought, "Hey, I know the best hardcore singer ever to do it," so I hit up Dave V. He was super excited and so it just kind of snowballed from there. There was never any intent or conversation about getting back together or writing. It just happened so naturally and was a great release for all of us to make it happen without any of the traditional pressure an "active" band faces." Bassist Brian Cook, guitarist David Knudson, drummer Tim Latona, and vocalist Dave Verellen formed Botch in 1993, eventually becoming one of the most significant bands of their time. Their final show was June 15, 2002, the same day as the release of their final EP, An Anthology of Dead Ends. The members would go on to play in These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear, and Russian Circles, among others, with acclaim for the band coming mostly post-breakup. We Are the Romans went on to become one of the most influential albums ever for the genre garnering posthumous acclaim across the board.

The Cogs are a fun loving, hook crazy fast and furious pop-punk band from New York City. "No Expectations" is an unashamed two minutes of 90mph stop start punk rock while b-side "Vacation Bible School" is a slightly more laid back affair from the same sessions.

Pirates Press Records are happy to announce the long overdue reissue of one of The Slackers most acclaimed albums, Wasted Days. Their fourth studio double album, originally released in 2000, hasn’t been available since 2013, and is an essential component to any Slackers collection! It showcases The Slackers' innovative incorporation of diverse influences to create a sound that is truly their own - from ska, reggae, rocksteady, and dub to soul, R&B, calypso, jazz, and rock ’n roll. Led by Vic Ruggerio's unmistakably Bronx accented vocal stylings, the band never lose touch with the scrappy energy of where they call home, New York City. With The Slackers continuing to tour the world throughout the end of 2022 and early 2023 in support of their recent full length “Don’t Let The Sunlight Fool Ya” it seems only right to get their back catalog back in press for the new fans they never fail to make at every single show. Be sure to catch them in a town near you!

Rancid"s classic second LP, originally released in 1994, is disarmingly good from start to finish. With roots set firmly in their Berkeley punk rock origins, on Let"s Go Rancid set out with heart, soul and vehemence to reach new heights in their music. Some of the highlights are "Salvation," "Radio," and "Nihilism," but all the of the songs bristle with the unmatched signature of Tim Armstrong"s intensely evocative writing style. Recorded in their hometown of Berkeley CA, at legendary Fantasy Studios and mixed in Los Angeles at Westbeach Recorders, Let"s Go foreshadows the ground breaking success that would be found on their next record, And Out Come the Wolves.

It's the year 2000 and the term "cuddly rock" needs to be reassessed. After the mega-success of the predecessor "13", a new album is on the way. So to warm up, they first recorded an ultra-German punk EP, "5, 6, 7, 8 - Bullenstaat". The genesis of the new album title can be described, but not explained. And: plush.

Under the fluffy cover, "Runter mit den Spendierhosen, Unsichtbarer!" turns out to be a cornucopia of hits, almost all of which still occupy a firm place in the not exactly slender-breasted canon of classics of the best band in the world almost a quarter of a century later and are way ahead of the zeitgeist. Because the ärzte are - surprise! - are extraordinarily diverse, especially when it comes to one topic: Sexual intercourse. There are all kinds of sexual intercourse, including more or less common problems that unfortunately complicate the fun between men, women and everything in between.

"You're even more annoying than Yoko Ono" has not only long since become everyday language, but even landed in the Guinness Book of Records for the short but painful video. "Sometimes Women Have" almost grows into a medium scandal because of the tangible topic, then becomes a radio hit - thanks to the even more tangible video - and ultimately shows an option for feminist self-empowerment. "Rock Rendezvous" is exceedingly F-word intensive and unrestrainedly funny. But BelaFarinRod are also in an extremely good mood in other respects, rhyme their heads off extensively even by their standards and are also totally rock.

die ärzte: Now with a lot of woo-hooing, onprangering, even more pop sex, a fatal lack of kohl and a very simple question: "Does the sun also shine for Nazis?"

In 2001 Lost Sounds released their sophomore double album, following up Memphis is Dead with a maturing sound that encapsulates the bands efforts to create a record that touched on many genres including Black Metal & New Wave (hence the album title). JAY Reatard, Alicja Trout, Rich Crook, and Jonas Garland created what is commonly known as one of the most important synthpunk records in the 2000s. After many years of Black Wave being out of print, and the always fantastic Empty Records called it quits, we began discussions to reissue this release. Remastered by Dave ECK at Lucky Lacquers. Housed with reworked and additional art in gatefold jackets.
