The trio's collective musical DNA, the years spent constructing it in Houston's local-meets-global cultural stew, ensures the band continues to sound like no one but itself. A cascade of crisp melodies emanates from Marko's reverb-heavy electric, dancing gently around Laura Lee's minimalist almost-dub bass triangles, while DJ's drums serve as the tightened-up pocket and unwavering dance-floor on which all this movement takes place. Yet there's a freshness to A La Sala's instrumental interactivity, less concerned with getting further out than going deeper in, a profound desire to celebrate the world's external wonders. Where prior albums strived towards music's polyglot edges, such inquiries now sound like beloved intimacies. Here, Khruangbin's sonic touch-points - whether spaghetti-western film scores (on "Fifteen Fifty-Three"), West African discos (on "Pon Pón"), G-funk fantasias ("Todavía Viva"), living room dancing moments (the first single, "A Love International"), or even ambient found-sounds (on "Farolim de Felgueiras” and throughout the album) - are ingrained characteristics. This is who they are! Unique and huge (and growing), ambitious and driven. Khruangbin's aspirations and commitment to playful creativity even extends to A La Sala's vinyl packages, of which there will be seven distinctive covers and color-sets. Designed by the band using Marko's multitude of travelog photos, the images are windows from the band's living room onto a set of daydreams, scenes of impossible skies, external glances that illuminate what is going on inside. Each cover image comes with a matching color vinyl. These too are all about looking out and looking back, in order to better look ahead.

"Minecraft - Volume Alpha" is the work of German composer and musician Daniel Rosenfeld. Under his stage name C418, Rosenfeld created the sweeping soundtrack and vibrant sound design that brought the voxel-based universe of "Minecraft" to life. Fans and critics alike were blown away by his beatless, balanced electro pieces across the board. Popular gaming site Kotaku listed the soundtrack among its "Best Game Music" of 2011, calling the music "impressively soothing," while The Guardian compared Rosenfeld's fragile pieces of piano and minimalist ambient to legendary artists Erik Satie and Brian ENO. 25th anniversary edition of the album "Roseland NYC Live" by the trio from Bristol, which was recorded and filmed in 1997 in New York's Roseland Ballroom with a 28-piece orchestra and released in 1998.

The live album and the concert film have sold over 1 million copies to date. The album features the most acclaimed tracks "Glory Box", "Sour Times" and "Roads" from their debut and second album "Dummy" and "Portishead".

The track list has been remastered and expanded to include 'Undenied' and 'Numb' from the concert film, as well as the full-length performance of 'Western Eyes', part of which was featured in the film credits.

'Sour Times' and 'Roads' are also now the original Roseland versions (previously replaced on the album by recordings from other performances). All 5 of these tracks will be released on CD and vinyl for the first time.

Bahamadia’s 1996 debut album Kollage is rightly regarded as one of the greatest rap albums of the 1990s. For the first time ever, Be With present the definitive double LP version of this eternal hip-hop classic, including the legendary "Path To Rhythm" which never appeared on the original LP or on vinyl, anywhere. An indelible VIBE from start-to-finish, Kollage presents Bahamadia's swirling rhymes delivered with an irresistibly butter flow and razor-sharp assuredness over a steady slew of smoothed-out, jazzed-up, blunted beats. Achingly cool and effortlessly funky throughout, it's an absolute must for true 90s hip-hop fanatics.

The entire Kollage project was recorded at D&D Studios and the ties to Gang Starr are keenly felt, with DJ Premier producing five tracks in addition to the killer songs Guru had already produced with her. Working with the cream of the mid-90s East Coast sound, Kollage is, accordingly, a record that demonstrates a varied musical taste with disparate influences, as Bahamadia has previously stated: “The title Kollage was a reflection of my state of mind. I first got interested in music from playing my parents’ and grandparents’ records, as well what I heard on the radio. I wanted Kollage to reflect that diversity both lyrically and sonically."

With intelligent, poetic lyricism and a laconic verbal style bursting with both warm texture and deceptive energy, Bahamadia’s flow was as inspired by Aretha and Nancy Wilson as it was Q-Tip, Schoolly D and Lady B. Swaggering out the gate, "WordPlay" finds Bahamadia confidently showcasing her considerable old-school battle-rhyme skills over a Guru beat that utilises an infectiously bouncy bassline with splashes of sultry jazz horns and a Jeru vocal snatch for the hook. Up next, the quietly shimmering and ruggedly beautiful "Spontaneity" is one of the most alluring on the record, Da Beatminerz crafting a brilliantly soulful and jazzy soundscape for Bahamadia's effortless vocals to float across. It's followed by "Rugged Ruff", where the rapper carefully constructs a swift off-beat flow over Premier's raw jazzy fire.

With smooth spacey synth vibes overseen by former Geto Boys producer N.O. Joe, "I Confess" is, without question, a fly love song and soothing (p)-funk groove. "UKNOWHOWWEDU" is an airy, chilled tribute to her hometown. Produced by Ski Beatz & DJ Redhanded, it rides a gloriously mellow break. It's a true Philly anthem, shouting out a who’s who of the entire city’s scene. Early banger "Total Wreck" follows, presenting a murky Guru instrumental elevated by jazzy horns. Bahamadia invokes the title's suggestion, firing her brilliant bars more aggressively than we’re accustomed to. More Beatminerz-brilliance comes in the way of "Innovation", an opportunity for the MC to invoke Freestyle Fellowship in her forward-thinking and literary verses. "Da Jawn" features hometown buddies The Roots, with Black Thought gliding into a back-and-forth with Bahamadia over ?uestlove’s warm, snapping percussion. With the strut club banger "True Honey Buns (Dat Freak Sh*t)", DJ Premier provides some laidback vibrant boom bap for Bahamadia to share a wild, cautionary tale about a night out with her girl, Kia.

Fan favourite "3 Tha Hard Way" is a hypnotically sinister cut, with Bahamadia, K-Swift and Mecca Star taking star turns to coast over DJ Premier’s raw beat whilst the tender "Biggest Part Of Me" is a heartfelt stunner dedicated to her son. Incredibly, only the European and Japanese CD versions of Kollage was released with the brilliantly breezy “Path To Rhythm”, featuring Ursula Rucker. Whilst ostensibly a "bonus track", it's anything but, to our ears. Very much in sonic conversation with KRS-One's stretched-out sleeper classic "Higher Level", it's absolutely essential so we had to include it, appearing on wax for the first time here, exclusively. Quite a coup.

Somewhat predictably, whilst Kollage was released to significant critical acclaim, it suffered from disappointing sales. In the intervening years - and for far too long - it was a criminally underrated record, an increasingly hidden gem. We hope this double LP reissue - which looks and sounds amazing - will go some way to correct this. This 2024 Be With double LP re-issue has been mastered for vinyl by Simon Francis, cut by Cicely Balston and pressed at Record Industry. It's too bold and beautiful to remain overlooked and underserved.

Der letzte seiner Art ist immer noch da! Kein Corona, keine geschlossenen Clubs, kein Hamburger Weg bei der Rückforderung von Hilfsgeldern, keine Musikbranche in der Dauerkrise kann ihn aufhalten: Man hätte dem letzten Breitmaulnashorn Bullen Sudan die gleiche Resilienz gewünscht, die Michael Whitelov aka DJ Stylewarz bis heute an den Tag legt.

Seit Sommer 2023 versorgte der gebürtige Bremerhavener über die letzten Monate die deutschsprachige Rapwelt erneut mit monatlichen Singlereleases. Nach dem 2019er Album „Der letzte seiner Art“ und „Mein Weg“ aus dem Jahre 2022 bündelt Stylewarz diese Singles nun auf dem Album „Hall of Fame“. Blickt man auf die Tracklist, kann man sich einer Sache sicher sein: Stylewarz bleibt seiner Linie als Producer treu und pickt die gecoverten Artists nach der lieb gewonnenen Tradition „Style over Fame“.

Nach dem Intro wartet bei „Family Biz“ mit Umse bereits der erste Protagonist hinter dem Mikrophon, der dieses Castingkriterium vollständig erfüllt. Über einen von einem Streichersample getragenen Beat philosophiert Umse wiederum über die Castingkriterien seines Inner Circle, seiner Family, die mit ihm zusammen sein Rap Biz trägt. Eine Hommage an seinen Bruder, die mit der Refrainzeile „… ich habe jederzeit die allerbesten Menschen um mich!…“ im Ohr hängen bleibt.

So verwundert es dann auch nicht, dass mit Flo Mega und D-Flame zwei weitere Rapper auf diesem Album vertreten sind, die ohne weiteres zu den Best Buddies von DJ Stylewarz gezählt werden dürfen. „Wegweiser“ heißt das catchy Rootsreggaebrett und lässt die Augen von jedem Yardi leuchten. Stylewarz’ gemeinsame Gigs mit den Hamburger Reggaelegenden von Silly Walks haben hier definitiv ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Trockene Offrhythm Snares gepaart mit Hammondorgel-Sequenzen verleihen dem Hamburger Frühling einen Hauch von Kingston, während Flo Mega den Refrain im feinsten Singerstyle präsentiert.

Und während der Booty noch am Twerken ist, wartet nur einen Track später mit „Message“ eine physiotherapeutische Herausforderung für jeden Nacken. Heliocopta aka die eine Hälfte der Kölner Rapcombo Peti Free reißt ab. Zornige Punchline über einen trockenen BoomBap Beat funktionieren sowohl mit 50er Kurzhanteln in der Hand als auch in der Karre am Strip und versorgen einen mit ausreichend Energie für den Rest des Tages.
Lange her, dass „Mies, Digga!“ so auf einen Track zutraf wie hier bei „Message“!

Ähnliche Banlieus Vibes bekommt man im weiteren Verlaufs des Albums nochmal bei „Crier ou se taire“ serviert. Trocken an Pianomelodien spitten die Brüsseler Legenden CNN199 über den Beat, und auch wenn man des Französischen nicht mächtig ist, catcht einen der Flow der beiden belgischen MCs sofort und lässt den Kraftausdauertest der Nackenmuskulatur in die nächste Runde gehen.

Mit „Hall of Fame“ setzt Michael Whitelov sein nächstes musikalisches Ausrufezeichen. Ebenso vielfältig wie in seinen DJ Sets präsentiert sich der Wahlhamburger in seinen Producerskills. Von BoomBap über Reggae bis hin zu Uptemponummern ist alles dabei, was das „2 Turntables & a Mic“-Herz höherschlagen lässt. Denn auch die übrigen Trakcs wie „Fresh“ mit L.A.A.S oder „Hall of Fame - Bounce Edition“ mit Ferris MC reihen sich in dieses Album ein, das einen gute 45 Minuten euphorisch mitnicken lässt. Die Bremen-Bremerhaven Connection, die aktuell landauf, landab die Livebühnen der
Republik abreißen, hat sich hier noch eine kleine Besonderheit für ihre Fans einfallen lassen. Der HOF-Track ist ebenfalls auf Ferris’ neuem Album vertreten, hier allerdings als „Hall of Fame - Monster Edition“!

Hall of Fame ist ein Album, das sich mit „Fühl’ ich“ zusammenfassend beschreiben lässt: Rap, wie er sein muss. Wahlweise deep oder dreckig, aber immer straight und on point. Oder um es mit den Worten von Stylewarz zu sagen - I feel (Track 10)!

On 08.03.2024, the British band will release their new album "All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade"! The fourth studio album comprises 11 new songs by the four-piece band.

The songs were written in Port Antonio, Jamaica and later recorded in "The Albion Rooms" in Margate together with Grammy nominated producer Dimitri Tikovoi (The Horrors/Charlie XCX/Becky Hill). The album was mixed by the legendary Dan Grech (Lana Del Rey/Liam Gallagher/Paul McCartney).

The first single "Run Run Run" is about the pursuit of freedom and already gives a foretaste of the musical journey that awaits fans on the album.

"This one feels like we were all actually in the same place, at the same speed, and we really connected," Carl explains of the collaboration on the new record.

The band released their last album "Anthems for Doomed Youth" in 2015 and wowed the music world.

After touring the world looking for sounds suitable for their vibrations, NU GUINEA decided to go back to square one, Napoli, where Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina were born and raised. They watched their city from a distance reconstructing its energy from their studio in Berlin, calibrating the synths on the meridian of Vesuvius, the volcano that has always protected and threatened Napoli.
NUOVA NAPOLI is the result of a long musical research that has become a historical investigation on the sound that shaped Napoli during the ‘70s and ‘80s, starting from the contamination of genres (disco, jazz-funk, African rhythms) which ended up in Nu Guinea’s DNA.
In this album the synthesizers fill the spaces between the past and the future, tightening in a single body acoustic instruments, electronics and voices in Neapolitan dialect. It is the first time that the duo has worked with such a large group of musicians, some of whom are exponents of the contemporary Neapolitan scene.

As C418, composer and producer Daniel Rosenfeld designs sounds to resonate in both physical and pixelated realms. Best known for his original soundtracks to Minecraft, the single best-selling video game of all time, he's developed a discography of instrumental music over the last decade that traverses electronic pop patterns, neo-classical dreamscapes, and sparse ambient motifs. "Into The Blue is the clearest portrait of who I am as an artist. It's me through and through," says multi-instrumentalist Aaron Frazer. A daring blend of soul, psychedelia, spaghetti western, disco, gospel and hip-hop, Into the Blue represents the impressive range of Frazer's sonic talents. Frazer maintains the unmistakable falsetto and classic songwriting he's known for, but plants Into the Blue firmly in the now with a hip-hop mentality at its core, weaving together genres and production techniques to form something new. Into The Blue was conceived, like so many classic records, out of actual heartbreak. Frazer moved cross-country from Brooklyn to Los Angeles and embarked on a journey that's reflected in the album's themes of grief, loneliness, and searching for healing. "Into The Blue really means heading into the unknown. That has been the last year of my life and I'm still in the blue," Frazer explains. "But there are also songs here that celebrate love and the giddiness of a new relationship and all that. That's part of a breakup to me, processing the whole thing, remembering the things that were right as much as the things that were wrong." Frazer wrote on every track and played several live instruments on the album. The title track, "Into The Blue", is a haunting, resolute anthem, combining cinematic strings and tough-as-nails breakbeats as Frazer heads west. "Here I go, to a place where the broken heart knows," he sings. "It's all I can do. Back into the blue." "Payback" is an explosive dancefloor heater, featuring shimmering tambourines and driving bass lines. Northern soul drums meet snarling fuzz guitar, hurdling towards its epic conclusion. The album features moments of towering arrangements, recalling David Axelrod and Ennio Merricone, balanced by rawness, incorporating iPhone recordings and one-take vocals. For Into the Blue, Frazer enlisted Grammy-winner Alex Goose as coproducer, known for his crate-digging samples and collaborations with hip-hop artists like Freddie Gibbs, Madlib and Brockhampton. Frazer also experimented with samples for the first time on a record, drawing from unexpected sources like 90s R&B group Hi-Five. Though Into the Blue is born out of heartbreak, Frazer hopes it leaves listeners with a sense of optimism. "You know, you can still laugh on a day when you're grieving," he says, "there's no peaks without valleys," he says, but Into The Blue sees Aaron Frazer at new heights.
