When Harold Boue aka Abstraxion invited Fantastic Man into his studio after playing together the night before he didn't knew he was planting the seed for a new project. As he recalls, it was "a day of intense sun in Marseille with not enough sleep", but the result was so great that it inspired Harold to work on new tracks around the idea of creating music to reflect his city: a bit rough, but luminous and influenced by elements of Mediterranean, African and Northern European cultures. This has translated into a heavily percussive sound, in which tribal disco grooves invoke the spirits of voodoo-techno. Three cuts driven by warmly distorted rhythms, bursts of primitive drums, rubbery synths and uplifting chants that overall feel like the first sunrays after an excursion through a dark cave: both blinding and blissful. The project's name is a tribute to the astrological sign of Harold's son, who was born at the same time as the music on the EP. It was the definitive signal he needed to convince himself it was the right time to start something new and different. And an event that for sure helps understanding the vibes that this music transmits: as pure, fresh and powerful as only a new beginning can be.

Prana glistens into existence as ethereal pads drift by, giving way to a subtle, almost deep house beat that pulses nicely, backed by tribal-esq percussion. A gently staccato synth pattern flutters in and out toying with the idea of techno ever so slightly yet keeping well within the realms of his usual sound. Simplicity is the key in this track and Deepchord allows it to evolve slowly and he toys with sweeps of reverb and FX giving the track a lush, organic sound.

Tantra gives off a tougher vibe than it predecessor. Gently layered, deeper, edgier synths open the track as percussive elements, swathed in FX form the basis of the groove. Bolstered by a typical Deepchord dubbed out bass line this track once again evolves perfectly almost without the listener noticing the subtle changes that give Tantra a deep and emotive flow.

Never one to sit still and be pigeon holed into a genre, Deepchord easily turns his hand once again a brings two beautifully crafted tracks in his own inimitable style

The tale begins with a duel between two rival masters to determine which of their martial arts schools reign supreme. Master Zeng's students are superior by far and win every battle, but Master Hong has an ace up his sleeve. He announces a challenge with the mysterious Five Element ninjas. "Liquid Shorts" and its gigantic drums and menacing spirit spurs on the strongest students facing the challenge. Weapons collide, blows rain down, limbs get chopped. The students are not aware of the strength of the ninjutsu technique. None survive the battle.

Since meeting in Vienna in 2013, Paul Walter and Frankfurt-born Felix Rupprecht have built a solid friendship that has resulted in equally solid musical collaborations over the years. One of the fruits of this collaboration was "Chitlin Circuits EP", the second release on Paul's Meduka imprint in 2015 — now available on vinyl again.

'Love Me' (a1) and 'Organized' (b1) are exactly what you would expect from all-night jam sessions together: a fusion of Paul's exquisite talent for creating twisted but straightforward minimal grooves and Felix Rupprecht's love for broken beats and electro. The result? A full-bodied, often quirky, mostly cerebral and bold EP of unconventional drum arrangements, quirky bass lines, snappy drums, modular squelches, granular samples and computational synth equations.

Dirty South Cold Wave at full frequency, propulsive & punk rock, but this is strictly party music at its core. The drum patterns stay in perpetual motion, programed with skill & precision. “Sh4” is another banger. The sound of a malfunctioning Fairlight over intricate drums & angular arpeggios. Mitchell's tracks never sit still, and again here, the drum programming shines. Label concept Born in April 2014, Midgar is a Berlin based label that aims to bring innovative features into modern techno, and to deliver a new and meaningful sound loaded with positive energy. Leaving the trends behind, Midgar has a wide range of interests spanning from Deep Techno to Ambient and Downtempo. A sound that tells stories as people dance. Artist’s biography Ruhig is the new project of Luigi Cicchella, also known as Audiolouis , Dj/Producer and founder (together with Synthek) of Natch Records, respected techno label based in Berlin. Ruhig (real name Luigi Cicchella) musical background has deep roots in drum and bass, trip hop and ambient, which through the years he naturally extended to techno, but still keeping a really peculiar approach to it. Ruhig debuts on Midgar in 2014 with the deeply atmospheric (mdg002) ‘Lost In The Instability EP’ followed by a remix pack (mdg002x) from the likes of Edit Select, Luigi Tozzi, Wata Igarashi and Synthek. After one year Ruhig comes back on Midgar with a double Ep, which the first installment (MDG005.1) Particles EP is scheduled for mid december 2015.
