This 33rd such outing comes from Per Hammer who offers a trio of irresistible grooves. 'Everybody_hz' kicks off with rubbery drums and bass intertwining with each other while wonky synths up top add some tripped-out feels. A Varhat adds a little extra bounce and urgency to this silky late-night hypnotiser and then it's back to Hammer for 'The Danish Url'. It's a hooky groove with warped pads rippling up top while closer 'Arkivo' is a more textural and abstract affair with a nice dubby undercurrent.

Long overdue, we are happy to welcome Damiano von Erckert to Cocoon Recordings with his debut single, bringing late summer vibes that were well worth the wait. Damiano's lovely energy shines through in this EP, resulting in music that blends soulful character with his signature house sound.

“Steam (Staub Mix)” lifts your spirits from the very first beat, and the summery vibe of the housey Rhodes piano brings a smile to your face. No Signal records is proud to introduce for the 10th release of the label one of the most important producer of all time: Jamie Bissmire. His productions have been central part of the scene through the 90s and the last decades. The UK legend spread the proper techno and electronic vibe with his solo moniker and in collaborations projects like Bandulu and Space DJz satisfying any kind of enthusiastic. The EP starts with the ambient skit "Subteranium", subtle synths and textures combined with a smooth-alternate basslines keep the listener moody and tense for an unexpected start. In Temporal Mst open up the dances. Slightly distorted 4/4 beat track, jam-packed in No Signal style, plucked arps well arranged for an elegant swing. Lore & Order is the match up to lead the dancefoors and listeners into more gloomy and wicked mood. Different sequenced synths wrap the drum groove for an hypnotic, yet enchanting and dreamy moving session. The Tapestry of Fate is definitely a massive Jamie Bissmire's signature track. Total ensemble of Ground Recordings releases, wicked patterns, dark mood and relentless pressure. Dancefloors will go mad for it. Born out of debut collaboration between Den Haag’s Jeans and Florence’s Tomo from DE RIO, the EP is a massive merge of like-minded brains in a sonic dialogue, re-shaking the otherworld of techno music. An exhilarated heartbeat amidst industrial cries, shrieks, and squeals is levitated by fat hypnotic synth lines, while the rudimentary “chuckles” over the fate of the progressive, amplifying towards infinity in a symphonic and rhythmic celebration. The “Spectral Pattern” unveils the mystic force behind dragging and pulling the Hertz of the wavelength cycle, reflecting the emitted energy from the hardware core. We are turning around in vertigo, trying to capture “Gengar” bouncing across space, catching the liquid multiples of themselves. We are approaching the smoky clouds around “Acondrite-ung”, the unclimbable mountain that samarium creatures obsessively climb in hypnosis, never destined to reach the peak.

‘Zerinjit’ is a tale of the otherworld, its creatures, patterns, rhythms, saints, and martyrs, science and utopia, translated into a dance floor body language of the ordinary.

Stockholm repper Patrik Eriksson is a proponent for deep and loopy techno, under his Dold moniker the DJ/producer delivers all manner of introverted compositions, moments designed for home and club that resonate with an evocative and redoubtable simplicity. His catalogue of releases on co-run label Arsenik are an ongoing dialogue with live partner Kuf and a selection of well-known peers, stripped down techno that conveys a cogent message with its straight talking approach.

The Revival Recordings (bas 014) is another vinyl feather in Dold's cap, a five track release that takes the relay from his developing opus and sprints assuredly on. A1 Work Me pairs mercurial hi-hats with subaquatic squeaks, while its successor keeps tempo and switches its leitmotif for hollow, metallic repetitions. The temperature rises with Solid Solitude, the A3 banger that's likely to make its way into many a closing set towards the end of summer. The B side takes a darker turn with Insight (b1), a slower, more philosophical entry suggestive of breezy Scandinavian nights. B2 points its arrow in another direction still, more urban, more clubfloor, shuffling acid beats that tie the record and Dold's many-faceted influences together in a neat package. There's a bit of everything here, and a hint at both Dold's capacity as a producer and what might be yet to come. A promise of compelling techno from the north that's sure to put his star on the rise.

The first in the series brought together six musicians from far and wide, musicians who journey through the colder edge of their analogue instruments with a clear ear for the floor. Ses2 starts where its predecessor left off. The genre bending Ian Martin opens with the frigid funk of "Metaphysical Travellers." Stripped back, the track is bare in terms of its elements. Despite such meagre ingredients, Martin concocts an engaging and rich work of darkened grooves and sinister undercurrents. o-0._.0-o is the playful pseudonym of acid freetekno enthusiast Owen. His contribution, "Acidrobotik", releases a free and wandering 303 lines that forges a bubbling path through crisp percussion. The flip brings an artist better known for his work in techno. Cliche Morph delves into the clinical side of his palette and emerges with the stunning "Placebo." Balancing alienated and arctic blasts with a thawing warmth, the outcome is pure classic electro. A rising star of machine music follows, Fleck E.S.C. A dirty bassline is further sullied by layers of gritty distortion and glitched vocals in this re-wired work of ghetto. A legend of electronics closes, Kirill Junolainen. Under his lauded Konerytmi moniker, this synthesiser shapeshifter delivers "Kuva Alkio." Stuttering bass and tight drums are the foundation from which sci-fi inspirations take hold, sailing strings tethered by a terse snare as Ses2 is brought to a triumphal close.

Following on from records from Harba, Jurango and Laksa, the ep stays true to the imprint's exploration of emotive high-tempo club records which marry the character and energy of the hardcore continuum with technical precision and slick sound design. With her distinguished alien vocal chops it’s proper ‘get IN UR Hed’ business. The title is a nod to the dissociative state we can find ourselves in as a result of trauma, and how creativity/music is able to illustrate emotions that words cannot. Sonically the ep is continuation of the bass-driven, vocal-led 140-150bpm territory explored on her Timedance and Ilian Tape records, this time more explicitly drawing on inspiration from electro, drill and jungle in the dynamic drum programming, growling 808 bass and icy snares that feature across the 3 tracks.

This EP distinguishes itself especially for its step towards a slightly slower more atmospheric sound than the conventional Network 23 material. Simon aka Crystal Distortion, the artist responsible for the 3 tracks on this release exhibits a new pallet of sonic references which in relation to earlier material give a sense of maturation to the scene's zeitgeist. A1 almost sounds like it was pressed at the wrong speed with a slight laziness to its beat allowing it a remarkable feeling of holographic spatiality. A2 comes in at a more expected Spiral Tribe tempo, but with a more refined modality, employing sounds very reminiscent of Detroit Techno around that time. B side also merges into more digestible aesthetic in comparison to earlier material, deep sea dubby sounds juxtaposed with crunchy snares and hi hat ricochets. Another piece of the freetekno history puzzle brought back to record stores at affordable prices. Remastered at Manmade mastering in Berlin.

Following up on last years debut release, Chontane returns with Manx, the second EP on his label, TANE. This five-track collection continues his exploration of sound design, moving into fresh territory while retaining the distinctive energy that marked TANE001.

With TANE002, Chontane invites listeners into a diverse sonic landscape, emphasizing mood, texture, and the subtle intricacies of rhythm.
Manx marks a significant progression in Chontanes artistry, expanding on the
foundation set by TANE001, which echoed the nostalgia of 90s and early 2000s rave culture. While his first EP blended old-school, rave-inspired techno, atmospheric tracks, and a touch of jungle, TANE002 boldly ventures into new, uncharted territories. It challenges traditional genre boundaries, delving deep into the potential of sound design, and offering a forward-thinking perspective that feels attuned to the future.

The EP highlights Chontanes dedication to capturing a wide spectrum of moods and textures within a single record. The title track, Manx sets the stage with a dark, hypnotic presence. Rich in layered textures and atmospheric undertones, the track fuses a powerful kick with resonant toms, deep subs, and eerie pads. Haunting, glitchy vocal snippets add an extra dimension, making Manx a compelling, immersive experience.

On Gazebo, the EPs A2 track, Chontane shifts the energy, delivering a composition that balances driving rhythms with a melodic core. The B-side leans into a more shadowy atmosphere, with Oolean blending metallic
