In a career that spans two decades, Terence Fixmer reached worldwide recognition with the release of his debut album Muscle Machine on DJ Hell's seminal International Deejay Gigolos imprint in 1999. The album opened a whole new genre by combining Electro, Industrial, EBM and Techno into a more dance floor-focused EBM style, simply called ‘Techno Body Music'. The French producer and live act has consistently explored and redefined the boundaries of modern Techno –and he is not slowing down. Astral Dust is a 4 song excursion bridging the styles of Derek Michael and Marshall Applewhite. This project stems from a live recording of a set performed by Michael in 2002. After being tucked away for almost 15 years, the recording was found and sent to Applewhite who dissected the performance into fragments and breathed a new life into them. While some portions of this release are distinctly sludgy, the majority is a perfect amalgamation of both Michaels and Applewhites hard-edge, melodic borderline IDM styles. The digital release will feature 2 digital only sub cuts from the sessions.

UK producer Allen Saei aka Aubrey is no stranger to Burek family, having already remixed Information Ghetto's "Inspiration" track for Burek in 2013 and DJ Stingray's "Communication System" track released on Barba in 2015. As is to be expected from a guy who's been spending time in the studio for better part of the last three decades, on 13th Barba release Aubrey delivers a mature and consistent space-themed club 12" titled "Space Funk". Although pretty self-referential as a whole, each track on the 12" offers a different take on the topic. "Clock Funk" and "Space Jazz" are quite direct and peak time, "Spaceship Blues" is a chunky funk workout and "Path To Nowhere" is somewhat deeper introspective piece. Common thread moving through all four cuts is an infectious groove intertwined with synth lines that would not be misplaced amongst the best examples of space-influenced techno music firmly grounded on the floor but with eyes on the future. All that, pressed onto a heavy duty 180 gram vinyl and beautifully packaged in an original artwork by local artist EmaEmaEma.

Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 2 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!! -- For Tin Man, acid endures. Like the lapping of a sizzling ocean on the shores of a distant planet, the peaks and troughs of expansive 303 basslines have been a constant in the music of the producer born Johannes Auvinen. He dedicated his mid-2000s early period to the sound, and even as his productions have expanded in scope and style - from the vocaltinged techno of Cool Wave, Wasteland and Perfume, to the intricate, classical-leaning compositions of Vienna Blue - he has returned often to Roland's indelible bass synthesizer. His plaintive, searing melodies have anchored Absurd Recordings' venerable Acid Test series since its first release, and they've punched through the mix in the club music of recent collaborations with Gunnar Haslam (Romans), with Cassegrain, and also with John Tejada. So it wouldn't be accurate to call Tin Man's latest project, Dripping Acid, a rededication. Yet his most ambitious project to date - six 12"s comprised only of new acid compositions - embraces the style as wholeheartedly as he ever has. While the brittle machine-music of '80s Chicago is the blueprint of any acid track, Dripping Acid refrains from revivalism, instead looking forward and inward as it harnesses the 303's psychedelic potential through sumptuous production and adventurous composition. Though it's focused on a single style, Dripping Acid is tremendously diverse, expanding upon the evocative physicality of its track titles ("Evaporated Acid," "Drenched Acid," "Oozing Acid") to rend dancefloors of all shapes and sizes. Tin Man's acid can be exuberant and coy, bleak and technicolor, maximalist and impressionistic, even completely unrecognizable as acid - but as Auvinen stretches the sound to the point of snapping, he shows there's still bend in a decades-old template, and plenty more alien waves to ride.

“Fleischberg” is the 2nd vinyl iteration of Berlin’s body focused Fleisch collective, following hot on the heels of last year’s highly acclaimed release by Schwefelgelb. This 12” starts with a relentless six and a half minute assault by Australian native and Berlin based Halv Drøm, a fitting vinyl debut for the talented producer. DSX follows up with a finely tuned EBM track tactfully layered with obscure vocal samples and paired with piercing, frenetic drum programming. The B side starts with a slightly different approach, recalling a more classic techno and electro tone without losing sight of the release’s progressive focus; Privacy’s catchy “Work” recalls late 80s Chicago masterpieces without becoming overly nostalgic. Talking about confidns, it is impossible not to mention the rumors and legends surrounding their 2016 residency
during the Afterlife label nights, hosted by Tale Of Us every thursday at famed Space Club Ibiza. The two Berlin based
long term friends, who grew up in Mannheim, Germany attracted attention with their super long dj-sets, lasting up to
8 hours.
Performing the warm up on the Space Club’s sunset terrace and closings in the chamber, the duo, founded in 2015,
proofed a mesmerizing sense for playing with the crowd. They mastered the artistic challenge of leading the audience
through the night, with both spherical ambient sets and driving techno beats. Confidns does not shy away from mixing
timeless classics from genres like ebm, synth pop, dub and industrial techno with unforgettable pieces/tracks, such as
from boards of Canada and Tropic of Cancer in their ambient sets. One could already experience the two daredevils in
clubs like Nordstern Basel, Labyrinth Club Hasselt, Egg Club London and Loft Club Ludwigshafen, where they played
two sets of 7 hours alongside Chris Liebing and Dj Deep during the official Time Warp 2017 pre-party.
Driven by the high artistic and musical standard of Tale of Us’ Afterlife label, the two artists behind confidns founded

Clergy returns for its 9th instalment with a club ready EP of serious weapons from label mainstay, and one half of Works Unit, Reflec. The four track release opens with 'Acid Response', in which Reflec has combined a tough rhythm section with a growling 303 to create a high energy roller guaranteed to keep the dance floor moving. Continuing on this trend of heavy hitting rollers, 'Osmosis' is a drum track through and through, which incorporates dark and sweeping atmospherics into the groove true to Reflec's form.

The B side see's host to 'Canyon', a peak time Clergy anthem with heavy, driving drums complimented with a spacey and emotional pad on the breakdown. Clergy 009 is rounded off by a broken edit of 'Canyon' which exchanges the driving kicks for a fragmented rhythmic style, a nod to the UK roots of Reflec's musical style.

Doorly's Reptile Dysfunction continues to prove itself to be one of the most vibrant and singular labels around, this time tapping up legendary producer Jaydee for its latest release.

Jaydee is a dance music pioneer. Best know for the seminal 'Plastic Dreams' - a track that, somewhat terrifyingly for those who remember it the first time around, will be celebrating its 25 th anniversary next year - he has continued to be a leading light in innovative house and techno productions, releasing on R&S and Ellum Audio in the last few years.

Here, he teams up with fellow dance music visionary Doorly for a searingly brilliant release on the latter's Reptile Dysfunction imprint. 'Acid Pressure EP' presents two original cuts from Jaydee, with supporting remixed from Doorly and Trooko.

Kicking things off, 'Back Into Acid' opens with stunningly heartfelt pads before building to a killer acid line via shimmering percussion and erotically charged vocal snatches. 'Bring The Pressure' is more direct: a house roller softened by Basic Channel-esque chords and with added rhythm courtesy of the accompanying ragga
chants.

On the remix front, Doorly flips 'Back Into Acid' into something far more menacing, with fierce synths stabs and rolling drums creating a head down stomper, while Trooko chops 'Back Into Pressure' into pieces, crafting a thumping main room house cut from the constituent parts, complete with an epic, piano-led breakdown.

Hearing her unique way of vocalising on favourite tracks of mine from back in the day (like Tenaglia’s ‘98 single ‘Read My Lips’ for example), I just felt I had to reach out to her. Creating ‘Right Behind You’ was a labour of love and we spent months working on it until we finally got to the definitive version.
