The Valentine song by the 12-year-old bilingual singer SAKUra, arranged by Etsuko Yamakawa of the legendary city pop unit "Tohoku Shinkansen", which still has a strong fan base around the world, is finally available on 7" EP!! - SAKUra - Influenced by Basho Matsuo’s lyricism and Nobunaga Oda’s Atsumori dance, she is a 12-year-old bilingual singer-song girl with a love for history, anime, J-Pop and Haiku. Because of a huge love for history, she is singing songs about history. To deepen her knowledge, recently she is studying with the master historian and martial artist. Through the teachings of Confucius, she is learning about the spirit of humanity; through the　Japanese book “The Tale of Princess Kaguya”, she is learning about a cursive style of writing Chinese characters and Japanese culture. Her favorite books are 100% history books, and she is currently obsessed with books about princesses who bravely and powerfully lived through the Sengoku period (the warring period;1467-1615) . On their debut EP, Sam De Nef and Camille Camille delve into some of their most personal and introspective songwriting yet. These songs showcase their individual talents but also highlight the powerful synergy that arises when two gifted artists and unique vocalists join forces to create something truly special.

Sam and Camille are two unique and talented artists hailing from Belgium who share a gift for writing compelling contemporary folk and singer-songwriter songs. They both released acclaimed debut albums in recent years and have been crossing paths on numerous occasions. Camille appeared in duets on Sam's debut EP and his first album, Sam featured in Camille's live band, each time expressing a profound musical chemistry. This collab EP seemed the logical next step, uniting their talents to craft an EP embodying heartfelt, warm, and uncomplicated songs.

"In the collaborative journey of crafting the songs on Waving, our different creative approaches brought about a unique synergy. We feel the result transcends our individual styles. Each song resonates with our individual aspirations, which makes playing them very refreshing and challenging."

Stripped to their core, these compositions on their debut EP are defined by the gentle interplay of acoustic guitars and harmonious vocals. Only subtle percussion and the occasional cello add subtle layers to the sonic tapestry. The two recorded the six songs on their debut EP by themselves in the intimate atmosphere of Sam's home studio, opting for a DIY and back-to-basics approach. Their primary focus was on capturing spontaneity and the essence of live performance. Musical sparring partner PJ Decraene added the final touches and mixed the EP.

Dauntless Kimi he' was originally released as part of the distribution project 'Sato Ato,' which took place in December last year. For this release, the chorus was added and re-mixed, resulting in a self-recorded song with a warm tone and a bright but fragile melody line.

Though Emily Moales first envisioned "Camelot" as a way to escape her reality, the record equally provided a way to address it head on. As a prime example, album highlight “Not My Heart” takes a tale of unrequited love on a Casiotone waltz before bursting into a classic AM pop jangle, the imagery of Camelot swirling through the mix like a fluttering banner. Moales’ bronzed vocals sit front and center on the track and album at large, surrounded by a robust instrumental tapestry--though much like the album cover’s blend of Medieval font and shag carpeting, every bit of regal clarity is matched with warmly retro tones. While she’s spent the last few years recording and releasing handfuls of Star Moles albums digitally, "Camelot" felt like a big step for Moales, a realization of the project’s potential, making it especially fitting to be her first physical release.

Too Late To Start Again follows Steve MARINO’s 2019 debut, Fluff, and finds the songwriter more confident than ever before. The album tracks MARINO’s move from Bloomington, IN to Los Angeles and captures the strange combination of excitement and melancholy that can come with a fresh start. Recorded with Ben Lumsdaine and featuring guitar work from Matt Berry (the Berries, BIG Bite) and Kora Puckett (bugg, Narrow Head), Too Late To Start Again conjures up MARINO’s take on a particularly timeless strain of pop rock, providing the kind of instantly lovable earworms that will stick with you long after the record’s brisk, half-hour runtime is over.

‘ooh DO U Fink U R’ is a gloriously sunny, optimistic and defiant Motown and ‘60’s R&B influenced stomper drawing on Suggs and Weller’s upbringing in Britain’s 1970’s comprehensive school system in London and Woking respectively. This picture disc is a Record Store Day 2023 exclusive, following from the sold out limited 7” release from June ’22. Having known each other on-and-off over the last four decades, the seeds of this collaboration emerged in 2019 when Weller joined Suggs on his Radio Four series ‘Love Letters To London’ to talk about an ever changing Soho. As the world subsequently went into lockdown in 2020, the pair started chatting more and more frequently about music, clothes and football, eventually exchanging half finished songs, demos and sketches of lyrics. With its working class aesthetic, Motown influenced stomp, and uplifting brass, it’s an intuitive collaboration that sits neatly as a welcome addition to both men’s great songbooks.
