Dust & Dope Recordings has discovered that they actually recorded a complete, unreleased album that's never been heard until now. Each track has been carefully remastered from the DAT transfers and original demo reels that producer DJ Cassanova has preserved in his archives for well over three decades, which we now present in two collectible limited edition formats.

Dos Atomos is the groups first full-length album since their debut "Dos City" (2019) and marks their biggest musical turning point. Here they make a bold leap from their signature sample-driven sound and mix everything they loved as children, from rap metal, noise rock and even J-rock, with live instrumentation and help from some guest musicians such as the legendary Otomo Yoshihide. The result is the most explosive project they've done yet. Dos Atomos is also a conceptual piece centered around the sun and nuclear power ~ especially as it relates to the group's strong desire to re-think what it means to be Japanese; a feeling that arose after touring Europe with black midi in 2022. While Japan is a country that has worshiped the sun as one of their main gods (even the national flag is the sun itself), Japan is a country suffering from "artificial sun", bombed with nuclear weapons and suffering from nuclear disaster. Nuclear power has also been a gravitating motif in modern Japanese art and culture, such as with Godzilla, Nausicaä and Takashi Murakami. This album speaks about this ambivalent relation between Japanese people and "the sun".

Dope Folks: "Our 100th release is from Bay Area Legend Saafir!!! Reggie Gibson, better known as Saafir, is an MC, producer and actor from Oakland California and a member of the rap group "Golden State Project" (formerly known as Golden State Warriors) with Ras Kass and Xzibit. Born in Oakland, California, Saafir lived with 2Pac and became a dancer for Digital Underground. Saafir made his recording debut on several cuts on Digital Underground's The Body-Hat Syndrome in 1993, followed by an appearance on Casual's Fear Itself in early 1994. He appeared in the film Menace II Society as Harold Lawson, and was featured on the film's soundtrack. With a deal from Qwest Records, Saafir recruited the Hobo Junction production team (J Groove, J.Z., Rational, Big Nose, and Poke Martian) for his debut, Boxcar Sessions (1994). Saafir is an Underground legend known for his abstract style.

We are happy to bring together unreleased tracks from the Boxcar Sessions, and a few more rare cuts from Saafir'S vaults to make up the Saafir "boxcar Sessions Demo" LP!!!

Broadway Junction is one of main transfer stations on the MTA Subway and Elevated train lines in East New York and the borough of Brooklyn. It’s where different train lines connect Brooklyn to the world. Like Broadway Junction, Subway Hip Hop Records brings together four of the best Brooklyn MCs for this limited vinyl EP:

Finsta - of "Finsta Bundy" fame- is one of the originators of the independent grimy New York boom bap 90's sound. On this EP he collaborates with DJ Direk (from Chicago) and brings the Timberland-wearing, hoodie-down ruggedness you've come to expect.

Shabaam Sahdeeq - of "Polyrhythm Addicts" fame- is another pioneer of that Brooklyn Golden Era sound. His expansive catalog of solo releases, group collaborations, and features cements his reputation as lyrical virtuouso. His contribution on this project, along with DJ Direk (from Chicago), reminds us of what makes him a legendary MC.

Napoleon Da Legend - Unquestionably, Brooklyn’s hardest working MC, with more releases, especially on vinyl, than anyone else in the last five plus years. Don't get it twisted, his output is 100% unadulterated skills, no filler. With DJ Tren (from France) on the beats, Napoleon's solo contribution is an unrelenting torrent of golden bars; he's truly in a class of his own here. On "Knife Play" he collaborates with Nejma Nefertiti over production from TherapyBeats (from Chicago) and demonstrates what happens when talented MCs go bar for bar -- Steel Sharpens Steel.

Nejma Nefertiti - The Queen from Brooklyn. Her hunger and fierce word play embarrasses Rolling Stone's Top 100 Rappers. Representing New Jersey to the fullest, Miilkbone stepped to the scene in 1994 with the piano-driven single "Keep It Real", followed by the full-length debut release "Da Miilkrate" in 1995.

In the ghetto landscapes of the Delaney projects in his hometown of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, hip hop became the soundtrack of Miilkbone's life. As b-boy kids bounced their ill pills with the mad swagger of basketball macks, the boo-boom of Rakim and Kool G Rap inspired the moods, grooves and attitudes of a new generation of rhyme slayers.

“Avada Kedavra Deluxe,” by Seattle rapper AJ Suede, is a 21-track, self-produced, self-referencing, double-vinyl labyrinth of experimental boom-bap. Building on a signature style that Spin magazine describes as “stream-of-consciousness rhymes, containing everything from socio-political commentary and blunted cinematic allusions to psychedelic visions,” Suede’s creation is as compelling as it is unclassifiable. On the first LP, Suede demonstrates his substantial skills as a beatmaker and rapper, chopping up what Seattle’s Kexp calls “the smoothest, jazziest, weirdest samples” and overlaying parkour bars about Grunge, success, and social justice. From the first cut, “Nebuchadnezzar,” which New York’s Major Stage describes as a “powerful chant-like hypnotic loop,” these 10 tracks capture an elusive mood of too many hours inside watching YouTube and trying to piece together fractured connections. The album’s title is derived from an Aramaic spell: “Let this thing be destroyed.” On the second LP, Suede invites 13 guests to “destroy” the original songs. Seattle rappers Astral Trap, Blake Anthony, Mika’il, and Greg Cypher are featured on a bonus “posse” cut. With “Avada Kedavra Deluxe,” AJ Suede has tapped into the moment, using what Deeply Rooted Hip-Hop calls “a subconscious steeped in the mystical.” As Kexp says: “Quite predictably, the whole album bangs.”
