You’d be forgiven for not knowing about these Studio Ghibli-commissioned jazz reworkings of much-loved classic soundtracks with the three-piece All That Jazz being one of Japan’s best kept secrets until now. Originally put together by the power-house animation studio for a series of jazzed-up covers, the group took off with their simple yet moving set-up of piano, bass and drums, and afterwards went on to do another record of anime classics. Sprinkled with complementary instruments, the project is tied together by the soothing vocals of Yukiko Kuwahara. On this first record you can find the hard-hitting main themes from My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind among other carefully curated tracks.

The PlayStation soundtrack for “To Heart,” one of Aquaplus' historic masterpieces of visual novels and a school love AVG that recently surprised fans with a new production announcement, is now available on a heavyweight analog vinyl record! The original “To Heart” game was released in 1997, followed two years later by the PlaySyation version in 1999, and then by various media mixes, including anime and comic book adaptations, which have made “To Heart” an explosively popular work. The songs are all distinctive and memorable without feeling old, having been released in the 90s, and each song brings to mind a scene from the game as it plays.

Taking the soundtrack reigns with true Wargroove spirit is composer Dale North (Dreamscaper, WIzard of Legend), whose use of playful melodies, meditative pieces and epic battle themes becomes a game character all by itself. Previously only available digitally, Wargroove 2 (Original Game Soundtrack) has now been pressed onto a 2LP limited edition color vinyl set with brand new artwork from Drew Wise. Groovy!

Friends' new release, celebrating its 10th year, is a Newtro collaboration & a commemorative edition to celebrate the upcoming 10th anniversary! The A-side includes a cover of “Ame ni Kiss no Hanataba wo”, which is also known as the opening theme song for the Naoki Urasawa original and anime version of “YAWARA!". Composed by singer-songwriter KAN, the song was also included on Miki Imai's fifth original album, “retour” (released in 1990), and has been reconstructed with a variety of POP sounds typical of Friends. The B-side includes a re-recorded version of “Yoru ni Dance”, one of the most popular songs since the band's inception!

Sega's masterpiece “Feel the Magic: Xy/xx” was released in 2004 and hit all game fans with a shocking, moving and miraculous love story. The song, which was repeatedly played on the official website and in the game and was even suspected of brainwashing, will be revived in 2024, the year of its 20th anniversary, in a limited single edition with a new remixed soundtrack!

One of the most difficult-to-obtain titles for ani-song/game music records!! Event-only, ultra-rare analog record “Tori No Uta”, a masterpiece so honored that it is even called the “National Anthem”, is finally being reissued! This legendary work, released in 2006 in a limited edition of 500 copies for event sales only, is finally being reissued! The jacket is a faithful reproduction of the original jacket drawn by Itaru Hinoue, which can only be seen on this title. The original version was a picture vinyl without obi, but the reissue version is a black vinyl 180g heavy-weight vinyl with obi! B-side includes remixes!

Dark Souls II, the highly anticipated sequel to 2009's Dark Souls was released with much fanfare in March 2014. As with it's predecessor, the intricate and moody score music struck a chord with fans of both composer Motoi Sakuraba and the game franchise, topping many a "best of 2014" list.

Additional music was written by Dark Soulscomposer Motoi Sakuraba, with a single boss theme each by Tsukasa Saitoh and Nobuyoshi Suzuki
