The vinyl version contains twelve tracks! "Minecraft - Volume Alpha" is the work of German composer and musician Daniel Rosenfeld. Under his stage name C418, Rosenfeld created the sweeping soundtrack and vibrant sound design that brought the voxel-based universe of "Minecraft" to life. Fans and critics alike were blown away by his beatless, balanced electro pieces across the board. Popular gaming site Kotaku listed the soundtrack among its "Best Game Music" of 2011, calling the music "impressively soothing," while The Guardian compared Rosenfeld's fragile pieces of piano and minimalist ambient to legendary artists Erik Satie and Brian ENO. In an interview, Polygon distilled "Volume Alpha" down to its essence: "The soundtrack is not tied to the retro aesthetic of Minecraft graphics. The soundtrack overrides them. The album is an attempt to translate the combined game/music experience into something heavenly."

Samurai Champloo Music Record: Departure is a soundtrack album, originally released on June 23, 2004. It is the second of four soundtrack albums released for the show. The album was produced by Japanese DJ / producer Nujabes, and American MC/producer Fat Jon, and featured Japanese rapper Shing02 and Japanese singer-songwriter MINMI on the album’s first and last tracks, respectively. Departure was critically lauded and is the best known album from the series, with especially high praise being reserved for “Battlecry”.

"Rob wanted the world of The Northman to feel harsh and uncomfortable, and for everything to feel like it was caked in mud and dry blood, so it was crucial for the score to mirror that." Composers Robin Carolan (Tri-Angle Records) and Sebastian Gainsborough (Vessel) were given a task of epic proportions when director Rob Eggers (The VVitch, The Lighthouse) asked them to create the score for his ambitious and highly anticipated new film The Northman, releasing on April 22nd. They needed to make a score that both honored the immense research that had gone into the authenticity of this Viking era period piece and complimented the cinematic maximalism of the film for a modern audience. The artists stretched themselves to the depths of their creativity and the resulting album is a gorgeous sonic tableaux that places the listener right in the center of the film. While arranging the score the composers consulted musician and ethnographer Poul Hoxbro for inspiration and insight into the history of Viking music. Having backgrounds in left field electronic music, Robin and Sebastian felt liberated by the constraint of using a small selection of musical tools for this piece. "Electronic music has almost limitless potential when it comes to making sounds and that's obviously an incredible thing, but you can also go down the wormhole and get lost in it sometimes. There's no risk of that happening when you only have a few primary instruments to draw upon." Robin remarked. They utilized traditional instruments such as the tagelharpa, langspil, kravik lyre, and säckpip to build the cinematic world of The Northman but they also took creative freedoms in adding instruments likes drums, which some academics believe wouldn't have played a big part in Viking musical culture, simply due to the lack of archaeological evidence of actual drums. "One of the pieces we wrote was intended to emulate the sound of a bullroarer; an ancient instrument used in sacred rituals or in battle to intimidate enemies. It makes a really disorienting roaring vibrato sound and low frequencies capable of traveling insane distances." Robin says when asked about one of the more unique aspects of the score. Everyone involved put so much effort into both their research and their creativity and this richness is evident in every track. The album as a whole is a cinematic masterpiece of sound and ambiance, both gorgeous and disturbing, like the film it so beautifully accompanies.

Tokyo Drift is often sighted as the best of the lot, and the musical score is definitely one of the most lauded among score fans. Brian Tyler scored Tokyo Drift, (with an assist from Slash on “Welcome to Tokyo”), and went on to the score four of the five subsequent films. This album has never been available before on LP. The very poor CD cover will be replaced with a new art design based on key art or a new animation. This double disc will feature an orange LP for sides A and B, and a black vinyl record for sides C and D, with side D featuring a stencil of the scarab beetle design that appears on the door of the car belonging to the Drift King. Lovecraft Country is an American horror drama television series based on and serving as a continuation of the 2016 novel of the same name. The series follows a young black man who travels across the segregated United States in the 1950’s in search of his missing father, learning of dark secrets plaguing a town on which famous horror writer H.P. Lovecraft based the location of many of his fictional tales.. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome the racist horrors of Jim Crow era America and terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback novel.

Showrunner Misha Green asked composers Laura Karpman and Raphael Saadiq to capture a sound she coined ‘gothic R&B,’ which the pair flawlessly produced, combining influences from J Dilla, 1960’s string work, & 18th century classical. Karpman describes the score as “the Twilight Zone meets Raphael Saadiq.”

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Karpman and Saadiq faced many challenges creating the score, but agree that ultimately, they wouldn’t have gotten the extraordinary sound they achieved had they undergone the traditional recording process. To achieve the full orchestra sound the creators wanted during the height of the pandemic, each member of the orchestra had to learn how to use pro-tools in order to record themselves while isolating in their own homes all over the world. To ensure the best sound quality, everything was close-miked, giving the score period authenticity by using the same techniques composers like Bernard Hermann (Psycho, Taxi Driver)l & Jerry Goldsmith (Planet of the Apes) would have used in the 1950’s and 60’s. Additionally, the musicians had no conductor, so Karpman relied heavily on music notation to achieve ‘aleatoric music’ or ‘chance music,’ which is usually attained directly from conductor cues.

“Sono Stato Un Agente Cia” (1978), also known as “Covert Action”, is a twilight film directed by Romolo Guerrieri and set in Greece, starring David Janssen, in the role of a former Central Intelligence Agency agent who became a writer of incendiary books on prostitution and drug trafficking, flanked by Maurizio Merli, a colleague in possession of some compromising tapes, sentimentally linked to the romance novel character played by the seductive Corinne Cléry. The two are involved in a murky game: the stars and stripes secret services intend to eliminate those who could spread the dangerous content of the military plan designed to stem the advance of communism, to be implemented through the assassination of government officials. It's not among the most famous crime stories. It's not even a real action movie. “Sono Stato Un Agente Cia” benefits, however, from the admirable compositional talent of Stelvio Cipriani. His soundtrack, released for the first time in full vinyl version, reveals an unpredictable versatility. His 'classic' style expressed in the course of the scores for previous 'poliziotteschi' is enriched here with disco suggestions and Hellenic exoticisms. The writing on the staff of the Roman composer is effective and empathetic in commenting on every fold of the dark and violent story. A simple and catchy theme, even danceable. My Story, The Buraku Story is a new feature-length documentary film that explores the discrimination against a group of people - commonly called "the burakumin" - who were classed into lowly groups and segregated from the rest of Japanese society. This discrimination is not by race or ethnicity, but rather by place of residence and bloodline, and has existed for centuries - albeit very rarely acknowledged or discussed in Japan. When director Yusaku Mitsuwaka imagined the exemplary score for such a culturally sensitive and significant subject, he idealized Mono to help tell this story through their legendarily cinematic music. Following their recent experiments with electronic textures infused into their trademark dynamic rock compositions, My Story, The Buraku Story finds Mono at their most understated and elegiac. The songs that make up My Story, The Buraku Story are largely built around piano, strings, synths, and choral vocal loops. As one might expect from Mono, the arrangements are masterworks of understated execution with oversized emotional resonance. By far Mono's most delicate album, it is a fitting document of the band's first-ever full-length film soundtrack.

Pieter Verlinden (1934-2002) was an exceptional composer responsible for hundreds of scores and soundtracks for television, ballet, theatre and film. Only some of his soundtracks were released at the time, like De 5 van de 4-daagse (The Five Are Marching In, 1974), Een mens van goede wil (A Man of Good Will, 1974) and De dood van een non (Death of a Nun, 1976). Most of his work was only preserved on the original master tapes in his personal archive, so the majority of Verlinden's music has never been heard and is unknown. With the album series The PV Tapes, 678 Records pays tribute to the maestro of Belgian film music. On the second album in this series we present two complete original soundtracks. On side 1 you will find the original library music recorded for the Dutch 1976 documentary Mensenwerk, directed by Richard Hock. On side 2 you will find the complete home recordings Verlinden made on his brand new Oberheim OBX synthesizer for the 1980 television drama Een spoor van Carla, directed by Paul Cammermans
