Wang inc. developed this 12” focusing on the stories of the past years taking place in the
central Mediterranean Sea. Stories of hope and despair, often tragic by the will of
powerful and egoistic people.

Each track describes a fase of the crossing of the Sicilian channel: Fuga is the escape from the Libyan prisons, Gommone is the crossing on an inﬂatable raft that often ﬁnds a tragic epilogue, Approdo is the battle between humanitarian aids and governments to ﬁnd a place of safe, Abbraccio is the tragic history of mother and son found at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea still hugging each other.
It’s harsh techno, slow, with vivid images, lot’s of tension and bleak atmospheres. All titles are in Italian because this story is part of the history of Italy.

A1 kicks off with vintage Sci-fi mind exploration samples and quickly evolves into a pulsating and accelerated acid trance rumpus, with the sample weaving its way around the tracks main goan filtered synths and throbbing bass, for a perfect, reflective end of night closer.

He has also fostered collaborations, among which stands out his project Oscean alongside Andres Zacco, a project that was recently released on the legendary Berlin label Tresor. In his new album "Septimo Sentido", Seph exhibits superlative production skills and masterfully showcases the widest palette of the braindance sound, that intersection where countless genres and sub-styles can coexist. Here we hear echoes from the mid-90s that revive undeniable references of early IDM; but with a renewed form, under a fiercely contemporary new skin. Razor sharp poly-rhythmic structures keep the track interesting while intense percussive workouts provide the power. Title track "Fortnight" delves deeper whilst still remaining true to Sam's direct and tough sound; don't let this deeper side fool you, all the hallmarks of a proper banger remain intact! "Chaos" closes out things with a more groove laden and emotive tone as shuffling percussive elements funk things up before subtle synths work their way in giving the track a more melodic feel than the previous. Echocord revisits Mathimidori’s ‘Akebono’ LP with remixes from Deadbeat, FDF, Rod Modell and Quantec. Late 2020 saw the release of Mathimidori’s ‘Akebono’ on the Echocord imprint, the ten track collection saw the Mathias Kaden alias deliver a number of collaboration and original productions exploring the realms of dub and the guise’s underlying Japanese influences. Here the label revisits the project with an all star cast of remixes in the dub techno world. Stepping up to the plate first is Deadbeat with his ‘Dub’ take on Maiia’, the Montreal based artist shifts focus to tumbling dub echoes, hazy noise sweeps and jittery hi-hats throughout before the ‘fdf Reshape’ of ‘Soso’ lays down a gyrating drum groove atop expansive reggae vocal shots and an ethereal, billowing atmosphere. Deepchord’s Rod Modell deliver his first ‘Version’ of ‘Ork’ next, as expected the pioneering dub techno artist offers up a typically classy interpretation fuelled by hypnotic, chanting voices, the originals fluttering chords and a pulsating low-end drive. Quantec takes on ‘Akari’ next for a refined and reduced offering, laying down minimalistic percussion and subtly nuanced chords before Modell’s ‘Dub’ take on ‘Ork’ completes the release, as the name would suggest adding a more hypnotic and dubbed out aesthetic to things to contrasting his former remix.

Laurent Garnier select new tracks for [QR]V.200.SPK.24 by six COD3 QR favourites Jules Wells, Skatman, Works Of Intent, Squal G, YANNLEAN and Joaquim Plossu.

Following June's "[QR]V.172.TAM.24", featuring tracks by Avision, DJ Deep and Deetron, Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR label is back with another vinyl-only release. This varied 6-pack, coded "[QR]V.200.SPK.24" is comprised of exclusive tracks from members of the extended COD3 QR family: Skatman, Works Of Intent, Yann Lean, and Joaquim Plossu & Salem Focus, alongside Jules Wells' "Dreamer" (released digitally on the label in May) and Squal G's "Waiting 4U" (from April).

Skatman, the Berlin based, Tunisian born DJ, producer and label head of Cognitive Prophecy follows up his huge COD3 QR track "Tribute to a Dancefloor" with the deep, groovy and aptly titled "Transcending House". He has already gained recognition for his approach to electronic music, bridging the gap between classic and contemporary with tracks on Innervisions and Correspondent, becoming one of the most intriguing and captivating artists.

Jules Wells who delivered the infectious "The Clap" on COD3 QR 016 is back with the retro House sound of "Dreamer". Jules Wells is from Bordeaux, France. Strongly influenced by the Motor City, Jules has released on the likes of Submerge, Twilight 76, KMS, Planet E, Brique Rouge and Logos (Macedonia).

Works Of Intent, a core member of the UK South Asian collective DAYTIMERS and Emotional Weaponry label owner, has recently released an acclaimed guest mix for the legendary John Digweed's Transitions radio show. Known for his ability to blend emotive storytelling with rhythmic precision, he follows up his "Richer Sound" album (released last year on the label) with the intricate and uncompromising "Subversive".

Producer and manager of the Slates Records label, Squal G is a French artist who has been passionate about electronic music since the early '90s. Initially, he practised his art as a DJ before turning to machines and computers as he progressed with production. Never sticking to a single style, instead, allowing inspiration to lead him, he nevertheless remains in the Techno spirit, as heard on "Waiting 4U".

A multi-faceted composer and DJ, Yann Lean also works as a sound engineer for himself and other artists. Whether working as a duo with Madben and their side project Trunkline or as a solo artist, he has won the trust and support of prestigious labels such as KMS, Bedrock, Planet Rhythm, Skryptom and Materia, as well as COD3 QR who released "Hope" in 2020. Now he's back with tribal drums on "To Get Close".

French born, Mexican resident Joaquim Plossu has been making music as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer for the past 20 years with releases on COD3 QR, 31 Recordings, Fokuz, Repertoire, Deep Heads, Planet Rhythm and more. Both music composer and producer for TV and films, as well as Drum & Bass producer in his spare time, he teams up again with Leeds (UK) based Salem Focus (Fokuz Records / Soulvent / Galacy) for some energetic D&B on closing track "Cosmic".

Lastly title track ‘Red House’ rounds out the release, further capturing the essence of Reboot’s hallmark style via intertwined sample chops, pulsating subs and skippy percussion, all of which are intricately processed and automated to create a dynamic dance floor workout.

After new releases by Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell in April and Vinicius Honorio in May, James Ruskin welcomes back Kr!z with his third EP for Blueprint.

Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound helmed by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad and James Ruskin, he gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene. After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ in home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. It has since been a leading outlet for heady, purist sounds. He rapidly established the label as a fixed value with a timeless and powerful sound and took it around the world with label nights on every continent.

After 12 years spent assiduously focused on curating the Token discography, showcasing artists he has nurtured and supported over this time, 2019 saw the release of his long awaited debut EP on Token. "Mantra" received high acclaim by both media and the scene's key DJs. This continued in 2020, when he released the track "Scorpion's Tail" on Voltage Imprint and "Malice" & "Imperative Needs" as part of a split EP with Pfirter on his MindTrip label. 2022 was his most prolific year to date with three full EPs seeing the light of day: "Neutrino EP" on James Ruskin's Blueprint Records, "The Tunnel" on Setaoc Mass' SK_eleven and "Atlantis" on his Token. In 2023 he released a follow up on Blueprint "Revelation", a split EP with Steve Rachmad on Reclaim Your City and "Marbles" on Token.

Now, the Belgian DJ and producer returns to Blueprint with a new 4-tracker this summer, entitled "Horo EP".

This special, sixth release on Neotropiq brings together four artists from the DJ collective that has grown from the booth of the label’s secretive and sought-out parties in South London. The “Treefrog Army EP” features solo tracks by the label’s founder, Silverlining, alongside Neotropiq residents, Trixie, Oliver Moon, and South London legend, Tom Gillieron.

What is Neotropiq? The neotropical realm is the bioregion that provides the lungs of the planet and is home to the highest concentration of biodiversity and unique species anywhere, many of which are endangered. The label’s emblem, the treefrog, celebrates individuality and nature whilst recognising the need to protect both. Therefore, Neotropiq can be defined as a multi-background, gender-balanced, and cross-generational collective of DJs, producers, and music lovers. Just as we might see a caravan of camels and a shoal of piranhas, the collective makes up the beautiful army of treefrogs that is Neotropiq.

The “Treefrog Army EP”, therefore, marks out distinguished yet complementary atmospheres that wander between several shades of electronic dance. As if each were telling their own distinct tale, this body of work flows like a late-night conversation between four good friends. With all tracks mixed or pre-mastered at Silverlining’s recently built North Wood Cabin Studio, this family excursion represents each artist’s individual sonic palette and groove while perfectly complementing the others.

Silverlining’s opening track, “Murine Illusions”, is a powerful, peak-time, West-Coast-inspired acid house workout cruising on an irresistible, rumbling bass arrangement and nostalgic vocal samples. Next up is Trixie, whose “Handshake” is a simmering and hypnotic encounter, with glitchy broken drums and whirring, otherworldly synths that animate another life around the body of the track.

On the B-side, Oliver Moon doesn’t hold back with the dynamite “What You Want” where icy Tr-707 drums brush by as you find yourself caught in an elasticated groove that's full of surprises. Mysterious vocals by Moon himself are laced throughout, creating a sense of curiosity on the dance-floor. Last but not least are the chunky Motor City-infused vibrations of Tom Gillieron’s “Orange Clouds”. Subaqueous pads create a mesmerising dreamworld and combine with crisp drums for the hazy hours of the morning.

This four-tracker offers a breath of fresh, forest air from the Neotropiq crew who break genre conventions while sharing a love for warm aesthetics. Outside of production, the crew also shares a love for vinyl digging, and in the booth, they each deliver their own unique energy. The all-encompassing collective is not only united by music, but also use their unified voice to speak up about injustice and imbalances around the world.
