The new Clearaudio Turntable Vinyl Harmo-nicer mat: A genius development to improve any turntable sound quality.

This new turntable mat, made out of pure vinyl, will improve the contact between the platter surface and the LP. Every LP-record will sound more dynamic and more authentic. More balanced sound at low frequency and higher definition at middle and high frequency. Unfortunately for many record listeners, this was not reissued due to the high cost. FLUX-HiFi took up this idea with the SONIC and developed the technology anew. The result is fantastic!

The stylus is the primary component in the playback process. The movement by which tension is later induced arises here. The goal is to exactly follow the groove in the micrometer range. In order to achieve this perfectly, the manufacturers of pickups make great efforts. However, if the needle is dirty, the diamond , no matter how polished and ground it is – cannot exactly follow the deflection. It reacts too early or too late, distortions occur. Even supposedly clean records are covered with dust, partly visible, partly invisible in the groove. It contains particles of silicates, polymers and organic matter. These stick to the needle due to the high temperature during the scanning process. How quickly this happens is in Fig. 1. Already after playing a record side, almost nothing is recognizable from the needle in front of dirt. Figure. 2 shows the needle after cleaning with a normal, dry needle brush. Fibers are removed, but the encrustation remains. Only an aggressive liquid cleaner provides a reasonably cleaned surface of the diamond, see fig. 3. However, since these cleaners can attack not only the glue of the diamond, but also, above all, the sensitive rubber parts of the suspension of the needle carrier, caution should be exercised here. A liquid is required to transfer the vibration from the device to the needle. This has an additional, gentle cleaning effect and is produced on an isopropanol basis. After application, it evaporates without residue. Flux fluid is applied on a specially designed pad made of the finest PE fibers. Already these fibers produce a capillary effect, which is very similar to the effect of a liquid, due to their number and the resulting density. In combination with FLUX-Fluid, the result is a perfect combination that transmits the vibration and absorbs the dirt at the same time. The application is recommended before each play.

The 10 inch record has a long history dating back to 1947 and offered exclusively by Columbia Records at the time. The 10 Inch Record was revolutionary in that it offered a chance for labels and artists to present more songs on a single platter than previous iterations. The 10 inch record was originally marketed as a 'Long Playing' or LP record and reigned supreme until about 1954 with the advent and popularity of the 12 inch Record. Still and all, this proud slab of wax continues to live in hearts and bins of many collectors.

The 10 inch record is often offered as a unique keepsake for fans and a chance for an artist to release a superior sound quality recording when cut at 45 rpm. Deep uncrowded grooves!

This special Music Box has been designed to specifically hold and protect 10 inch Vinyl Records. It can used vertically or horizontally.

As with all our Oak Music Boxes we use 18mm thick edge glued Oak and 'tongue and groove' joinery in the construction and our oil is composed of Cooked Linseed, White Spirits, pigment and siccatief (a drying agent).

This stunning Edge Glued Oak Music Box color was developed as a custom project from one of our clients, but we thought it looked so good we decided to offer it in our Music Box Vinyl Storage line. Use the Rosewood color exclusively or mix and match with our other Music Box colors to create a rich, unique pattern to compliment your listening room.

And, in honor of the late Pete Shelley we have decided to refer to these beauties as ‘Singles Going Steady.’

In 1949, RCA Victor unveiled its latest invention, the 45 rpm 7 inch Vinyl Record in an effort to compete with Columbia Records newly developed 33 1/3 12 inch disc. Time constraints aside, what RCA unleashed on the world of recorded music was the perfect vehicle for the burgeoning youth market, who could now easily own the latest musical dispatches from their favorite artists, in a convenient and affordable medium.

Seventy years later, the 45 or 7 inch record has remained a staple of the vinyl collecting community. From highly valuable pressings of the world’s greatest songs to rare independent recordings of artists utilizing the format to put out “non-album” outtakes or live recordings as a gift for their fans, the 7 inch collector is a dedicated and specialized breed and they deserve to store those precious discs in the best way possible. And as with our 12 inch Vinyl Storage boxes, we have designed what we believe to be the most beautiful, and durable 7 inch storage available.

Our 7 Inch Vinyl Storage Music Box has been constructed of the same edge glued Oak of our 12 inch Music Boxes. The 45 degree mitered joints have been reinforced by an internal series of wooden dowels for even greater structural integrity. The internal dimensions of the Music Box have been carefully considered to allow for a perfect fit of single records and even some 7 inch box sets. The tops of the records do not stick out, so it is possible to stack the boxes on top of each other, and the convenient handles make moving our 7 inch Music Box easy as pie.

RECORD LABEL PROTECTOR FOR CLEANING

This product is a label protector that protects the label in the middle of the record from water when you clean your records with water.

Considering the requests and improvements received from users for the Label Protector 'CLP01' released in August 2019, the label protector, which screws onto the record label from both sides, has been enlarged to make it more manageable. At the same time, the thickness of the label protector has been reduced so that it is easier to hold.

A replacement rubber seal and a rubber plate are included in the delivery.

Micro Wet Brush

Spray a cleaning fluid onto the velvet brush and brush along the sound groove of the record. Then wipe with a soft cloth. After use, dry the brush thoroughly, remove any dust and store it in its box. If the body becomes brown and dirty, we recommend that you replace it as soon as possible.
