Heavy Metal's 2019 magnus opus up until this point has only been released as a cassette but that is all about to change. 60+ minutes of Heavy Metal spread over four sides and housed in a gatefold jacket. This is by far Total Punk's most lavish project but as worshippers at the alter of all things Heavy Metal we are more than happy to fork over the dough.

Pressed in an ultra limited number of 200 back in 1980. Ervin Berlin was the work of Ervin Shuemake (a late 20s acid rocker) and two young punks named Jeff and TOM THE Bomb. Ervin had cut his teeth playing guitar on the crazy Terry Brooks "strange" Translucent World LP back in 1973 and spent the remainder of the 70s in various acid, hard, and prog rock bands throughout Central Florida. He met the younger punk duo of Jeff and "The Bomb" at end of 79 beginning of 80 and decided to take a stab at the punk craze with his two new acquaintances. Soon the trio was at a country and western studio in Winter Haven recording the Ervin Berlin single between sessions for possible Bellamy Brothers tracks. The blending of Ervin's acid rock chops and Jeff and Tom's thuggish punk approach resulted in this KBD space punk stomper. Equal parts Blue Cheer, Debris, Sacramento's Ozzie, and late 70s Hawkind. The 7" was pressed, a few house parties were played, and all parties went separate ways. 42 years later we are kicking off Total Punk Archives with a reissue of this lost Orlando classic. 100% Total Punk!!

Following the success of Convicted and Money Talks, Stream Of Consciousness is the last album to feature the original line-up, the band having broken up prior to its release; with multiple tempo changes on each song, this is the group at their inventive peak, prior to the regrouping that brought a more concerted metal direction. A milestone in the history of crossover thrash.

Founded in the northern Italian port city of Ravenna in the summer of 1980, S.I.B. (Swelling Itching Brain) was comprised of former members of new wave covers band R.N.A. Transfert, singer Tracy Crazy a huge UK Subs fan. The band’s scorching live performances drew a loyal following, leading to an approach by L.M. Records, Ravenna’s foremost punk and new wave imprint, to cut Third World War, their sole LP. The band’s sound was a very personal one, with reggae, punk, hardcore and new wave all part of the mix—too varied for an audience strictly loyal to genre boundaries. Unjustly overlooked following the group’s demise, we are pleased to give Third World War the reissue it deserves some 40 years later.

Rampaging D-beat hardcore punk, Stockholm’s Totalitär are one of the longest running and most renowned classic Swedish hardcore bands from the 1980’s, with almost twenty releases since their beginnings in 1985. Respected for their challenging political lyrics, Integrity and continual inventive spins on a brutal and straightforward formula of rock-driven, blasting hardcore. After a series of Farewell shows in Sweden and in the U.S. in 2003, Totalitar decided to do one final recording and album- Vi Ar Eliten (We are the Elite) which features seventeen rock-hard tracks. A combustive steamroller of their trademark desperate angry vocals, pounding rhythm section and searing guitar leads, their third full length album is one of their finest. Side note: Did you know that Emma Goldman opened an ice cream shop in Worcester (aka Wormtown) back in the 1800's? It's true, and Saint Emma would be proud of these scrappy punks and this Left-Wing masterpiece. It may have taken a decade, but No Trigger is relentless, and the band is playing Riot Fest, Punk In Drublic Festival, and shows with The Lawrence Arms in support of these new songs. "Common Crusades" is the second full-length from French Nightwatchers, and the musical and lyrical continuity of their 2019 thematic debut "La paix ou le sable". Political lyrics dealing with the conflicts rooted in France's colonial era clash with melodic, subversive, and gloomy and soundscapes throughout the tracks of "Common Crusades". An album that is as musically captivating as politically current. "Common Crusades" offers 10 melodic punk rock tracks, all contributing to the overall story and theme of the album. Fast-paced, distorted, and punchy cuts are mixed with tracks highlighting a colder and post-punk influenced side of Nightwatchers. The sound is perfectly captured by studio engineer Mathieu Zuzek. "Common Crusades" tackles the same issues that shaped Nightwatchers debut album "La paix ou le sable", but from a different perspective. Both albums deal with events surrounding France's violent colonization and exploitation of their occurred territories. While the lyrics of "La paix ou le sable" is based on excerpts taken from two historical books and written with the objective of raising awareness of France's colonial violence, "Common Crusades" mainly focuses on the aftermath of these conflicts, and how the colonial era still affects modern day France. In particular, its Muslim population. All the lyrics of "Common Crusades" are based on speeches or writings of personalities who played a role in the colonization process, as well as those who currently play a role in the perpetuation of colonial logic within the French society.

Stockholm, Sweden’s Speedway is the offshoot of Time TO Heal, an older band that Jens (bass), Gabriel (drums), and Anton (vocals) were once in. When that band split, Anton and Gabriel spent time living in Japan writing music for what became Speedway. Members have also spent time in bands Existence, Blood Sermon, and Lifeblind before going all in on Speedway. Their latest EP,Paradise includes three high-energy tracks entitled “Balance,” “Hands Of Time,” and title track, “Paradise.” The band channels the passionate energy that made Revelation Records what it once was back in the ’80s, but with a slightly more melodic flare akin to bands like Turning Point, Inside OUT, and Uniform Choice.
