Netflix’s acclaimed series Suburra: Blood on Rome (available in over 190 countries) focuses on the deep connections between politics and organised crime in the Italian capital. The soundtrack to the third and final season was written, produced and performed by Roman rapper and songwriter Piotta, whose “7 Vizi Capitale” was already the theme song for seasons 1 and 2. His music beautifully complements the gripping plot and the characters’ journey, capturing the atmosphere of a side of Rome unknown to many. The vinyl LP contains 10 previously unreleased tracks, including 2 instrumentals and a remix.

With 9 albums under his belt, Tommaso Zanello, also known as Piotta, is one of the pioneers of Italian hip hop. Active on the Roman rap scene since the mid-90s, he earned national fame with his award-winning single “Supercafone” (1998), which was later used by Sky Japan as a theme song for the Italian football championship. He can boast collaborations with hip hop legend Afrika Bambaataa and English musician Captain Sensible and has toured the United States with the Vans Warped Tour.

Aside from his work with games, Piotr has a successful career in producing music for TV shows & film advertising. He has had his music used in some of the biggest Hollywood campaigns (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Pete’s Dragon), and has also worked with John Paesano on Penny Dreadful: The City of Angels and Leonardo.

For the first time ever, the whole Piero Umiliani’s production on his Sound Work Shop Record label is collected in a unique 17-Cd Boxset! The boxset includes a set of 17 CD’s enclosed in faithful reproductions of the original sleeves, plus a 72-page booklet with rare photos, two essays about Umiliani and his music production written by Maurizio Corbella and Niccolò Galliano, and a detailed discography and full tracklist section. This release has been fully approved by the Umiliani family. Without Umiliani’s contribution, Italian jazz, film music and library music would lack some of the key identifying features we associate them with today, thanks to his ability to carve out a distinctive sound identity from his personal craft, the studio he built and the trust he gained from his collaborators. This identity for many simply encapsulates the cipher of an unrepeated age of Italian popular music. At the Sound Work Shop studio (opened in 1968) Umiliani conceived the majority of his projects and hosted the recording sessions for numerous movie soundtracks, pop hits and library music albums by the most remarkable musicians in Rome — including himself. In this exciting environment, he had the opportunity to experiment with many different styles, from funk to psychedelic rock, from disco to avant-garde, from easy-listening to electronic music, following the ever-changing needs of the soundtrack and library music industries. He therefore mastered an extreme variety of genres, moods and atmospheres, often mixing up their peculiar features to achieve unusual combinations in albums conceived both for production purposes and for home listening. Umiliani’s ability to reinvent the concept of musicianship in the fast-moving society of his time made him a modern musician in the most complete sense of the term, by putting himself in charge of every facet of his work, from the conception to the production, the recording, the publishing and even the packaging of his own music. Back in 2020, we unveiled the first-ever release of this iconic soundtrack, whose master tapes were thought lost for decades. Owaru (in Japanese : 終わる) is the meeting of two friends and artists, Arnaud Forestier on piano and Adrien Duterte on flute. Playing along the lines of jazz and classical music, this energetic duo draws from a large palette of genres in order to highlight many of the most famous works from Japanese pop culture. After more than twenty shows featuring the original music of the Final Fantasy franchise, the band has decided to release an album solely focused on this repertoire. Legendary filmmaker and comedian Mel Brooks brings his classic monster musical comedy Young Frankenstein to life on stage in a musical collaboration with Tony-award winning Broadway director and choreographer Susan Stroman. Recorded live in London's West End. Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced 'Fronk-en-steen') (Hadley Fraser) inherits a castle in Transylvania leading him to fulfill his grandfather's legacy by bringing a corpse (Nic Greenshields) back to life. With help and hindrance from hunchback henchman Igor (Ross Noble), buxom assistant Inga (Summer Strallen) and needy fiance Elizabeth (Dianne Pilkington), his experiment yields madcap success and monstrous consequences. After opening on Broadway in November of 2007 the show ran until 2009. A revised version of the show opened in London's West End in October of 2017 to mostly positive reviews. ABC was set to air Young Frankenstein Live last October and delayed it due to Covid-19 restrictions. The show has been rescheduled to air October 2021 on ABC. Mastered and mixed at Abbey Road Studios. This is the first LP release of music from either of the Young Frankenstein live shows.

The series score by Flanagan’s long-time collaborators, The
Newton Brothers, features sweeping and dark orchestral cues
expertly crafted to accompany the gothic, Poe inspired storytelling. While melancholic and brooding, the music is also beautiful and playful at times. Massive orchestral swells are met with
bombastic percussion which then pull the listener into haunting and fright inducing territory.

The film earned the #1 spot in the Kids section on Netflix in 86 markets globally and the #1 spot for all movies regardless of genre/demographic in 20 countries. The first week of release, the soundtrack amassed over 25,000 Shazams and 3 million streams across DSPs. Its first vinyl release, on opaque purple vinyl, is for RSD Black Friday 2022.

The soundtrack features seven original songs varying across genres, with pony characters voiced by Vanessa Hudgens, Kimiko Glenn, James Marsden, and Sofia Carson. Original songs include “It’s Alright,” written and produced by Parisi and performed by teen heartthrob Johnny Orlando, and “Together” written and produced by Aaron Pearce and performed by Callie Twisselman. While not much is known now about the exact nature of their collaboration, we have Garson's magnificent score as a record of those heady, early days after his life-changing discovery of the Moog synthesizer. Notable for being one of the earliest screen appearances by a young Gary Busey, Didn't You Hear? also boasts one of the first-ever all-electronic movie scores. Though the score was first released in 1970, it sounds as adventurous and futuristic today as it must have then. Originally available only in the lobby of the theater at screenings of the movie in Seattle, the soundtrack LP went out of print shortly after the film's release. It has been a sought-after record for collectors of Mort Garson and early electronic music ever since. Sacred Bones is honored to reissue Didn't You Hear? as it was meant to be heard, taken from the original master tapes and given a pristine remaster by engineer Josh Bonati. Morton S. "Mort" Garson was a Canadian-born composer, arranger, songwriter, and pioneer of electronic music. He is best known for his albums in the 1960s and 1970s that were among the first to feature Moog synthesizers. His best-known album is Mother Earth's Plantasia, a 1976 Moog album designed to be played "for plants and the people who love them." Sacred Bones Records has undertaken the project of giving official, licensed reissues to key releases from Mort Garson's catalog, with the intention of bringing these bold masterpieces to a 21st century audience.

Record Store Day 2021 Release. Following their 1990s hiatus, Wire reformed in 1999, and, after setting up their own Pinkflag imprint, between 2001–2003 released five distinct Wire items: Twelve Times You (pf3; 7-inch vinyl), Read & Burn 01 (pf4; CD EP), Read & Burn 02 (pf5; CD EP), Send (pf6; CD album) and Pf456 Redux (pf456 Redux; 12-inch vinyl album. Following the two Read & Burn CD EPs, Wire released the full length album Send, combining some tracks from both Read & Burn EPs and four unreleased pieces. Since none of the tracks had previously been issued on vinyl, a creative solution was sought to include all of the tracks from Send and the two Read & Burn EPs. This was achieved by some quite brutal edits! Thus the title Pf456 Redux is both catalog number and descriptor of the process. However, none of the tracks on PF4, PF5 and PF6 were ever put out on vinyl at full length—hence Pf456 Deluxe, which includes everything from those three releases and Twelve Times You, for good measure. As in many things with Wire, form follows function. This limited edition version for Record Store Day 2021 comes with a hard -bound book containing text about these recordings and photos from the period.

The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to 2024 horror film Eight Eyes from director Austin Jennings (director/co-writer of Shudder’s The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs) which world premiered at the 2023 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, shot on 16mm and Super 8 on location in Serbia and Macedonia and starring Scream Queen Emily Sweet (v/h/s ‘99). The original score is composed by Devon Goldberg and performed by Morricone Youth. The film was co-produced by Vinegar Syndrome as the Blu-ray reissue/restoration label’s first entirely original production and is distributed by Shudder in North America and Donau Film in Europe. The film is available for streaming on Shudder as of September 23, 2024. Pressed on Eyeball Clear with Red Blood Vessel Swirl 150g vinyl.

A series of gruesome killings is shaking Herefordshire. Beth, a mother in her sixties is showing signs of early Alzheimers. Worried about her, her daughter Jess and son in law Connor, try to find a way to help her. Together they purchase an old house on Wyvern Hill so that she can move in with them and be looked after. However, her symptoms and slow loss of reality render Beth unable to realize that something has moved in with her, observing her every move, and preparing in the darkness of Wyvern Hill. Wyvern Hill was released in the United States under the name "Hollow." Shot between two lockdowns during the pandemic for 25 consecutive days and made for less than $6,500, the film went one to win and be nominated for numerous awards at film festivals across the UK. Michael Sanchez started scoring short films for Director Jonathan Zaurin and made his feature length debut with the impressive Wyvern Hill. He is again working with Jonathan Zaurin on Derelict and has two other films coming out in 2023. His score for Wyvern Hill was one of the most talked about parts of the film and was nominated at film festivals around the world. He is influenced by Akira Yamaoka (of the Silent Hill video game series), Daniel Licht, Charlie Clouser, Christopher Young, Amon Tobin, Joseph Bishara, Clint Mansell, and Danny Elfman. For Wyvern Hill, Sanchez literally combines all of those artists, while adding in some heavy horror elements and industrial flavors of his own to this jaw dropping score.

Final chapter of Jurassic saga
DESCRIPTION

Mondo, in conjunction with Back Lot Music, are proud to present the final chapter of the Jurassic saga: Michael Giacchino’s score to JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION.

Giacchino started his early career at Disney Interactive Division where he had the opportunity to write music for video games. After moving to DreamWorks Interactive, he was asked to score the temp track for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Subsequently, franchise creator Steven Spielberg hired him as the game’s composer and it became the first PlayStation game to have a live orchestral score, recorded with members of the Seattle Symphony. Now, 25 years later, Giacchino comes full circle with this soundtrack to the epic conclusion of the Jurassic era, recorded with 87 orchestra members and 30 choir members at Abbey Road Studios in London. Fans can expect Giacchino’s usual tongue-in-cheek track titles that highlight the action of the score cues.

Mondo has released all Jurassic World franchise series albums on vinyl to date, so complete the trilogy with the Jurassic World Dominion release. Custom artwork was designed by artist Justin Erickson of Phantom City Creative. The package will include liner notes from Jurassic World architect and director of Dominion, Colin Trevorrow, and pressed onto 180-gram webstore exclusive color vinyl.
