Mid October welcomes the return of Amsterdam’s Easttown to Cécille with a fresh five- tracker entitled the ‘Timeless’ EP. Dutch producer and DJ Easttown has been rapidly gaining recognition in the house music scene with his signature blend of sample-rich, disco-infused house. His tracks have been featured on renowned labels like Franky Rizardo’s LTF Records, Folamour’s House Of Love, and most notably Cécille, where he made a splash in April this year with his “Chaos” EP. The release garnered widespread acclaim and heavy rotation from top-tier artists such as Marco Carola, Fleur Shore, Franky Rizardo, Pawsa, and Dennis Cruz. With such a strong debut, there’s every reason to keep an eye out for the follow-up to his most successful release to date. Title-cut ‘Timeless’ leads with an amalgamation of swirling, intertwined synth lines, chuggy bass tones, sweeping filters and breathy vocals running atop a bouncy organic drum groove. ‘Phunky’ follows and as the name would suggest infuses a funk energy via to a snaking bass groove, intricate congas and choppy guitar hits. Ilian Tape is back with a new entry into their ITX Series and as always it comes with four interesting but unhelpful keywords from the Munich crew themselves: Mind-expanding Spaceship Customer Support. The music sure is cosmic and mind-expanding from Struciton, who opens with the thrilling breakbeats of 'Just' which are wired up with fizzing synths and whirring machine noises. 'Flip' then gets busy with a nimble rhythm and bright, pixelated synth sequences and spangled percussion. Arguably one of Get Physical’s most influential tracks, ‘O Superman’ sees a new release with remixes from Man Power and SIS alongside the 2008 version from Robag Whrume and a remaster of the now classic original.

Man Power kicks off the new interpretations with an epic, ten and half minute version that patiently stretches the original’s melodies into pads and held bass tones across crisp, micro-house styled beats before unleashing loose, clattering breakbeats after a striking, extended breakdown. The standout track, "Interplay", is an instant classic. Lyrics are distant, words ring, “Distant shadows," as snapping snares and warming pulses pull the listener closer drawing you deeper into its hypnotic world. Across the four offerings, a brooding dance floor looms; a shadowy square of bodies shrouded in fog, pierced by strobe. Since first performing together in 2017, Ciel and CCL have spent years bonding over music, idiosyncratic cinema, and sampling as an art form. After watching the cult-classic movie “Technolust” – in which Tilda Swinton plays four different roles in the same film – Ciel and CCL viewed the role of the "genre-fluid" DJ/producer/multi-hyphenate in contemporary dance music in a similar absurdist light. On Tilda’s Goat Stare, the duo sought to create a record that straddles their love of cinematic immersiveness in dubstep, bass music, and deeper shades of prog with the tongue-and-cheek-sassy flair they’re both known for. R&D methods, rhythmanalytically applied, dissect the aftermath of an industrial society that burst through the ecological capacity of Spaceship Earth. Fractal visions of war and innovation spike and recede from and into the surfaces of reality being bent and guiding the eyes, ears, touch towards a laboratory in the year 1961. A nuclear expert, Don Lewis, receives orders to decrypt the mysterious black dodecagonal disc known as Fortec and the extraterrestrial biology unearthed in Roswell. He joins a team disassembling Fortec and studying the recurrent dodecahedral patterns linked to the human nervous system.
Through dismantling and probing, the team cycles through a saecular search devoid of finite conclusions, limited by Earth’s intellectual and technological prowess. One 1960s night, Lewis, while meddling with Fortec’s cyborganic innards, accidentally electrifies himself. His cyclotron and missile experience guides him to circuit-bend Fortec, stirring the entity from a mechanical slumber. Lewis and Fortec communicate in resonances, until it drifts back into a tranquil stasis.
The US Defense and contractors, unbeknownst to them, observe this breakthrough. They later permit Lewis to exit military service as the Air Force forms the Foreign Technology Division. Concurrently, MJ12 evolves into CY12, delving into second-order cybernetics. Lewis clandestinely keeps working on Fortec fragments, transitioning from military engineer to musician, pioneering the LEO module, a fusion of Fortec’s essence and audio engineering.
He shares his insights with Roland founder Ikutaro Kakehashi, aiding the creation of the iconic TR-808. Meanwhile, Fortec branches out, coining “Cyberspace” – a collective illusion of liberty unshackled by physical, political, or spiritual bounds, anchored in the equitable distribution of The Golden Ratio across realities. Yet “Cyberspace” morphs into a chaotic truth reservoir, spilling over into deception.

“Artifact” by Novo Line makes a departure from his Atari ST fueled FM synth journeys, here reimagining the soundtrack of our collective memory. Born from a live performance at a listening festival in Berlin by the Camp Cosmic crew, this LP transforms universally recognized pop anthems, beckoning listeners into a kaleidoscopic realm of sound, where familiar melodies fracture and our brains attempt to reconstitute them.

Using era-consistent equipment – turntable, 12″ maxi singles, classic samplers, and iconic drum machines – Novo Line deconstructs and reassembles songs etched into our cultural DNA. From the soaring emotions of “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” to the disco beat of “Heart of Glass,” these are melodies that have scored countless lives, now reborn in startling new forms.

Recorded live to tape, ‘Artifact’ doesn’t just play; it unfolds like an auditory hallucination. It taps into the deep emotional reservoirs these songs have built over decades, twisting familiar refrains into new shapes. One festival goer recollected that it uncovered “the dark inner universe of Kenny G, suddenly splayed out into a whole new cosmos.”

As the needle traces its path, ‘Artifact’ peels back layers of shared musical experience. It’s an aural alchemy that transmutes the known into the profoundly strange, yet achingly familiar. Listeners may find themselves adrift in a sea of frequencies, where every warped note triggers a cascade of personal and collective memories.

Rooted in the “copyriot” tradition of 1980s punk and industrial scenes, “Artifact” challenges notions of authorship while celebrating the universal language of pop. It doesn’t merely suggest a trip – it becomes a journey through the very fabric of our shared musical consciousness.

What would be our endeavour as humans without music you may ask? Well, we wouldn't know since Acoustic Vision has clearly taken care of that task and carefully curated the material to take form, from his imagination, through a lovely selection.

Uplifting vibes layered on top of a pumping baseline make from the first track, the reason you'll find yourself incapable to resist dancing, almost like in a trance you'll organically drift driven by 'Peyote Country Club'. A sense of urgency will install throughout your body once the needle hits 'Human Endeavour', for what exactly is for your spirit to decide, but carried by the tribal feeling the fact is undeniable.

Following through, the air gets more relaxed with 'Every pleasure, every sin'. Even with such relentless percussion the listener will still get a sensation of calm, mainly induced by the dreamlike pads and optimistic keys. Drift, drift away with A.C. and let yourself get carried away. It's always interesting to witness how new and old meet together, and from this perspective, this record changes the mood through the hands of the Italian craftsman, Ivan Iacobucci.

Almost evoking old times, the (almost) final part of the record emits an eerie energy which completes the story for the listener.

Keep an open mind to achieve omnivision.

Admittedly, being able to embrace someone back into your life, when they seem to have never left might be a little strange - but that’s exactly how it feels with Âme, one of clubland’s mainstays, consisting of Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann. Case in point: they’re certainly not getting tired of gracing stages big and small with their DJ sets and live performances around the globe, yet “Asa“ actually presents their first original material since three years. Particular track sees the duo on top of their game, as it offers another example of peak time dance floor that is still so much more than just the sum of its components. “Asa“ is big, joyful, euphoric, and sonically adventurous.
