Urpa i musell feels very fortunate to announce its third release (UiM 003) after a long period of fertile collaboration with the film production company Andergraun Films: the 4-LP Box Set Les músiques per a Albert Serra by the inscrutable band Molforts.
The box set puts together the main musical works that the band created between 2006 and 2018 for the Catalan film director Albert Serra. It includes the soundtracks for three films —Honor de cavalleria / Honour of the Knights (2006), Història de la meva mort / Story of My Death (2013) and La mort de Louis XIV / Last Days of Louis XIV (2016)—, two art pieces —Cubalibre (2012, Documenta, Kassel) and Singularity (2015, Biennale di Venezia)— and the recent play Liberté (2018, Volksbühne, Berlin).
Albert Serra is considered one of the most singular, radical and also controversial filmmakers working today. Tirelessly seeking never-before-seen images, his films and other works are characterised by an improbable balance between wild freedom and exquisite sophistication.

The story of Eyeshield 21 follows the protagonist Sena, the whipping boy of his classmates, who wants to earn respect by joining a club at the start of the school year. He crosses paths with Hiruma, head of the American soccer club, who recruits him for his exceptional running skills. They must quickly find 11 other players, as the inter-school championship begins in 24 hours. Numerous artists and composers were involved in creating the theme music and accompanying songs, including Kosuke Morimoto, who contributed to various theme songs for Fullmetal Alchemist and One Piece. Any fan of the series will have a strong feeling of nostalgia when they recall the music that marked them during their teenage years. The very Pop-rock and J-pop tones will remind them of those after-school afternoons watching episodes of this epic anime on Game One. Chopping Mall is a 1986 American horror film co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Mary Woronov, and Barbara Crampton. It focuses on three high-tech security robots turning maniacal and killing partying teenage employees inside a shopping mall after dark.

Chuck Cirino is an American composer with over 75 feature length projects to his credit including including film, TV, and web. Known for an energetic and experimental approach and his usage of electronics and synthesizers, Cirino's soundtrack to Chopping Mall remains a cult classic.

Featuring music by EMMY® and BAFTA Award winning composer Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, TV’s The Walking Dead) in a special deluxe double LP vinyl edition. Directed by Lars Klevberg and starring Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry, and featuring the new voice of Chucky performed by Mark Hamill (Star Wars), CHILD’S PLAY is the 2019 American horror film reboot of the 1988 film of the same title. The plot follows a family that is terrorized by a high tech doll that rejects its programming and becomes self aware.

Composer Bear McCreary’s music of CHILD’S PLAY is carried out with his assembly of a “toy orchestra”. McCreary uses his own voice to create an ominous “kids choir” and collaborates closely with legendary actor Mark Hamill who sings the track for the film, “The Buddi Song”. Inspired by Chucky’s toy origins, McCreary challenged himself by composing a score predominately with toys and handheld instruments, completely avoiding traditional orchestra. Toy pianos, slinkies, xylophones, rattles, ukuleles, accordions, kazoos, hurdy gurdies, and more are married with a variety synthesizers, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass to create a wholly original, terrifying, and dynamic score.

Album features include the complete film music by Bear McCreary, double 180 gram “Chucky’s Eyes” colored vinyl (Blue and Red), artwork by Phantom City Creative, composer liner notes, a 12”x12” insert, and deluxe packaging.
