Infernal Affairs' was born in the downturn of Hong Kong movies in the early 2000s, with a compact plot and an innovative narrative style. It won word-of-mouth from the audience, achieved a box office revenue of 55 million Hong Kong dollars, became the 2002 box office champion, and represented the peak of Hong Kong film creation. 'Infernal Affairs' has been remade many times at home and abroad, including Martin Scorsese's remake in 2006 as the American version of 'Infernal Affairs' called 'The Departed'. It won four Oscars, including Best Picture. Both China and Japan have been remade the film into TV series. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of 'Infernal Affairs', the film's soundtrack is being pressed for special release of the global limited edition 'Infernal Affairs' vinyl format. Created by Hong Kong famous film composer Chan Kwong Wing, the soundtrack was performed by the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra and the Nicolaus Esterhazy Orchestra, the Asian Philharmonic Choir and the Hungarian Choir participated in the chorus. 'Infernal Affairs' is a successful example of the flawless combination of light, shadow and music. Cooperating with the compact plot, each note is closely related to the progress of the plot, arousing the audience's emotions, creating a tense atmosphere and enhancing the dramatic effect. In the first act of drug dealing, the struggle between good and evil is perfectly demonstrated. In addition to plots and images, music also plays an important role in certain scenes. Cai Qin's song 'The Forgotten Time' connects two protagonists with different fate trajectories. Another example is the scene where Huang Sir was thrown off the building and died, and Feng Xiyu hummed the episode 'Goodbye - Police', like the sound of the sounds of nature, I feel sorry for Huang's death. When fans recall the scene, the music often comes to mind at the same time.

This 7inch box set is a 20th anniversary limited edition box set that includes the theme song by Nujabes, the song from the anime, and other goods. All six jackets have different designs, and the merchandise features newly written illustrations commemorating the 20th anniversary of the show's broadcast, making it something that both music and anime fans can enjoy.

Nujabes is a musician, composer, DJ, and producer, who has been active in a wide range of music activities based in Shibuya, Tokyo since around 1995. In March 1999, he established “Park Avenue Studios” in Jinnan, Shibuya, and runs an independent label. After releasing more than 30 12-inch singles, he released his long-awaited first album “Metaphorical Music” in 2003. In March 2004, he was selected as the music director for Comme des Garcons' Bali Collection, and after producing the sound for the anime “Samurai Champloo” for Fuji Television and appearing at SonarSound Tokyo, he released his second album “Modal Soul” in November 2005. In November 2005, he released his second album “Modal Soul”. In November 2007, he released his first record collection album “2nd Collection” four and a half years after “first Collection”, and in 2008, he released a compilation album of his influences, “Modal Soul Classics By Nujabes”. Even after his death in a car accident in February 2010, his genre-defying, one-of-a-kind sound continued to attract followers worldwide, and in 2018 he was ranked the #1 most played Japanese artist overseas in the U.S. by Spotify. In 2022, the remake of the song was featured in the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, creating a buzz. He continues to be highly acclaimed around the world.

Following the release of the first volume of the Koto: Tapestry series, Cinedelic completes the series of 3 with the release of the remaining two valuable albums. 'Tapestry: Koto' is a 3-album series produced by Nippon Columbia in the mid-1970s dedicated to one of the main instruments of Japanese traditional music: Koto. The beauty of the trilogy curated by composer Kiyoshi Yamaya, whose chapters are respectively dedicated to Sea, Hillside and Country, lies in the fact that they are a modern translation of tradition using newer and more avant-garde sound idioms, integrating the koto with jazz musicians. An original mix, a 'crossover’ that allows for the awakening and the consequential spread of traditional music in larger contexts. The extreme accuracy of the marvellous recordings is also remarkable. The performers on this fabulous album are: Toshiko Yonekawa - learned to play the koto at an early age, performing in a public concert as early as 8 years old. For three years, from 1941 to 1944, she won prizes as the best performer in the Japanese Cultural Federation's competition for traditional trios. She also received an award from the Prime Minister. Many other important recognitions followed, until she became president of the Reichokai and executive director of the Sankyoku Association. In 1996, she was appointed Living National Treasure. As a koto player, her best-known characteristics are her extreme precision of intonation and rhythm and the unparalleled beauty of her sound. Kiyoshi Yamaya - born March 1932. He attended the Kunitachi College of Music. Between 1956 and 1960, he performed with 'Nobuo Hara and His Sharps & Flats' (clarinet, saxophone, etc.) and was responsible for composition and arrangement. In 1959, he formed the 'Modern Jazz Three Association' with Norio Maeda and Keitaro Miho, which contributed to the improvement of the level of composition and arrangement in Japanese jazz. In 1965, he became conductor of the 'Tokyo Union Orchestra' and received the Japan Record Award's Arrangement Award. His name appears on more than 100 albums. Dreamy synth pads take us into another world and dimensions quickly rush by. A beautiful and touching atmosphere evolves, and the slightly off-key sensual string harmonies are predestined to generate emotions. A fast floating 808 kick expedites the spaceship beyond infinity. Entering the final stage, no one less than Orlando Voorn spreads happiness all over. Orlando’s particular shuffle rhythm paired with alien reverbed synthesizer stabs form the basis of “Samurai”. But the outstanding feature is especially the noisy gritty bit-crushed synth hook line in connection with energetic and graceful vocal samples. As the penultimate, Marco Faraone & The Florentian Cabaret serve a playful and harmonious composition with 80s charm, which clearly stands out from their independent releases. Lovely organ sounds are layered with shimmering Roland-Jupiter-like synth pads, bringing everybody back together on the dance floor in the morning hours. To close things out, of course, we need an after-hour vibe provided by a stripped-down minimalistic groove from Fango. “Betta” invites you to close your eyes and let yourself go due to its hopeful carpet of sound and love designed to stimulate your soul. Side 2 begins with the superb vocals of Ben E. King with ‘Stand By Me’ and Percy Sledge with ‘When A Man Loves A Woman’. Another Otis Redding classic alongside the genius of both James Brown and Nina Simone brings this LP to a close.

The A-Side of LP3 kicks off with the signature smash from Aretha Franklin ‘Respect’ before the first UK #1 for the Motown label from The Supremes with ‘Baby Love’, and there’s still room for Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Drifters, and another #1 from Freda Payne. Side B begins with one of the most iconic and funky baselines ever on ‘Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone’ from The Temptations and the classic grooves ‘Move On Up’ from Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes’ ‘Theme from “Shaft”’, the emphatic ‘War’ from Edwin Starr and the cool sophistication of ‘California Soul’ from Marlena Shaw lead to the closing track ‘Could It Be I’m Falling In Love’ from The Spinners.

LP4 begins with a run of beloved tracks from iconic artists opening with the politically charged masterpiece ‘What’s Going On’ from Marvin Gaye, followed by Al Green, Bill Withers and Billy Paul, plus The Stylistics and The Delfonics to add to the selection of celebrated groups on this release. The second side begins with the exceptional ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’ from Roberta Flack, before the stunning vocals of Minnie Riperton’s ‘Lovin’ You’ and Deniece Williams, The Three Degrees and Gladys Knight. The Jackson 5 bring this disc to a close with their timeless ballad ‘I’ll Be There’.

LP5 contains a run of 1970s favourites beginning with ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ from Diana Ross and ‘You're The First, The Last, My Everything’ from Barry White. ‘Fantasy’ from Earth, Wind & Fire, ‘Summer Breeze, Pt. 1’ from The Isley Brothers and ‘Love Train’ from The O’Jays all feature before the Commodores kick off the final side with ‘Three Times A Lady’. Rose Royce, Peaches & Herb and a second selection from Gladys Knight & The Pips feature along with George Benson, before the “Prince of Soul” Marvin Gaye brings this essential collection home with ‘Let’s Get It On’.
