We are proud to be reissuing Benny The Butcher and 38 Spesh's seminal joint album, Stabbed & Shot. These underground kings were both at their hungriest at the top of 2018 and this LP is the proof. Air Vinyl will also be releasing Stabbed & Shot II in early 2020, so this re-release should get fans ready.

Although the i-38 is a fictional highway, it represents the road Spesh has taken to get where he is today. His hustle and grind are well known among his peers. The trafficking themed song titles on this album (“The Mule,” “Toll Booth,” “Road Back,” “Made It Home,” etc.) tease the kind of weight-moving bars to be found within. Guests on the album include Spesh's TCF Music Group labelmates Ransom and Che Noir, as well as regular collaborators Benny The Butcher, Elcamino, and Klass Murda. The beats on Capital Punishment, from RZA, Rockwilder, Domingo, and other A-list maestros, are grimy, radio- friendly, yet low-ley cutting-edge, affirming its status as an undisputed classic. Big Pun was as much a visionary — conceptualizing every song — as a consummate pro in the booth. Citing Picasso and Baby Jesus while purporting to “twist your temples into pretzels,” Pun made Minute Rice out of multi-syllables. There’s no way to describe Pun’s febrile liberties with the king’s English. He doesn’t really breathe; when he does, it’s a sharp gasp for air that almost mimics his Ginsu-like wordplay. Originally released in 2012 following unprecedented changes in the music industry, Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color found Brother Ali reborn and rejuvenated. Tommy Boy Reissues exclusive limited edition pressing of Capone-N-Noreaga's "The War Report" on October 22, 2021 as part of Tommy Boy's 40th anniversary Hailing from Queens, New York, Capone and Noreaga first met while both serving time in prison. Upon their release, the duo hit the studio, concocting their debut album, "The War Report, " and launching Capone-N-Noreaga in 1997. (Top of New York), " "Closer, " and "Illegal Life, " "The War Report" has since been certified Gold by the RIAA and continues to garner spins on radio stations around the globe. Thanks to N. O. R. E. 's unorthodox lyrical delivery and Capone's streetwise slang and Five Percenter references, Capone-N-Noreaga brought new life into the Gangsta Rap subgenre, becoming an instant underground phenomenon, and making them both a household name within the hardcore Hip Hop community. Topping out at #21 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop albums chart, "The War Report, " continues to prove itself as a must have amongst record collectors. "Cappadonna is one of the original members of Wu-Tang Clan absent from their debut album Enter The Wu-Tang
(36 Chambers) due to being locked up at the time of recording. Three years later he would get his chance to shine
on Ghostface's debut Ironman. In 1997 Cappadonna was prominently featured on Wu-Tang's second album
Wu-Tang Forever. The following year the spotlight was on Cappadonna for the release of his debut album The
Pillage. With production overseen by the RZA and Wu producers True Mathematics, True Master and Goldfinghaz,
The Pillage dropped on March 24th, 1998 and was certified Gold one month later. From the classic opening
track ""Slang Editorial"" reporting on the streets to the closing track ""Black Boy"" where Cappadonna spits lyrics
about being a free man and rejoining the Wu, The Pillage is another classic Wu solo debut.
