Thus, he perpetuates this tradition of the uprooted freak that we sometimes come across on the terraces of cafes in the South of France which, like a storyteller, make you escape with crazy stories. He has already played in front of 15,000 people at a festival in Wuhan! It's therefore easy to understand that A Break Away, this new solo album, is a journey disc in the form of a breakaway (literally A Breakaway, for those who haven't followed, be it from society, taking holiday, or a strategy in competitive cycling), the album recorded during a return to Australian soil during the last March. In eleven titles, Nathan brings together the great story (Ground Zero) and his most personal memories, mourning his dear collection of records, sold in order to survive on his arrival in France (Recollection) and suffering memory loss because of it, narrating his successive encounters with his idols David Berman (Silver Jews) and Daevid Allen (Two Davids House) in his youth. This naturalistic writing, which can evoke Jonathan Richman, is combined with an encyclopedic knowledge of guitar music, forged while he was a record store in Australia. Thus he delivers songs evoking both the greatest hours of Fire Records (The Stevens) and the Lou Reed of the mid-70s (Tristan Winston Price, and his Hunter/Wagner style solos on R&R Animal). Emily Yacina is a Pennsylvania-born Long Beach-based musician and songwriter who began writing and recording songs at age 14. Drawing on making sense of relationships and navigating inner cosmology, Yacina released her first set of songs in 2011 and continued to release batches of EPs over the proceeding years, culminating eventually in her first full length album Heart Sky in 2017 and her first studio album Remember The Silver in 2019.Due to be released July 2022 on Danger Collective, All The Things is a career-spanning compilation of songs by Yacina that highlights her ability to work adeptly across a wide range of styles and abilities as both a producer and collaborator. Yacina's songs have the power to convey large-scale feelings and ideas with striking immediacy, just as much in her lo-fi home recordings as in her glossier recent studio recordings, which have a richness that gives them an extra dimension of space to bloom. On this compilation there are three new, previously unreleased songs; "DB Cooper", "White Bull" and "Dominos" which were recorded and produced with Melina Duterte of Jay Som.

The album began to take shape during January 2019. It has been recorded live by Matt Bordin ad Inside Outside Studio, in Veneto, Italy. The choice of this method is due to the desire to avoid the use of any post-production tool, to maintain a natural sound and a hard impact on the listener. "Robox" is made of nine instrumental songs characterized with A furious post-punk full of violent and high impact riffs. If and Only If is the latest project by Canadian indie hip hop stalwarts and long-time collaborators, soso and Maki.

Over a period of two decades, soso and Maki have been charting their own unique course, operating at the edges of the hip hop genre to develop a distinctive and personal body of work that helped define the prairie hip hop ethos.

On If and Only If, their first album in seven years, Maki has crafted a delicate and evolving backdrop for the contemplative lyrics that established soso’s reputation as one of the most unique voices in alternative hip hop. Drawing from noise, drone and other forms of electronic music, Maki sets the tone for an album imbued with the pressing political issues and social tensions that have characterized the past five years. The album was certainly not rushed. It is well-considered, deliberate in pace and intent. This is winter walking music.

Sign continues to deliver his truth, whether it ’99 or ’22, the content can reflect decades as he pays homage and penance to his three sons, reminds us what a true winter really looks like, argues with people on social media, battles rappers who who only write battles but dont freestyle, sprinkles in some political satire and a special one for all the ladies, all except for one.

Marco Scozzaro is an Italian multidisciplinary artist based in New York. With his project l’oggetto he produces underground house music, blending jazz/funk influences with a deep Italo flavor. Starting off in hardcore-punk bands in the ‘90s, he eventually embraced club culture, electronic music production, and DJing. Odd Men Out are something of a garage-psych international super-group, with members originally hailing from Italy, Spain and the UK. Lois (drums) and Alessandro (guitar, organ, vocals) had already been playing together in legendary freakbeat trio The Embrooks since '96, while bassman Bruno had served time with moody-psych-turned-spiky-British-Beat exponents The Liquorice Experiment and Looking Glass Alice. The untried 'x' factor in this equation is frontman, guitarist, songwriter Nicolino whose love of moody 12-string folk rock and florid psychedelia shapes the overall sound of the band. Late in 2019, the quartet gathered at North Down Sound Studios in south east Kent to record the material presented here. Tracked predominantly live with a bare minimum of overdubs, this is classic 60s-inspired garage-psych, with elements of The Lemon Drops, Basement Wall and The Baroques to name but a few, yet the four never let their influences get in the way of producing quality original material.
