Originating from a serendipitous encounter in a smoky Leeds nightclub back in 1979, Josephine Warden and Brian Moss embarked on a musical journey that would redefine the synth-pop landscape. Initially known as Vicious Pink Phenomena, they made their mark by providing distinctively off-kilter backing vocals for their friends in Soft Cell a collaboration that unfolded organically and without rehearsal. Transitioning to the simplified moniker Vicious Pink, the duo continued to captivate audiences with their avant-garde sound, releasing a string of singles that defied conventional expectations and climbed the UK dance charts between 1982 and 1986. Despite their modest intentions, their music proved to be both artful and provocative, leaving an enduring legacy in the annals of electronic music history. 'Unexpected' offers listeners a glimpse into the duo's creative process, compiling pop experiments recorded spontaneously, some in collaboration with Dave Ball. Each LP is housed in a deluxe glossy heavyweight sleeve, featuring captivating artwork that reflects the essence of Vicious Pink's sonic universe. Limited to 999 copies, pressed on high-quality 160 gram Coke bottle clear vinyl, this release promises to be a collector's dream. Included with every LP, is a 5” x 7” postcard adorned with an exclusive, unpublished photograph of Brian, Jose, and Dave, providing fans with a personal memento of this remarkable musical journey. Chbb was a project by Beate Bartel and Chris Haas that developed from their collaboration in 1981, while working on the self-titled album 'Liaisons Dangereuses‘. They released their music only on four limited cassettes.

This compilation presents the complete works of Chbb, including all recordings from their original cassettes alongside previously unreleased tracks produced by both artists.

The second release of Taiyo & Ciscomoon's 7-inch project, "Magic of Love", will also be released on July 24, 2024, which received enthusiastic requests from DJs. Its B-side features the song "Versus".

"One, Two, Three" was released in the Hello! Project's 15th anniversary year and their 50th single in total. This is the first full-fledged double A-side single. The original release date was July 4th, 2012. The B-side features "The Matenro Show".

Morning Musume's first 7-inch project will be released on July 24th. The original release date was September 9th, 1998. “Daite Hold ON ME!” was the first Morning Musume song to reach #1 on the Japanese singles chart. The 7-inch B-side contains the song "Tatoeba".

An analog single of Tatsuro Yamashita's classic cover, which was previously only available for digital release! It includes "Koukiatsu Girl" newly mixed for this analog release, and the lead song "That Must Be September" from the latest original album "dreamin'" on the B-side. The song was written, composed, and arranged by Junk Fujiyama's sound creator, Tatsuki Kamiya, who has worked on all of Junk Fujiyama's recent works, creating an ongoing city-pop sound.

Toko Furuuchi’s two popular albums, “Futsuu no Koto” and “cashmere Music”, which were released during her Pony Canyon era from 2003 to 2007, will be released as analog records for the first time on August 3, 2024.

“cashmere Music” was released as her 14th original album in 2005. The album features four arrangers: Toshiyuki Mori, Shin Kono, Yuta Saito, and Ryuji Yamamoto. It includes a variety of song arrangements, ranging from standard urban AOR numbers and catchy 80's sounds to funky songs, electro, and hip-hop sound approaches. Furuuchi’s unique world of sad poetry adds a new direction for the next album and beyond.

Side D includes a bonus track titled “Somewhere in Tokyo”, which is the first collaboration with Takaki Horigome of Kirinji. Additionally, the album features a new cover of “9ji karano Lily” by Japanese group called “Cappuccino”, written by Yu Aku and Shunichi Tokura in 1981.

Toko Furuuchi’s two popular albums, “Futsuu no Koto” and “cashmere Music”, which were released during her Pony Canyon era from 2003 to 2007, will be released as analog records for the first time on August 3, 2024.

The album “Futsuu no Koto” will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024. It contains ten songs, including self-produced band-arranged songs by Furuuchi herself, that depict the encounters and partings of a man and a woman, as well as happy love story. Those songs emerge vivid scenes, as if you were watching a movie. The timeless songs, which has not diminished even after two decades, continues to be performed at her concert.

Barber IN THE Livingroom is a 5-member city pop band based in Fukuoka that has become a hot topic with its soulful singing voice and groovy rhythm section, along with a jacket drawn by Hiroshi Nagai. Continuing from last year, the long-awaited second album "Moon& Palms" will be released at "citypop on Vinyl 2024"! If the debut album "Barber IN THE Livingroom" was a landscape of daylight and mirages, "Moon & Palms" is a landscape of lights and nighttime flights flowing from dusk to night. ●kyoto Jazz Sextet is an acoustic jazz unit started in 2015 by Shuya Okino of Kyoto Jazz Massive, a DJ/music producer unit that is active worldwide. With the concept of expressing the "current state of jazz" rather than just a nostalgic hobby, he has released two albums so far: "mission" (2015) and "unity" (2017).

●Fully featuring Takeo Moriyama, the pinnacle of Japanese jazz drumming. The two performed together for the first time as headliners at Tokyo Crossover/Jazz Festival 2021 held at Shinkiba ageHa@STUDIO Coast on November 20, 2021. The audience was overwhelmed by the spirited collaboration that transcended generations.

As featured cellist on the Cirque du Solei’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal tour, Tina Guo’s unique playing style on both electric and acoustic cello was heard by over two million audience members worldwide. She has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Hans Zimmer, released ten albums in her own right, and is featured on multiple games and film soundtracks. Born in China to musical parents, Guo moved to the US when she was five years old. She has had a notable classical career as a soloist for various orchestras including The San Diego Symphony, alongside her more mainstream work. Game On! is her eighth studio album, originally released in 2017 and is themed around her extensive work on games soundtracks. She brings her own dynamic style to a selection of popular themes from The Legend of Zelda to Pokémon. This release brings these powerful recordings to vinyl for the first time.

Originally released in 1978 Limited edition Pressed on 180g black vinyl Yamashita’s 3rd solo record, Go Ahead!, defined the path he would subsequently follow as it a blossomed writer acclaimed for this versatility. The songs “Let’s Dance Baby”, “Bomber” & “潮騒 (The Whispering Sea)” would’ve be featured in his 1982 greatest hits album “Greatest Hits! of Tatsuro Yamashita”. Meanwhile, the song “This Could Be The Night” would get re-recorded in 1984 as part of his soundtrack album “Big Wave”.

An example of globalisation's ultra exoticisms: a Guinean hit that changed the perception of African music in European dance charts (selling over a million copies), covered by a Hongkongese pop star two years later, the perfect recipe for ensuring heavy frothing amongst diggers and collectors worldwide. Besides its aesthetic novelty, it's also highly effective on just about any dancefloor, a theme that sounds so familiar to many but then with the added unexpected surprised factor of the lyrics being sung in a female voice and in Cantonese -- a hard moment to forget on a well helmed club floor. Another generosity of this release amongst the other 3 tracks is a display of heavy Cantonese ballad prowess in the Adult Contemporary landscape, especially with a cover of Gamble & Huff's "When Will I See You Again", huge on the couples' slow dance scene, shameless drama.
