For the first time ever since the digital-only release in 2011, the first "Minecraft" soundtrack is now released in physical form. The vinyl version contains twelve tracks! "Minecraft - Volume Alpha" is the work of German composer and musician Daniel Rosenfeld. Under his stage name C418, Rosenfeld created the sweeping soundtrack and vibrant sound design that brought the voxel-based universe of "Minecraft" to life. Fans and critics alike were blown away by his beatless, balanced electro pieces across the board. Popular gaming site Kotaku listed the soundtrack among its "Best Game Music" of 2011, calling the music "impressively soothing," while The Guardian compared Rosenfeld's fragile pieces of piano and minimalist ambient to legendary artists Erik Satie and Brian ENO. As C418, composer and producer Daniel Rosenfeld designs sounds to resonate in both physical and pixelated realms. Best known for his original soundtracks to Minecraft, the single best-selling video game of all time, he's developed a discography of instrumental music over the last decade that traverses electronic pop patterns, neo-classical dreamscapes, and sparse ambient motifs. The latter element has broken from the "8-bit" pigeonholing of game music and earned him accolades that reference artists like Erik Satie (The Guardian) and Brian Eno (vice). In 2015, after quietly self-releasing Minecraft Volume Alpha and Minecraft Volume Beta, Rosenfeld partnered with Ghostly International to reissue Minecraft Volume Alpha on vinyl and CD. The release garnered attention from proper music critics and the gaming community alike, becoming one of the most sought after records in the Ghostly catalog. Now, following several restocks of Alpha to fervent fan response, it is time for the soundtrack's second installment to shine. For the legion of listeners and players to, at long last, have Minecraft Volume Beta in tangible formats. Originally self-released in 2013, Minecraft Volume Beta was C418's longest batch of music to date at nearly 140 minutes. The collection features tracks that were "silently" added to Minecraft during its music updates and a few that never officially entered the game. The run time is now adapted to fit the double LP format, while digital downloads include the full set Rosenfeld's unmistakable abilities are on display; he creates a sweeping variety of musical ideas that mirror the limitless universe of Minecraft. Ghostly International is thrilled to give this unique collaboration its due treatment and hopes to see the creative inspiration which drives Minecraft and Rosenfeld continue to disperse by virtue of this unexpectedly universal music.

Waxwork Records is thrilled to present the debut vinyl release of Se7en Original Motion Picture Score by Howard Shore. Directed by David Fincher, Se7en is a 1995 gritty neo-noir film starring Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kevin Spacey.

Pitt and Freeman star as Detectives Mills and Somerset as they search for the elusive serial killer John Doe (Spacey), who has been carrying out meticulously planned murders based on each of the Seven Deadly Sins. As the murders pile up, the detectives gain insight to John Doe’s twisted philosophy, leading to the grizzly end of his terrible crime spree.

The score by master composer Howard Shore brings a somber and menacing component to the movie. The dark and symphonic orchestrations undercut Fincher’s gruesome images with an unyielding tension throughout the film. Shore’s deep resonant brass and high eerie strings drag the listener deeper into the cruel and chaotic world of Se7en.

Samurai Champloo Music Record: Departure is a soundtrack album, originally released on June 23, 2004. It is the second of four soundtrack albums released for the show. The album was produced by Japanese DJ / producer Nujabes, and American MC/producer Fat Jon, and featured Japanese rapper Shing02 and Japanese singer-songwriter MINMI on the album’s first and last tracks, respectively. Departure was critically lauded and is the best known album from the series, with especially high praise being reserved for “Battlecry”.

The music of the Samurai Champloo anime series was created by a group of producers: Japanese hip-hop producer Tsutchie of the rap group Shakkazombie, American hip-hop producer & emcee Fat Jon of the rap group Five Deez, Japanese hip-hop producer Nujabes, and Japanese DJ & production duo Force Of Nature. The music genre is primarily instrumental hip-hop.

First released in 2000, the original Flcl is a coming-of-age anime set in the fictional Japanese city of Mabase revolving around an alien detective, Haruko, who seeks the space pirate king, and Naota, a sullen young man facing the tribulations of adolescence. The original series of Flcl was eventually followed by Flcl Progressive and Flcl Alternative, which continued to follow Haruko as she careens through the lives of young people in her ongoing hunt. Two more series of Flcl – Flcl Grunge and Flcl Shoegaze – were recently announced for release in 2023.

Produced by the studios Production I.G. and Gainax, the Flcl series have become beloved outside of Japan for its unique animation style, robust action sequences, and unforgettable soundtrack. The music to Flcl was composed and performed by the Japanese alternative rock band the pillows. Flcl Season 1 Vol. 2 (Original Soundtrack and Drama Album) contains music by the pillows from the first season of the show, as well as a series of Japanese audio drama tracks. This two LP release includes 16 tracks pressed on purple vinyl and blue marble vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket along with a credit insert.

The soundtrack comes in a beautiful packaging with original artwork by Christopher Ortiz (@kiririn51), Koyorin (@koyoriin), Grey Monarch (@losebetter), Tofu+Beast (@KawaiiMess) and Daniel Leander Goffin (@danielgoffin). The repress also includes the one-sided A2 poster, 12“ booklet with a fictional *Kira* Miki interview as well as three download codes for Prologue, Second Round and the Bonus Track Collection (featuring *Kira* Miki vocal tracks sung by Adriana Figueroa). The vinyl tracklist was curated by composer Michael Kelly. All songs were remastered for vinyl by Christian Bethge at Rama Tonstudio in Mannheim, Germany.

About THE Game: Va-11 Hall-a: Cyberpunk Bartender Action is a booze em' up about waifus, technology, and postdystopia life. Its main mechanic consists in preparing drinks using the available ingredients, but rather than just following an order to advance through the story, it's up to the player to decide what kind of drink to serve. In short, this is about serving the right drink, and you achieve this by paying attention to your client's rants. Rewards include different events, dialogues and endings.

Laced Records, id Software and Bethesda proudly present the music of seminal 1997 first-person shooter Quake II on vinyl.

19 specially remastered tracks by Sonic Mayhem and Jer Sypult will be pressed onto heavyweight discs. Sleeve artwork is by id Software, with Jason Williford providing character illustrations. The bulk of the soundtrack was created by Sascha Dikiciyan aka Sonic Mayhem — his first game project among an enviably long credits list. Having caught id Software’s ear with an unofficial Quake album (alongside production partner Dave Valencia), Sonic Mayhem and id Software went on to develop Quake II’s trademark aggro-industrial metal sound, inspired in part by Metallica. The killer riffs, repeated for effect, urge players forward through the Strogg city and beyond, a trail of gibs in their wake. Jer Sypult’s “Climb” complements the selection with its driving industrial groove.

Theme songs from the movies “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” which was released 35 years ago, “Castle in the Sky” and “My Neighbor Totoro” have been loved by many people up until now and even appeared in music textbooks. The original 7” singles will be reissued and included in the box set. Remastered for this time, you can enjoy the vinyl only sound. We hope you experience the greatness of vinyl record.

It was as part of the European Demo Scene that Kyd first worked with the eventual founders of IO Interactive, going on to score their stealth-action debut. Despite the memory constraints of the DirectMusic system at the time, Kyd delivered a simmering combination of ambient and cinematic music. His signature sound of grand melodies set against groove-based electronica is in evidence here, especially in the hypnotic main title track.

Plunging headfirst into the world of orchestral melodrama, Kyd worked with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and Hungarian Radio Choir to imbue the second Hitman game with a sense of strife and splendour. His signature style is still intact in the live recorded orchestrations: strong melodies, catchy rhythms and harmonic influences from all over the globe. The early series’ trademark groovy electronica fills out the soundtrack, incorporating world music elements to suit 47’s globetrotting escapades.

This is the masterful score that Italian composer Franco Micalizzi created for the 1979 Sci-fi horror film Stridulum (aka. The Visitor). The Giulio Paradisi film featured a star-studded cast including Mel Ferrer, John Huston, and Shelley Winters. Although it wasn’t as commercially successful as expected at the time, its unique subject matter and expressive style eventually attracted a cult following. While Micalizzi is better known for his ‘Poliziotteschi’ flic scores and collaborations with director Umberto Lenzi, his trademark sound is unmistakably present on Stridulum with its visually evocative, engaging, and spacey take on funk. The film’s commercial performance aside, all this is enough to make Stridulum one of Micalizzi’s most captivating, if eccentric, works. Packed with great tracks such as the film’s main theme, the multiple variations on the ‘Sadness Theme’, and the standout sci-fi disco-funk of ‘Jerzy Again’, the Stridulum score offers plenty in the way of listening enjoyment. The present re-issue features the original artwork from the 1979 first pressing, along with bonus tracks including 7 alternate tracks and outtakes.

The discography of the phantom Gruppo Sound exceeds over thirty titles published in an undefined time frame between the Eighties and the Nineties. However, there is very little information about this curious pseudonym. it is possible to find a library music album by Gruppo Sound inside the Canopo, Deneb, Flower, Monosound Records and Teams catalogues, all managed by Flipper Music publishing group, but both the creators and the musicians have never been the same. Gruppo Sound is only a collective name, maybe to identify a certain number of 'new' productions characterized by an electronic background And, not by chance, the author of “New York City” is a single artist, the multi-instrumentalist Gabriele Ducros. Son of the prolific composer Remigio Ducros, he first followed his footsteps in the field of music libraries and soundtracks and then become the author of many tracks for television commercials of a certain relevance, winning some international awards. “Some of these tracks may have been associated with a pornographic film. Those familiar with the incredible work of Nathan Johnson will not be surprised by his melody forward approach to such a dark and cynical film. Occasionally bleak but always gorgeous, the film delivers on its promise of grifters and hubris, but Nathan's score balances the equation with a propulsive and somber and simple score. Nathan Johnson and Guillermo Del Toro made beautiful music together. It is a brilliant partnership, one that I hope continues into future productions.

Nana is a Japanese manga created by Ai Yazawa and first published in Cookie magazine in 2000. It tells the story of two young women, both called Nana, who meet on the train to Tokyo and, despite their different personalities, become roommates and friends.

The manga was a great success with readers, thanks in particular to the quality of its plot, its characters and its soundtrack, which includes several original songs written by Ai Yazawa herself. It was published in 21 volumes in Japan and has been translated into many languages, including English and French.

In 2006, the manga was adapted into an anime by the Madhouse studio, under the direction of Morio Asaka. This 47-episode adaptation brought Nana to an even wider audience, and was also praised for its quality.

The "Nana - Best" anime soundtrack is the result of the collaboration of various artists, including Tomoki Hasegawa, Anna Tsuchiya and Olivia Lufkin. Their unique compositions and interpretations capture the emotions of the characters and the essence of the world of "Nana". The album brings together iconic songs that amplify the impact of key moments in the story, creating a memorable musical experience.

Beat Records and Digitmovies are pleased to release for the absolute first time on CD the complete edition of the brilliant soundtrack by Guido & Maurizio De Angelis for the sci-fi comedy “Chissà perché… capitano tutte a me” (aka Everything Happens to Me) directed in 1980 by Michele Lupo and a cast starring Bud Spencer, Cary Guffey, Ferruccio Amendola, John Bartha, Giancarlo Bastianoni, Paolo Figlia, Lorenzo Fineschi, Giovanni Gianfriglia, Robert Hundar, Clayton Landey, Amedeo Leorini, Ottaviano Dell'Acqua, and Carlo Reali. For the sequel to “Uno sceriffo extraterrestre... poco extra e molto terrestre” where Sheriff Scott Hall fights crime and alien androids to protect the extraterrestrial child H7-25 with the final victory of the good guys, Guido & Maurizio De Angelis composed a really nice soundtrack. At the time, a 45 rpm single (Polydor 2040289) was released in Germany featuring the tracks “Mr. Nothingoesright,” a vocal version, and the instrumental “Blue Space.” For this vinyl of ours, with a duration of 38:28, we used the recording session master tapes provided by Cabum. The main theme, “Mr. Nothingoesright” is the funny country tune that we hear in the version performed by the famous Douglas Meakin and reprised in instrumental versions. The legendary De Angelis brothers wrote dramatic and action music with a recurring electronic rock piece that serves as the background to Sheriff Scott's skirmishes with criminals which is also reprised in an extended version entitled “Blue Space”. The Oliver Onions songs “Six Ways” and “What I'll do” also appear in some scenes throughout the film. Mastering by Claudio Fuiano, graphic layout by Daniele De Gemini.
