Theirs are the kind of long-form weighty psych jams that bring to mind heroes like Moe Tucker, Stooges and Dead Moon. Tasteful, smart, fun and fresh for your late summery nights.

A-side song Give and Take is 4 sturdy minutes of drone garage groove capturing the feeling of loose tension in between giving and taking and pushing and pulling. On the flip side, Nickel and Dime is a mucky pop song zeroing in on a dude unfit to pull his own damn weight and, from the sounds of it, not worth the trouble.

We’re happy to announce our new 7”, a collaboration between producer Ojah and Jamaican singer Clive Hylton.

The A side contains the track “Always”, featuring Clive Hylton on vocals, who delivers a timeless reggae track. Clive Hylton (a.k.a. Colour Red) is a veteran Jamaican singer who amongst others worked with Lee Perry at Black Ark Studio back in the day.

On the B side we find the track “Always Dub”, a dub version mixed live by Ojah that takes us into a different territory, making the listener appreciate sounds and layers that were half hidden on the vocal version.

We are also releasing a melodica version called “Forever” (aldbs7018) over this riddim, featuring Nik Torp from The Specials.

One of techno's most joyous experimentators delivers two intriguing uptempo tracks. Instead of hitting
hard and heavy 'In Aggregate' and 'Carob' float delicately, with explosive detail blooming freely and
high above what feels rather like a bass-ladden undercurrent than a persistent kick drum foundation.
Both tracks expand on Stefan Goldmann's extensive polyrhythmic research and integrate tonal and
metric functions within the same units of sound. Somewhat radically, the central sound of 'Carob' is all
in one: beat, bassline and single-note melody. By contrast, 'In Aggregate' unfolds lush layers of
exuberant percussion, countered by rounded drops of bass and an occasional vocal snippet
ricocheting off of claustrophobia-inducing walls of glass.
As future-forward as they are organic, these offerings come with appropriately idiosyncratic artwork by
Jorinde Voigt. Printed on inside-out heavy paper cover + a printed inner sleeve.

Originally established as a charity supporting club night with a focus on mental health, London-based outfit Mind Of Ours proudly present this debut release with their strongly rooted club and rave foundations instilled into the grooves of the vinyl.

We Go From Here EP comes from the exciting rising producer and Mind Of Ours co-founder Luke Sandler, who has previously released on labels Eagervision Records & Of Onyx. He produced this new project entirely whilst simultaneously working on the NHS frontline during this Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the space and time of five incredible tracks, Luke Sandler skilfully presents us with a cross section of UK club culture, built with a rich and visceral rave aesthetic and providing both warm nostalgia and stark originality as it transports us to a dark & misty yet highly euphoric nightclub dancefloor.

We open with Tommy Hilfiger, a constantly shuffling, bumpy & bleepy lo-fi house x breaks hybrid which reflects both retro and contemporary club fundamentals. Next up Don’t Think slowly builds and crescendos with it’s irresistibly hard-hitting breakbeat percussion before exploding into a gorgeously exhilarating universe of goose- bump inducing musical delight.

Side A then finishes with title track We Go From Here which is informed by its deep rhythmics and sweeping movement resulting in a piece of music which sends you on a journey of epic proportions.

Flip the record and we find Synapse, a track more in line with House & Techno tradition, it carries an undeniable groove and effortlessly blends grittiness with euphoria, emphasised with hypnotising digital arpeggios. Things are then rounded off with Cara, a beautifully haunting experimental affair steeped in emotive wonder, underpinned by its relentless and constantly building vocal loops and melodic keys.

The Bay Area's Smiles are back with their second 7" and what a blast it is. Superbly-crafted pop is the order of the day here, with echoes of everything from prime Teenage Fanclub to Big Star to the southern power-pop of folks like Dwight Twilley and Tommy Hoehn. "Gone For Good" is 3:33 of pop perfection, with a marvelous melody, heavenly harmonies and a bit of a triumphant guitar solo sneaking in at the end. On the flip side we get another gem in "This Boy," a brief tune that still feels fully-formed, rather in the style of fellow West Bay songsmith Tony Molina. Bound/Cured are two brand-new songs from the Richmond, Virginia/Asheville, North Carolina/San Diego, California, quartet Bleach Everything. Their first new recordings since 2019’s split LP with Integrity, Bound/Cured goes even further into both the pure violence put forth on 2018’s So We Gnaw LP and the melodic components introduced on the aforementioned Rftcc recording. Clocking at 1:29 and 1:08 respectively, both songs get in, get to the point, and then get out with razorlike precision, cutting exactly as intended. Thematically, “Bound” explores the uncertainty of luck and life and never truly knowing how it can, will, and can still shake out. “Cured” addresses the notion of figuring out how one must come to terms with the truth before death takes care of the task. It took you longer to read to this point than to experience both songs in their entirety.
