We hooked up with DJ Stress from Connecticut, a man who has been paying his dues in hip-hop for over 35 years now! He first started out as a DJ back in 1985 and around 1992 he started getting into production as well.

In 1996 he recorded a 16 track deep album with local Hartford, CT emcee Tone Benjaminz. An album that remained shelved until now, 25 years later! Tone Benjaminz is a multi-talented emcee, producer, songwriter, and voice actor who goes all out with gritty, multi-syllabic, aggressive lyrics over DJ Stress' hard hitting and grimey beats. All tracks were remastered from the OG DATS and the vinyl will be limited to only 300 copies total and that's it!

Label co-founders Joey Deez & Doug (Remulak) had long discussed the concept of creating a compilation album in order to showcase the wide rage of styles that comprise the imprint's eclectic output.

With a profoundly dramatic intro, « Bully » immediately immerses us in the icy Scandinavian waters, on the verge of hydrocution. An epic, almost mystical opening, heralding the impending flood. Water then, in all its temperaments, under all its temperatures, spreads everywhere, throughout the listening, sometimes soothing, sometimes thundering. Under pressure in « Extremely Urgent », it even becomes irrepressible. Next follows a demented race set to submerge everything. Open valves and sinks, overflowing swimming pools, flash floods, storms and tsunamis, endless monsoons, melting ice and glaciers… It is ultimately a liquid world, entirely drowned under water that we find in « 5th generation », outro of a new genre which invites to reinvent the future, and why not Mama Told Ya’s future. It’s hard not to hear in this aquatic odyssey an ecological warning, a call (back) to Nature.

Themed around events in nthng's life, Unfinished is a deeply personal journey, yet there's something very relatable to the world he has conjured. Lockdown has forced us to look inward, explore realities within ourselves and the fragility of our forgotten world. The album is a series of peaks and troughs - hopeful words, ominous tones and other-worldly soundscapes, giving way to a journey in no way linear - but a true reflection of our times.

The title track sets the scene perfectly, while Son features deep bass notes, dreamy keys and spoken word - creating a visceral and unsettling scene. Subnautica resides in the fringes of ambient and techno - as tribalistic drums are suspended in our new rendered reality.

The marching bass and howling synths of Wrath of the Demon lull conspicuously in a vacuum, while the hauntingly beautiful vocals featured on Disappeared But Not Forgotten evoke a poignant, powerful reaction across the record's B-side - "Everything stopped, you just disappeared..."

At its most tranquil Our Time offers a sense of rest - a space to appreciate, as we leave the window open, peer outside and feel the gentle breeze brush across our face. Saafe continues this theme, and feels like a warm embrace - "She saved my life in a matter of speaking, when she gave me back the power to believe."

Ending Theme is beautifully organic as you hear the sound of the piano pedal touch the floor, tones are introspective and vulnerable - while the looming presence of uncertainty subtly takes form in thinly layered pads.

The album also sees the release of a digi only bonus track Only a Flash of Light and invites you outside while the stars are at their brightest.

‘Feed Me Weird Things’ was Squarepusher’s debut album. Released on 3rd June 1996 by Rephlex Records (jointly run by Richard D James and Grant Wilson Claridge). Tom had previously released the Conumber EP (as Squarepusher) and Alroy Road Tracks (as the Duke of Harringay) on the newly formed Spymania label the year before. The album was preceded by the Squarepusher Plays EP in May of 1996 also on Rephlex. The extra tracks from this EP not on the original album made up the Japanese bonus tracks when it was released there and will be included in our reissue.

The album was a key release for Rephlex and has gone on to be regarded as one of Squarepusher’s best. It marked a time of strong influence and although they wouldn’t have used the term, led to the sub-genre of Drill n Bass.

Tom’s strong jazz influences and virtuoso bass playing come to the fore on this album setting it apart from his contemporaries.

The album including all bonus tracks has been remastered by Matt Coulton at Alchemy.

This will also be the first time the album is available on streaming services.

Since their inception in 2010, the 9-piece Haitian collective Lakou Mizik has long sought to shift public perception of their home country through music. The multi-generational outfit's blend of traditional Haitian music and punk energy inspired Joseph Ray of NERO during his 2015 visit to Haiti. While the producer initially intended to sample Lakou Mizik, it wasn't enough to sample them, bringing us to the collaborative Leave the Bones.

Limited to 500 copies, the VMP exclusive edition of Lakou Mizik and Joseph Ray's Leave the Bones is pressed on 2LP Apple vinyl at Precision Record Pressing and is mastered by Joseph Ray. When I Hit You — You'll Feel It is a 16-track anthology that celebrates the extraordinary work of musician, poet and author, Leslie Winer. It spans Winer’s three-decade-long musical career: from her groundbreaking solo work in the early ’90s to her latest inspired projects. Featuring musical contributions from Jon Hassell, Helen Terry, Jah Wobble, Renegade Soundwave’s Karl Bonnie and others, the collection also spotlights Winer’s diverse collaborations, and unearths previously-unreleased recordings. The album is newly remastered by the Grammy Award-winning engineer John Baldwin and includes a new interview with Winer, captured by the compilation’s co-producer, acclaimed author and journalist Wyndham Wallace. Rounding out the package is an insightful essay by the award-winning writer and scholar Louis Chude-Sokei and an original cover collage by the renowned British photographer and artist, Linder Sterling, and design by Christopher Shannon.

Today, Winer stays busy on new musical projects in the French countryside, where she has spent the past two decades raising her five daughters. In the modern era, one is hard-pressed to find an artist who continues to push the creative envelope as much as Winer does. This book is a collection of various materials: posters, fanzines, and fliers with the signature of the Virus collective, which the authors of this volume managed to retrieve. All the materials present were made public and distributed freely during the years of its impetuous presence: from 1982, the year of its creation, to its final closure in 1989. Reproduced in chronological order, they retrace with no need for additional captions a chronicle of the city of Milan and the Italian province in the 80s. Graphic simplicity and aesthetic roughness are an integral part of the content narrated in the lyrics. The name Virus is remembered, not only as synonymous with Punk, but above all as a real place for experimenting with alternatives to the system.

After 2 years of absence from our catalogue we are glad to reveal we are close to release a new edition of Fabio Frizzi’s fans most beloved horror score, Zombi 2, with the American title of Zombie Flesh Eaters, a project we are developing since five years! Since ever paired with Un gatto nel cervello, now finally alone in a version that is gifted with unreleased material which was recorded in a tape found in an old Ribot archive. One of the holy grails in our catalogue, since ever bitterly loved, because of its shortness: even if the older version featured a good portion of the score, it was largely incomplete. With the addition of the material transferred from this extra tape, and with the song There’s no matter, which can be heard at the beginning of the movie, when the two protagonists investigate the sequestered ship, we can attest this is the definitive edition of this outstanding soundtrack which marks a significant style evolution of the Maestro, aside the growth of his artistic relationship with Lucio Fulci. In this edition we offer the score on CD in a deluxe hardpaper box with the insane artwork by Graham Humphreys, both on the box and on the 40 pages book inside, slim jewelcase with a maxi inlay featuring the iconic photographic poster of the time and a crazy black and white artwork by Alexandros Pyromallis. Gun line is complete with liner notes by Antonella Fulci, Fabio Frizzi and Daniele De Gemini, mastering by Enrico De Gemini.
