Fresh Air is the result of cooperation between rapper Belmondawg, producer Expo 2000 and the legendary jazzman Michał Urbaniak.

The single was produced by Expo 2000 using a 12-bit sampler based on samples from the song "A Day In The Park" from 1978, and solos on soprano saxophone recorded especially for this purpose by Michal Urbaniak. The single is maintained in a positive style of jazzy hip-hop.

The remix was prepared by DJ Eprom - the legend of the turntablism scene, multiple champion of international DJ competitions.

The cover and the animated music video for the single was prepared by Paweł Mildner - a valued illustrator, graphic designer, author of posters, picture books and covers.

Open Mike Eagle returned to Chicago on January 25, 2019 to participate in a Closed Session documentary and recording session with Closed Sessions' in-house producer, BoatHouse. It was a homecoming of sorts for Eagle. He grew up and cut his teeth in Chicago's underground Hip Hop scene, yet moved away and achieved musical success in Los Angeles. His return visit featured a sold-out show at the Empty Bottle and this recording session, that also felt like home. "It just reminded me of the rapping I came up doing in Chicago," he said in the accompanying documentary. Crane City Music is proud to release Bobby Ro$$ from accomplished Seattle rapper and visual artist Perry Porter. His first full-length, Bobby Ro$$ is a vibe-heavy hustle through the landscape of art, blackness, and self-love. On it, he inhabits the alter ego of Bobby Ro$$, the trap music avatar of the much-loved PBS painter, Porter uses snippets of interviews with cultural luminaries such as Kara Walker, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Maya Angelou as a narrative lattice to paint himself into the canon of black art.

Originally from Tacoma, Washington—by way of rural Spanaway—Porter grew up playing drums and rapping over his own beats. His first foray into hip-hop was as half of buzzy local duo Sleep Steady, who received much acclaim in the Pacific Northwest and placed two songs in major video game titles (EA Sports UFC 2 and Cyberpunk 2077). He has since released several solo mixtapes, including 2018’s critically-acclaimed Channel Surfing mixtape.

As a visual artist, Porter’s dreamlike watercolor portraits and lush murals have been shown in galleries across the country. His notable collectors include several NFL Seahawks players. He incorporates live painting into his performances and is currently planning a 30-city pop-up painting tour of record stores for Spring 2020.

Bobby Ro$$ is the seventh record in the Crane City Music collection, a library of the hottest recent hip-hop albums from the Pacific Northwest on wax. The record assembles a wide variety of Seattle- and Tacoma-area talent, including producers Chong The Nomad, Jamie Blake, and Khris P, alongside rappers Blake Anthony, Romaro Franceswa, and Jarv Dee. The Crane City “Black Excellence” edition of Bobby Ro$$ is limited to 250 copies on black vinyl and features a cover designed by visual artist Izzy Vibes and liner notes by music journalist Martin Douglas.

Perry Porter has opened for national touring artists such as Joey Badass, SuperDuperKyle, and The Flavr Blue, and performed to sold-out crowds at 2019’s Capitol Hill Block Party music festival.

Milla Thyme is a rapper, bassist and producer based in Montreal, Canada. His music is a blend of hip-hop, soul and jazz drawing from the foundations set before him, while creating a fresh new sound. As a socially-conscious rapper and proficient musician, Milla Thyme has earned critical praise among his peers, nationally and abroad. Originally from Toronto, Milla moved to Montreal to pursue music where he got experience composing, arranging and perfecting his skills on the bass. In 2016, he released his EP Eternally the Student and is now set to release his debut full-length album titled Everything Has Its Thyme, via record label Urbnet. Co-produced by Milla and also mixed by Chris Vincent, (Urban Science Brass Band, Busty and The Bass), the twelve track record features Milla’s long time backing band who plays with artists like Dominique Fils-Aimé, Shay Lia, Kallitechnis and Les Louanges. It also features collaborations with Montreal artists Clerel, Anomalie, Wayne Tennant, Myrtle Thomas and Cloves.

Fredfades is a Norwegian producer specialising in the uncut RAW hip hop. Here’s his debut solo album, “Warmth”.

In 2013 he dropped a classic with Ivan Ave called Breathe on KingUnderground Records. "Warmth" is his debut solo album following a long line of singles, collaborative albums, cassettes and load of independently released projects. The album has 16 tracks made from jazz, soul and boogie samples with gritty drums and a dash of synth stabs, mixed by Fred and mastered at Strype Audio in Oslo by Christian Obermayer.

The title track "Warmth" is the last track on the album and was sampled from a live recording off one of Fred’s favourite
jazz records that is always on heavy rotation at the crib.
