Despite the memory constraints of the DirectMusic system at the time, Kyd delivered a simmering combination of ambient and cinematic music. The LP includes their original song, Bye Bye Baby (co-created by Yoma Fujita and Haruomi Hosono) performed live in 1975, at the Spring Carnival in April 1976 at the Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall, and at the “Haruichiban Concert” in Osaka in May of 1976. The LP also includes two songs performed with Richard Bell from the Full Tilt Boogie Band (Janis Joplin’s band), John Sebastian, and Taeko Onuki at the Rolling Coconut Revue Concert in Harumi, Tokyo in 1977. Comprised with a total of 11 songs, this is the best of best selection of the live performances of the Makoto Kubota & THE Sunset Gang. Please enjoy their true essence with this LP. On February 15, 2023, a LP version of the album Rhythm Romance by Makoto Kubota & THE Sunset Gang is planned for release. This album is mastered based on the studio demo that was recorded in the late ‘70s on a 10-inch open-reel tape.

Operating out of a small upstairs space just around the corner from the train station in the Kichijoji neighborhood of Tokyo, OZ was a scruffy, DIY affair that lasted not much more than a year. Between June 1972 to September 1973, the cafe and performance space became the nerve center for the city’s burgeoning underground and counterculture set.

Hadaka No Rallizes, aka Les Rallizes Dénudés, the psychedelic noisemakers originally from Kyoto, was one of the marquee names at OZ. Led by the enigmatic Takashi Mizutani, the now-legendary band was one of the earliest bookings for the venue, and would ultimately close out OZ Last Days, a raucous five-day blowout to celebrate the short but wonderful world of OZ. To commemorate the occasion, recordings made at OZ were released as OZ Days Live, a private press 2LP set featuring Miyako Ochi, Acid Seven, Masato Minami, Taj Mahal Travellers, and four tracks by the Rallizes—which constituted just a fraction of what had been recorded at the time. For nearly 50 years, these songs remained the only official appearance of the Rallizes on vinyl LP—until now.

With The OZ Tapes, we are finally able to hear the missing pieces. Stored on reels of Scotch analog recording tape, these recordings had laid dormant in storage for almost half a century. The previously unheard material reveals the Rallizes at some of their most unhinged and experimental, as well as moments of delicate tenderness—the two sides of Mizutani that would come to define his band’s legacy. Taken as a whole, The OZ Tapes help to demystify the band’s murky history, yet this vibrant and seemingly relatively innocent era only hints at the explosive, uncharted worlds into which Mizutani would lead the band.

On Directors Cut Kate revisits a selection of tracks from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes.

Kate has re-recorded some elements whilst keeping the best musical performances of each song - making it something of a director's cut but in sound, not vision. Fish People are proud and excited to announce new pressings of all 10 of Kate Bush's albums, featuring a special new edition for independent retailers.

Indie editions were all designed by Kate and feature new Fish People label designs, stunning Color Vinyl combinations and obi strips with pressing date. They are protected in resealable poly-bag liners with a 'Fish People Reissue' sticker, bottom right.

These are unlimited editions and will be in production constantly.

Formed in Glasgow Scotland in 2002 as a project and quickly signed to Retribute Records in 2003, releasing their first album in 2004 entitled …start killing. Recorded in a low budget studio in Clydebank, Scotland with producer JF Dagenais making the long trip from Quebec to record/produce. Some extensive UK touring followed and the band the went on to become the first UK band ever to sign to US label Relapse Records in 2006, a 2 album deal was done and the first offering the Human Condition 2007) propelled the band onto the European stage with tours alongside Kataklysm, Aborted, Macabre, and Misery index. The Human Condition also saw the band travel to Canada for a month long stay to record once again with JF Dagenais Kataklysm) for an unforgettable adventure. It was in 2009 when Man Must Die released what was their breakthrough album No Tolerance for Imperfection, recorded by Scott ”the terminator” Atkins in England,UK. Featuring the tracks “Kill it skin it wear it” and “It Comes in Threes” which will always be mainstays in the MMD set lists. On the back of this release MMD toured with the likes of Machine Head, Hatebreed, Exodus, Decapitated and Kataklysm. Some years of set backs with Band members and life in general slowed progression after this release, some line upchanges and the band was back in the studio in 2012 to record their 4th album Peace was never an option. At this point only the founding members Joe and Alan the MMD writers) remained. The album was recorded By Micheal “Raphone” Allan now the second guitarist in Mmd) in a beaten up studio in the back of beyond in the east of Scotland. The Album was released in the UK with Grindscene records and in the Europe/world wide by Lifeforce records in Germany.

At Now-Again, we avoid hyperbole, yet we believe that this album is one of record collecting’s ultimate finds: the missing entry in jazz pianist/composer/psychiatrist Denny Zeitlin’s discography, a wonderful and weird fusion of avant-classical, jazz, funk, rock and electronic music. The Name Of This Terrain was recorded and pressed in a scant, custom run as a demo in 1969 –and it so defied its own existence that, even after its producer died and his copies were discovered, Zeitlin steadfastly resisted its release for almost 20 years, destroying his remaining demos so not to posthumously suffer the same ignominy. Following his reappraisal, this album is issued with its creator’s blessing and guidance. You will surely never hear an album like this again, by the musician the venerable jazz critic Leonard Feather called, “the most versatile young pianist to come to prominence in the early sixties,” and who took a left turn at the end of the decade, documenting a pivotal 20th century moment with passion, intellect, and humor in turn. The Name Of This Terrain found its way out of the depths – wonderful and having aged well, like well-corked, deep wine stored in a cold cellar. Ready for another moment to shine and be understood, redolent of the tastes and textures of a different time, one we pine for and that we won’t often see again, but can happily, momentarily, indulge. Morgen’s self-titled 1969 album is the sole release by the NYC band led by songwriter / vocalist Steve Morgen. Now-Again’s Reserve edition of the release pairs the album with previously-unreleased songs and alternate takes to create denitive double LP reissue of the album. That casual listeners have never heard of this late 60s masterpiece is by any measure a musical injustice. Morgen offers a portal to a dream space where the expansive, artful touches never prevent the band members from pummeling their instruments like their lives depended on it. Paul Major, perhaps the first Morgen evangelist, likens the album’s immediacy to that of Hendrix, stating “Morgen was one of the records that came closest to giving me that same kind of thrill on that level. It blew my mind!” Geoffrey Weiss, Now-Again’s nomination for World’s Greatest Record Collector, states “…unlike 95% of the rare psychedelic records that people celebrate it sounds like they were good musicians who were well rehearsed and had worked out this sound very intentionally. Morgen has a kind of power – you really can’t compare it to anything.” The band, and Morgen’s arc were – cribbing Kurt Vonnegut – unstuck in time. It took 50 years for Steve Morgen’s belief, for instance, that an alternate, superior version of his stellar “Purple” was recorded in 1968. It sees release here, alongside other takes of songs from the album, including a version of “Beggin’ Your Pardon (Ms. Joan)” on which Morgen’s fiery guitarist Murray Shiffrin sings lead and songs the band recorded as possibilities for the album, before settling on their dense, hazy vision and etching an indelible entry into the psychedelic canon. The set is rounded out with the inclusion of extensive liner notes by Jeff “Chairman” Mao as well as never-before seen photos and ephemera in an oversized book. McCreary uses his own voice to create an ominous “kids choir” and collaborates closely with legendary actor Mark Hamill who sings the track for the film, “The Buddi Song”. Inspired by Chucky’s toy origins, McCreary challenged himself by composing a score predominately with toys and handheld instruments, completely avoiding traditional orchestra. Toy pianos, slinkies, xylophones, rattles, ukuleles, accordions, kazoos, hurdy gurdies, and more are married with a variety synthesizers, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass to create a wholly original, terrifying, and dynamic score.

The 6th entry in the Now-Again Reserve Edition series is the definitive reissue of a lauded and misunderstood Krautrock album as well as the first band-sanctioned reissue in the series.

The most mysterious Krautrock album, German Oak’s “Down in the Bunker” has been fetishized and demonized, lauded and misunderstood for nearly four decades. In this definitive Reserve Edition of the album, the German Oak trio – together again after 30 years apart – have approved the remastering of their 70s music, finally tell the story behind the creation of their dark, brooding album – and the occult-obsessed record collector behind the original album’s release and its myth – and they share previously unreleased music and photos.

The obscure Düsseldorf band’s self-produced debut were mainly spontaneous sessions recorded in a bunker. According to an online statement by the alleged bandleader the music was later published by a friend of the band who centered the titles and the artwork on World War II themes, in which the band itself had little say.

This two LP set presents the album as it was initially released, and a second disc of other songs by the band, both rare and previously unreleased.
