Chopping Mall is a 1986 American horror film co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Mary Woronov, and Barbara Crampton. It focuses on three high-tech security robots turning maniacal and killing partying teenage employees inside a shopping mall after dark.

Chuck Cirino is an American composer with over 75 feature length projects to his credit including including film, TV, and web. Known for an energetic and experimental approach and his usage of electronics and synthesizers, Cirino's soundtrack to Chopping Mall remains a cult classic.

About the Composer

Samuel Laflamme is a composer who has strengthened projects across the film, television and video game worlds. Samuel Laflamme began his composing career scoring numerous television shows, documentaries, and ad spots across a multitude of genres. He has collaborated with many of the top video game companies in the industry, including Ubisoft, Activision, and Red Barrels where he worked on the critically acclaimed survival horror-game Outlast. Samuel’s other credits include French Canadian dramatic comedy series Le Chalet, along with the 2016 Canadian-American co-production, fantasy film Wait Till Helen Comes, based on Mary Downing Hahn’s best-selling novel from the 1980’s.

About the Director

Protégé of filmmaker/novelist Clive Barker, Anthony DiBlasi partnered in Barker’s production company Seraphim Films for nearly ten years, serving as a key executive & producer on films such as MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN starring Bradley Cooper and BOOK OF BLOOD. DiBlasi adapted and directed DREAD from the Barker short story, starring Laura Donnelly (HBO’s The Nevers) which won "Best Independent Feature" at the Spike Scream Awards. DiBlasi has adapted several Barker novels for the screen including THE DAMNATION GAME (Warner Bros) and THE THIEF OF ALWAYS (Fox).

DiBlasi directed, co-wrote and edited “Last Shift” a critically acclaimed supernatural horror film released by Magnolia Pictures in 2015. Last Shift was named among the top 5 horror films of 2015 and won both a Golden Skull award and an iHorror award. DiBlasi has directed 8 features including the critically acclaimed thriller MISSIONARY and MOST LIKELY TO DIE for Netflix. DiBlasi recently wrapped production on MALUM, an expanded reimagining of “Last Shift,” and is currently in development on the thriller THE STEP COUNTER with his writing partner and wife Natalie Victoria and Malcolm Spellman’s The 51 (The Winter Soldier).

The debut vinyl release of MALUM features the complete soundtrack by composer Samuel Laflamme pressed to 180 gram colored vinyl.

Pre-Cert, short for pre-certi?cation video, is a UK phrase that refers to a VHS tape released prior to the introduction of the 1984 Video Recordings Act. As the then new VHS market was completely unregulated, these editions were not required to be submitted to the BBFC, meaning the releases were completely uncensored - soon leading to the "video nasties" outrage. Today these tapes are sought after items on the collector's market. With his Cineploit debut, Magnus Sellergren set out to further and improve on the concept of Videogram's previous "S/T" 2014 album. Inspiration was drawn from the same sources as the previous full length effort, with the key words being bigger, better, and more produced. The result is an album created during a six-month period, between January and June 2015, starting with a total of thirty-some tracks that were written, then re-written - in some cases even completely rearranged - polished, and ?nally whittled down to a thirteen-track, 40+ minute full length LP/CD. Starting off with the now-familiar Videogram idents, Pre-Cert covers an assortment of classic genre-in?uenced sounds; from occult horror, 1980s Cannon action, thrillers and post-apocalyptics to "cannibal freakouts" (as he affectionately calls them), Italian-produced erotica, 1970s Spanish horror, the iconic Friday the 13th series and climaxing with a mammoth ?ve-part, 13-minute tribute to John Carpenter's sci-? horror classic "The Thing". The journey Videogram started in 2014 is now taking a huge step forward, offering the same amount of affection for the VHS format and genres as his previous efforts, but more focused, polished and well executed!

All these composers were renowned for their acute sense of composition, arrangement, conducting and inter- pretation, and in their own way left their mark on many sound recordings of musical illustration "made in France! CBE, the Chatelain, Bisson and Estardy studio is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. Still in operation and run by Julie Estardy, it has been receiving major artists for over half a century. It is a place of reference. At the time: Johnny Hallyday, Claude François, Sheila, Carlos, Françoise Hardy, Nino Ferrer recorded their hits there. Now it's the turn of Sebastien Tellier, Bertrand Burgalat, Keziah Jones, Tony Allen, Jeff Miles to name but a few. CBE and its giant Bernard Estardy put Tele Music in the best conditions to produce an atypical and powerful sound. Bernard Estardy had a custom- built mixing console built by his German friend Gunther Loof, offering the perfect tool for recording 4 and then 32-track Arp 2000, Moog, Korg, Prophet synthesizers and all acoustic instruments. The field of experi- mentation was limitless. Until now, the titles of this collection were only available in vinyl format, via rare and expensive prints that collectors sell for a high price on dedicated websites.
