It is the result of forgetting everything and recomposing a new Sound World from the faintest, blurriest recollections of musical culture. Its purpose is confusion, its uniqueness is creating it in the realm of Music; a clash of instruments and minds.

Everything you will hear in the record was performed by humans and insects, spoken and sung by living beings, roughly a decade before the “smartphone”, which is probably the most stupid, final creating of mankind. The Alzheimer ensemble still exists and fully supports this initiative of celebrating the 24th year of its first of two published albums on vinyl. The spirit of our group will never be captured by robotic “intelligence”. We will fight it in every possible way through unpredictable cultural action and the infinite Human creative talent are uniting under our banner.

Drumcode favourite Victor Ruiz joins forces with rising Irish artist Modeā for an inspiring meeting of styles. Modeā’s ‘Shine’ may have brought many a dancefloor to its knees last summer, but it wasn’t just ravers who were weeping glorious techno tears. “Shine is one of the best electronic music records ever made,” Victor Ruiz states in emphatic fashion. The Brazilian producer, who has been industrious in recent months with the successful launch of his own label Volta, soon tapped the Donegal artist for a collaboration and the seeds for ‘Bloom’ had been sewn. ‘Contrast’ saw an inversion of their workflow. Victor Calderone has a very colourful history within the music scene working with the likes of Sting acting on Madonna's recommendation to remix 'Desert Rose' after also remixed Madonna's 'Frozen'. Having previously worked with Nicole Moudaber, they released a joint EP on Drumcode named, 'The Journey Begins' to great success. As a solo artist and DJ, Victor has been a resident at Roxy in New York and Liquid in Miami and has been working in the music industry since the early 90's to great success. Victor Calderone has stepped up for his first solo release on Drumcode with his two track single, 'Burden'. Featuring two energetic tracks, 'Skin' and 'Burden', Victor has used effected vocals to create funky rhythms over the top of some steaming kick drums. The synth stabs lend themselves well across this EP particularly in 'Burden' where they really augment the flow of the track. The use of percussion phrases throughout both tracks on the single also reinforces the grooves and adds character to create a distinctive sound that keeps the single fresh and exciting.

On the flip side, â€œRememberâ€ reveals a different side of Victor.B with its pace and almost trance-like groove, maintaining a gloomy house vibe and no â€œrave in the forestâ€ elements here. â€œBio10,â€ the final track in this review, is a bit more subdued yet still lively and very dancefloor-driven.

Parallel Minds' 4th label release comes via a long-time friend of the label and one of the city's most idiosyncratic artists, Vibrant Matter. A drummer, producer, film composer, DJ, and a veteran of the city's experimental pop scene, Kieran Adams' music has intrigued us at the label for a long time. From label co-founder Ciel's early days as a local promoter/DJ, she had been inspired by Adams' psychedelic & percussive DJ sets and found a kindred spirit in someone who shared similarly diverse musical interests. After two distinct & spellbinding releases on ACT!’s (fka Egyptrixx) Halocline Trance and beloved experimental label Seance Centre, PM cofounders received a batch of demos from Adams that felt too ideal to pass up. Encompassing everything from abstract improv performances, sound poetry, dub riddims, voice notes from friends, jazz drum breaks — the tracks were simultaneously confounding while still firmly rooted in club music.

Syncrete began in 2019 as sound experiments made with the artist's newly purchased Moog Matriarch. Chopping breaks, working with field recordings, and utilizing the instrument's delay, gate, filter, Kieran recorded himself doing long jams of synth and percussive textures that were formed into new rhythmic sequences and variations. Two years later, he went back to those sessions and plucked out his favourite loops and built new tracks around them, which you find here in this collection. For Kieran, this was an exercise in distillation and shedding, aided by the passing of time. In following this process, he was able to combine many different facets of his interests, and with time, pinpoint the most touching parts of each recording. There’s this really beautiful and haunting quality when for a moment through the fog of these compressed sounds, you can momentarily pick out a human voice, or a distant echo of a breakbeat, this feeling of a barely discernible shape in the sonic mist is what gives the EP a haunting emotional resonance & distinct musical texture.

Vera Logdanidi is one of the founders of Rhythm Buro and has been a key component of the label and parties series' development and success. Today we're excited to announce her first-ever solo release with an EP entitled 'Banksia'.

The Ukrainian artist's music career has spanned over the past 20 years, this is her first release on the Rhythm Buro label in 6 years. Her roots stretch back to the bass scene (which at times are rather palpable), but more recently she's been hard at work honing her craft under the house and techno umbrella. The Rhythm Buro project was founded by Vera, along with Oleksandr Pavlenko (aka Na Nich) and Igor Glushko (who runs the label offshoot of the project), Vera now steps up to highlight her own expression and vision of deep dance music with 'Banksia'. After previous appearances on labels such as Semantica, On Board Music and Corridor Audio, she has developed a signature set of soundscapes that can be attributed to her productions: deep, dubby, ethereal and trippy, with lush wide open spaces; yet notably polished and genre-agnostic. On the EP, Logdanidi has three original works and a remix. The title track on A1 is a great sample of Rhythm Buro's endeavored sound; groovy and hypnotizing. Following the A1 is a track called 'Root System', which continues this theme with a bit of a brain melter that showcases Vera's love for all things dubby. 'Essence', the B1 on the flip side, takes the listener on a journey through Logdanidi's housier side yet continues the theme adeptly. Closing the record, and bringing it to its logical conclusion, on B2 is a remix from deep techno maestro, Claudio PRC. Having played at one of Rhythm Buro's events in Kyiv previously and being a like-minded individual turned friend, Claudio is poised to make his debut on the label as well. A perfect match indeed!v
