At this time’s release, Lamunai Records re-selected some of the songs by legendary musician Benyamin Suaeb who showed his excellence in combining traditional Betawi elements with innovative funk and groovy rhythms. Each track in this compilation brings listeners a unique musical journey, blending Benjamin’s distinctive humor with a nuance of sound.

Taeko Onuki's 2nd album "Sunshower will be released in clear pink vinyl specifications! (Originally released on July 25, 1977) Featuring gorgeous musicians such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and Chris Parker, this is a great city pop album that incorporates fusion, crossover, and AOR.

Originally released in 1979 Limited edition Pressed on 180g black vinyl Bursting with energy on the eve of his big break, Yamashita’s 4th record was a major milestone. The highly acclaimed Moonglow is Yamashita’s record that stayed the longest in the Oricon charts. Most of the songs included in this album were written by Minako Yoshida and composed by Tatsuro Yamashita.

Originally released in 1978 Limited edition Pressed on 180g black vinyl Yamashita’s 3rd solo record, Go Ahead!, defined the path he would subsequently follow as it a blossomed writer acclaimed for this versatility. The songs “Let’s Dance Baby”, “Bomber” & “潮騒 (The Whispering Sea)” would’ve be featured in his 1982 greatest hits album “Greatest Hits! of Tatsuro Yamashita”. Meanwhile, the song “This Could Be The Night” would get re-recorded in 1984 as part of his soundtrack album “Big Wave”.

Taeko Onuki's 1st album "Grey Skies" will be released on white collar vinyl! (Originally released on September 25, 1976) After Sugababes disbanded, he signed a solo artist contract with Crown Records.

Recorded between June ~ August 1976, Tatsuro Yamashita, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Makoto Yano, and Tin Pan Alley (Haruomi Hosono, Shigeru Suzuki, Tatsuo Hayashi) participated in this masterpiece of city pop.

Wewantsounds is delighted to announce an extensive reissue program of Meiko Kaji's first five album released in Japan between 1972 and 1974 on Teichiku Records. The program, in partnership with Teichiku and Meiko Kaji, will see her first five albums reissued on vinyl for the first time ever in their original Japanese artwork and remastered audio. Famous for her early 70s exploitation movies ('Lady Snowblood', the 'Female Prisoner Scorpion' and 'Stray Cat Rock' series) revered by Tarantino, Meiko Kaji was also a singer releasing albums to tie in with her movie career. These albums are a fascinating mix of Japanese Pop and Groove with superb funky cinematic orchestrations as displayed in "Hajiki Uta". The album is reissued with original artwork on deluxe Gatefold sleeve LP, OBI strip and a 2-p insert featuring new liner notes by by Hashim Kotaro Bharoocha who has interviewed Meiko for the occasion. It features "Urami Bushi" the theme song for the Female Prisoner Scorpion series which was used in Kill Bill Vol 2 and also "Onna No Jumon" the theme song for the film "Female Prisoner Scorpion - Jailhouse 41."

Released in 1974, Aqua is the first solo album by Tangeri ne Dream's frontman Edgar Froese. It is known as his most influential release as his entire advance was invested in the acquisition and development of the then-unknown sequencers and modular synthesisers. “Aqua is a work of creation that has opened many doors to the sound exploration and to the parameters in a fusion between abstract and harmony". This release has been out of print on vinyl until now. This deluxe package includes a 2005 bonus track and new album art that has never been released on vinyl.
