ENGLEMAKER is a raging hardcore / punk / metal band from Oslo city east, where the moon is cold and riding the subway is fucking terrifying. Formed by four old, jaded assholes on the onset of the seemingly endless winter of 2012/13, hell-bent on being the heaviest, least jocular hardcore / punk / metal band in Europe and wiping the floor with a continent of haircut enthusiasts, scenester wimps and snot-nosed Internet forum dildos. Past and present engagements of the members include Summon the Crows, Eskatol, Betongbarn, Ungeromimizu, Mine, Cataract, Arma Gathas, just to name a few. The name ENGLEMAKER (angelmaker) comes from a dark chapter in Norwegian history and stands for a person who received children in need against payment, and intentionally neglected them so they died – hence the term "angelmaker". Since no floor boards in Norway could handle their power and might, ENGLEMAKER stumbled into the dusty forests of Karlstad, Sweden to record their self titled debut record at Leon Music with Rikard Løfgren and Gustav Ydenius. The end result is five tracks of double hard bad attitude in just below eleven minutes, to be released as a one-sided 10" on the band's in-house label DISIPLIN MEDIA. The “Serie Pegaso” catalog stems from the need to write music and lyrics that have a strong link with the city of Naples, that speak the same language and tell it through stories, loves and memories. There are countless stories and testimonies of people who left the "land of the sun" to migrate elsewhere in search of fortune and work, but not many know that there is a small bird, the “Capinera”, which has instead decided to do the inverted path through a long journey from cold and distant lands to then settle and find a new home on Mount Vesuvius. But there is also another story, between reality and legend, which is that of the most beautiful woman in the neighborhood called by everyone 'A Capinera' because of her long and enchanting black hair. She was a widow coveted and desired by all, but she will remain faithful to her deceased husband throughout her life. The only source of livelihood for herself and her three children was the smuggling cigarette trade, although she could choose and get whatever she wanted thanks to her irresistible beauty. This is what the creators of the Capinera project tell us, and they are: Gianpaolo Della Noce (better known as Dnapoli and half of the acclaimed diggers duo Napoli Segreta, Michele Cesare aka Breakstarr (one of the pillars of the city's beat makers scene) both assisted by the sharp voice of Adriana Salomone. Together with the production team led by Dario di Pace and Raffaele Arcella the result is the nostalgic and exotic Reggae-Pop in Neapolitan colors of "Il Volo" (today in exclusive preview on Spotify) and the sparkling disco infected “Suonno”.

Recorded late at night in a tiny room in Montpellier, Invisible Cities quivers like a candle by the sea, its fragile illumination flickering against an expanse of sky, silence, and sorrow. The pieces feel both ancient and immediate, glimpsing currents behind the veil, at the threshold of presence and absence. The track titles evoke similarly transient states of echo, memory, and negative mirrors. Philadelphia’s Sweet Pill write eruptive emo songs that embrace the edges of pop and hardcore. The kind of band whose members are fully immersed in their local scene-through a handful of notable side projects and the show-promoting Philly staple 4333 Collective-the quintet’s sound takes wide-spectrum influence from its environment. The result is an amalgam of complex song structures and flourishes of technical acumen, wholly unconcerned with genre, yet evoking the specific styles of touchstones such as Paramore and Circa Survive.

On their debut longplayer Where the Heart Is, Sweet Pill’s unbound, raucous energy presents through ten autobiographical tracks that hinge on singer Zayna Youssef’s elastic, enrapturing voice-at times belting and controlled, at others textural and guttural. Supporting Youssef are guitarists Jayce Williams and Sean McCall, bassist Ryan Cullen, and drummer Chris Kearney. Their blistering lead single “Blood” sees Youssef exploring a deteriorated friendship over Williams and McCall’s trudging riffs and tactful counterpoint, with Cullen and Kearney rumbling nimbly in the song’s foundations.

Second single “High Hopes” counters with introspective, melodic punk that reshapes anxiety rather than succumb to it. But third single “Diamond Eyes” momentarily slows the pace, with McCall joining Youssef on vocals for a breakup lament laden with acoustic sentimentalism and an emotive flurry from guest flutist Jill Ryan. Such range is the central facet of Where the Heart Is, where Sweet Pill’s penchant for combining punkish tropes enlivened with the vibrance of math-rock and the aggression of post-hardcore sweetened with pop sensibility compound into something stylistically new yet still familiar.

Necrodeath is one of the most important and outrageous names in extreme metal; formed back in 1984, it is one of the first extreme metal bands originating in Italy. First time release with all the songs recorded from this seminal Spanish band. Replica for cover and inside art work. 180 gram vinyl. Espasmódicos were formed in the Malasaña council, Madrid in the first days of 1981. J. Siemens (guitar), Kike (voice) and CSG71 (bass) were the first line-up, completed when Carlos Torero joined them as a drummer. Influenced by the first punk-hc bands coming out but also for some hard-rock elements, soon the first tracks were composed and then, in 1982, the mighty DRO label released their first 7" called "Recomendado para molestar a su vecino", featuring 3 songs that are one of the seminals steps into punk in this country. They had a guest on the person of Karlox from Polansky y El Ardor at the saxophone, something very weird in the bands of that first punk wave. Since the 7" was released the band started to be well known and they went to some Spanish TV shows to promote their work. Carlos Torero decided to leave the band and a studio-session drummer joined in the person of Carlos de Yebra. In 1983 the band recorded their last songs: first they registered the mighty tracks that went on to the great compilation "Punk, qué punk?" released by DRO. This songs were "Tía, vete a cagar" and a free cover-version from Sex Pistols called "Belsen was a gas", something that pointed the band to a weird status as the lyric was something into Nazism or fascism, something that the band never were. The second studio session for that year (and the last ever for the band) was to register their maxi-single "Espasmódicos", five songs together with the great art-work done by J. Siemens and Kike Kruel, very similar to the Crass's stuff and so. Beat Generation, absolutely fan of the band, is more than proud to release this LP with all their discography, together with a replica of the art-work.

Following the magical debut "The Mammoth Sessions", the new album dfrom GEORGIA'S HORSE is a study in heartbreak and loneliness set amidst the backdrop of the vast landscapes of American Southwest. Notable exceptions would be our dear and revered friends Daniel O'Sullivan (Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses and Grumbling Fur) and Alexander Tucker(his solo session, Grumbling Fur and Bardo Pond) and Josh Graham (A Fallen Black Deer, A Storm Of Light, Blood & Time). When Aidan Baker let us know he was back in the UK doing his solo material, we obviously had to ask him to join the exclusive club of repeaters and follow up his exemplary 2010 Nadja session with something entirely different. Aidan brought British tour-mates Plurals to the studio with him. Over the two tracks the collaboration has bore some beautiful and exoticfruit. A gradual unfurling of intricate layers of soundbuilds and envelopes the listener over "Dead Foxes In The Street"'s twenty minutes, creating a warm and uplifting aural atmosphere. The second half of the session is an entirely different affair. "Turning Children Into Mice" is a brooding, decidedly sinister beast, weaving a repetitive and increasingly dark threat, until it explodes into a hive of noise, and then slowly and poignantly dies a hero's death. This is truly a collaboration that makes the most of the musicians touring synchrony.

Following the reissue of the tribute album The Inner Flame: A Tribute to Rainer Ptacek, Fire Records begin the Rainer Ptacek reissue series in earnest with the release of his debut album "Barefoot Rock", featuring the band Das Combo. Based in Tucson, Arizona, Rainer was a highly skilled guitar master and pioneer of the desert rock sound along with long-time collaborator Howe Gelb, before tragically dying of brain cancer in 1997.
