He has worked with and produced for a variety of fellow iconic artists such as Bob Marley, Beastie Boys and The Clash and was sampled by Kanye West for his production for Jay-Z’s “Lucifer.” He has been named by Paul McCartney as one of his greatest inspirations and included on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 100 most important musicians of all time. At the young-age of 83 years old, he still tours and headlines shows and festivals all over the planet.

Although Lee Scratch Perry began making music over fifty-years before Mr. Green, he maintains that Green is one of his inspirations and even may have helped launch his career, presumably through time travel, portals and Open Doors. "Are you ready out there for me? I'm ready for you... Mr. Green, opens all the doors in the United States of America for me, so listen to our new project and the open door.”

All Day is the fifth studio album by American musician Gregg Gillis, known by his stage name Girl Talk. The album was originally released as a free digital download by Illegal Art on November 15, 2010. Gillis composed the album using overlapping samples of 372 songs by other artists. All Day was released as one seamless 71-minute file and as 12 separate tracks, available in MP3 and Flac. As with prior Girl Talk albums, All Day was "intended to be listened to as a whole," but was "broken up into individual tracks only for easier navigation."

Following the release of his Running Wild album, Grieves let loose a flurry of new music, surprising and delighting fans with fresh new singles each week. He was able to express his growth and hunger in this new work, as the content and production ranged from light-hearted and jazzy to intense and introspective. The collective has completed many tours together, and its debut album Escape From New York comes across as a collection of high level cyphers from Joey Bada$$, Nyck Caution, Kirk Knight, CJ Fly, Flatbush Zombies & more. Not surprising as the Brooklyn natives, a lot of them friends since childhood, have never shied away from the lyrics-centered tradition of New York hip-hop.

With his friendly and sometimes melancholic manner, DJ Koze is one of the most remarkable players in today's club landscape and one of the few internationally active DJs who are also relevant outside of dance music. For his 70-minute journey for the anniversary edition of the "DJ Kicks" series, "Kosi Kos" manages to give the mix its own timbre despite the various styles represented: be it the pared-down hip-hop of Madlib, brutal Berghain techno, timeless songwriting, flowing indie pop and tracks that oscillate between absurdity and melancholy. "I didn't want to shine with knowledge," Koze says, "but rather bring together some gems that make sense to people who aren't necessarily music nerds." It should fit together harmoniously: "The idea was to create the impression of a radio show, like John Peel used to do. A huge cosmos of music rushing through my filter." SMK aka South Memphis King is one of the real godfathers of Memphis rap. He released his first album in 1991 and is still active today.
