Since the release of their second LP »Untergang /// Wiederaufbau« (»Demise /// Reconstruction«) in 2009, 88:Komaflash have swallowed down ntheir dissatisfaction with how things are, found it to be indigestible and now spit it back in the world’s face. With their third album »Eremiten im Wohnzimmer« (»Living Room Hermits«) the Munich-based rap crew takes inventory of what’s happened in the past ten years, whether in Neomuc, their own four walls or the jungle out there, with concise proletarian rap. While Omega Takeshi’s lyrics dismantle the status quo, Mars (bass), Aqua Luminus III. (beats) and Al Rock (turntables) blaze the trail with ten tracks that are as sharpedged and on point as they are complex.

Hailing from the New-York underground Hip-Hop scene, AFU-RA has sold more than 700,000 copies of its first 4 albums. Through these projects, he has collaborated with many artists such as Guru and DJ Premier but also Wu-Tang s RZA and GZA, Ky-Mani Marley, Saïan Supa Crew... to name a few. Over the years, the former member of the Gang Starr Foundation has created a style of his own: striking flows on militant and conscious lyrics and a visual universe inspired by martial arts. AFU-RA comes back with the project Urban Chemistry ; mixing Hip-Hop, Reggae and Soul, produced by Digital Cut, to be released in February 2020 on X-Ray Production. On this new album, AFU-RA has invited one or more guests on each of the 18 tracks such as Sizzla, Jah Mason, Keny Arkana, Lord Kossity, Big Shug or Mann... Thanks to an exclusive collaboration with the brand Canna, all songs have been filmed as music videos in 15 cities of 8 different countries.

Originally released in 2014, AzudemSK put himself on a wider screen in the German rap scene with "Classic". True school rap from front to end including a feature track with Slowy. The 20 Years HHV edition includes all instrumentals.

SAFE was released in January 2021 on Bandcamp, SPACE followed a year later also in January. Now both releases are available together on record with funky artwork by Felix Plien in gatefold sleeve including printed inner sleeves. The 2LP additionally contains exclusively all instrumentals.

Mix and master are done by the gifted B-Side, who also did the majority of the production besides beats by Soulmade, dédé and L Gonzz. Guests on the mic are Yustus Malick, Herr König, Milli Dance from Waving The Guns as well as Partner in Rhyme Dennis Real. The cuts come from DJ Robert Smith.

Damion Lee is hard to pin down sonically. His sound has been described as everything from “Reggae Rapper” to “German pop”. But what are categories for? The music is what matters. He blends his reggae/rap influences from his previous project „Taktattackers“ – which he created along with Masu in 1999 – to capture his music sensitivity and catchy vocal styling, which makes him a must-listen.

Limited edition of 300 copies of the "Yummy EP" by Das Kate Schellenbach Experiment, the producer duo Torsten Scholz and Tom Körbler from Berlin/Augsburg.

Torsten is the bass player of the Berlin band Beatsteaks. Tom is an independent producer, engineer and musician and also works for Beatsteaks among others. As a collaborative artist project, DKSBE! releases singles at regular intervals, in cooperation with known or unknown musicians.

The "Yummy EP" presented here comes in the classic single format, which is rather unusual for a rap EP. If now it becomes clear that the 5 songs have a maximum length of about 1:30 min, one feels rather reminded of punk or hardcore releases of the 80s or 90s. That was also the purpose of this release from DKSBE!

Logo, that the sound does not come along so hanging. Bang already! Short crisp rap songs with punk attitude, if you needed a description, then probably this one.

The band around Sebastian Dürre aka Porky, Henning Besser aka La Perla as well as Philipp Grütering aka Kryptik Joe had started working on the new album during the pandemic and the general mood and atmosphere of that early pandemic phase has inscribed itself quite automatically into lyrics and music of the new songs. So Deichkind are back - at exactly the right time.

The first single release from the album, the ambiguous song "In Der Natur", combines cryptic yodeling art with abstract criticism of civilization and shows: Deichkind's social criticism works so well because it doesn't come from the bleachers and certainly not from the ivory tower. Deichkind always mean themselves, too, when they mock the impositions of the present - and in the process, as if in passing, dress up even the supposedly most unwieldy topics in potential hits that you want to sing along to right away.

Deichkind are getting better and better, more precise, more biting. So it's good that it's finally starting again. With the eighth Deichkind album and a tour in summer 2023.

Fuffifufzich was born in 2018, with sunglasses on the face.
