Reissued, mega rare soundtrack to the obscure Venezuelan sexploitation film "Sobre la Hierba_ Virgen" originally released in 1976 and almost impossible to find in any condition. The album includes a wide variety of music to enjoy, from thrilling psychedelic jazz-funk to spacey experimental tracks, killer drum-breaks or romantic instrumental tunes. The romantic side of Maestro Morricone contrasts the dramatic side of Thriller and Crime genre where dissonances always dominate. For TIE ME UP! (1989) Morricone composed a delicate love theme for his one and only collaboration with the great Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar. For FOR Love (1976) he created a motif for piano and orchestra as a back- ground to a love triangle. The first sexual experiences of a teenager with older women at the end of the war in Disobedi- Ence (1981) are accompanied by piano, strings and oboe. “Desperate love theme” from Making Love (2000) is a very nostalgic classic tune for violin and orchestra. “Per le antica scale (Preludio)” from Down THE Ancient Stairs (1975) is a captivating, slow and sensual, love tune for piano and orchestra with a predominant flute solo. “Beata and Joe” from THE Star Maker (1995) a sentimental theme for the two protagonists performed by an orchestra with the intervention of a classical guitar in the second part. The crystal voice of soprano Edda Dell’Orso appears very frequently in Ennio Mor- ricone’s soundtracks as in the case of THE Good Thief (1980), THE Master AND Margarita (1972), What Have YOU Done TO Solange? (1972), Orient Express (1979).

Themes that were usually not directly connected with the subjects of the soundtrack, but which were played in disco clubs, on jukeboxes, turntables and on the radio. This collection contains a selection of very cool pieces such as the brilliant main theme from Grand Slam (1967), the shake rock (opening credits) from Dario Argento’s classic Four Flies ON Grey Velvet (1971), the danceable from the noir film Violent City (1970), the beat version of the opening credits of “Pioggia sul tuo viso” by The Sorrows, from HOW I Learned TO Love Women (1966), “Per Vittorio (Bossa)” elegant bossa nova with flute and percussions from THE Success (1963), the tribal shake from I Cantori Moderni which winks at the Dies Irae from Garden OF Delights (1967), “Scuola di ballo al sole” a wild surf piece from THE Hawks AND THE Sparrows (1966), the supreme bossa nova from ONE Night AT Dinner (1969) with the super iconic voice of Edda Dell’Orso, the shake music of “Ostinazione al limone” from What Have YOU Done TO Solange? (1972), “Donnabossa” from Full Hearts AND Empty Pockets (1964), a delicate bossa nova with a prominent harpsichord.

The studies with Goffredo Petrassi and the association with Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza let the Avant-garde playing an important role in the career of Ennio Morricone, who wrote many contemporary pieces for himself, but then the author composed soundtracks where dissonance played a major role. For the Italian edition of the film Space: 1999 (1975), the cult British TV series, he composed a very neurotic Jazz with muted horns. Also for the science-fiction film THE Humanoid (1979) Ennio Morricone created hallucinating strings scores mixed with electronic effects. For Sacco E Vanzetti (1971) an electronic score by Walter Bianchi evokes all the drama of the undeserved death sentence of the two protagonists. Experimental music of great impact in the film and off the screen for famous thrillers such as THE Death Dealer (1974), Short Night OF Glass Dolls (1971). Avant-garde music has always been present in Elio Petri’s films set to music by Morricone such as Property IS NO Longer A Theft (1973). Avant-garde music in the noir cinema of Violent City (1970) and A Pure Formal- ITY (1994) and in auteur films such as Garden OF Delights (1967) and Sarah’s Last MAN (1972).

Ennio Morricone is known throughout the world for the Italian Western genre, but most of all for his famous soundtracks for Sergio Leone’s masterpieces which have entered into popular culture on an international level, and here represented by iconic themes such as A Fistful OF Dollars (1964), FOR A FEW Dollars More (1965), Once Upon A Time IN THE

West (1968), A Fistful OF Dynamite (1971) with extraordinary soloists such as the coro dei cantori Moderni di ales- sandroni, the whistle of Alessandro Alessandroni, the harmonica of Franco De Gemini, and Edda Dell’Orso’s soprano voice. For the Westerns starring the legendary Giuliano Gemma – A Pistol FOR Ringo and THE Return OF Ringo – both directed by Duccio Tessari, he wrote the songs “Angel Face” (with lyrics by Gino Paoli) and “The Return of Ringo” respectively performed by Maurizio Graf with pop music arrangements that were popular at the time. With PistolS Don’t Argue (1964) Morricone experiments with a still undefined pre-Leone sound, Death Rides A Horse (1967) presents a main theme for guitars ostinatos, exotic flutes and choir. For Life IS Tough, EH Providence? Ennio Morricone creates a theme that mixes religious elements for a female choir with modern arrangements. And A Fist Goes West (1981) a late Western in which the composer himself interprets the Indian’s screams.

Legendary hip hop pioneer DJ Muggs and frequent David Lynch collaborator Dean Hurley join forces for the original score to the 2023 Sundance-premiering feature film Divinity. Equal parts sonically punishing and ethereal, the soundtrack delivers a unique punch that further intensifies the mind-bending, acid-trip experience of the film.

Divinity is a sci-fi dystopian odyssey produced by Steven Soderbergh and helmed by visionary director Eddie Alcazar. Set in the distant future, scientist Sterling Pierce dedicated his life to the quest for immortality, slowly making progress developing a serum named Divinity. Jaxxon Pierce, his son, now controls and profits from his father’s once benevolent dream. Society on their barren planet has been entirely perverted by the supremacy and pervasiveness of the drug. Two mysterious brothers arrive with a plan to abduct the mogul, and with the help of a woman named Nikita, they set on a trajectory hurtling toward true immortality.

Amidst the film’s extraordinary tapestry of stark aesthetics and themes, the score is a ten ton barbell of sonic weight. Crafted with 8-bit samplers, Wavestation synths, extended choir and string techniques, the soundtrack manages to swing wildly between the arenas of both music and sound design. Like all rich soundtracks, listening to the score on its own re-conjures the imagery of the film in the screen of the listener’s mind, an aural experience that manages to encapsulate and pulse a matched intensity of the film.

Tracks like ‘The Brothers’ and ‘Reflective Dreams’ cascade Vangelis-esque tones, painting with broad strokes of cinematic grandeur and ethereal wonder. ‘Main Titles’ and ‘Infinity Techno’ conversely swing hard into relentless, punishing sonics; with brutal, pulsing energy representative of the twisted, relentless pursuit of immortality. A standout of the album is undoubtedly “Divinity 2 Infinity: The Odyssey,” featuring cult hip-hop hero and lyrical-savant Kool Keith. Written for the film’s end credits, the track is a satisfying throwback to the 90’s original soundtrack cut bespoke-tailored to the film’s narrative themes.

DJ Muggs and Dean Hurley’s synergy yields a soundtrack that takes Divinity beyond the screen and into a multi-dimensional experience, inviting its listener along uncharted aural terrain for an unforgettable odyssey in sound.

Ryuichi Sakamoto (1952–2023) was one of the most personal and important voices of the world music scene for several decades: from rock to pop, new age, opera, concert music, electronic and film music, no genre was foreign to him, and he managed to stamp his own style on each of them. His acclaimed score for Wuthering Heights is written in the symphonic tradition of his scores for Bernardo Bertolucci’s THE Last Emperor (for which he won the Oscar for Best Original Score) and Little Buddha. One of Sakomoto’s most special and beloved scores, Wuthering Heights is haunting, beautiful, romantic and tragic. The Dive is a 2023 scuba-diving movie, starring Sophie Lowe (Medieval) and Louisa Krause (Billions), with much of the footage - underwater and topside - shot in the popular diving destination of Malta. The score to The Dive is composed by Volker Bertelmann & Raffael Seyfried. Bertelmann is a German composer who is also known under the name Hauschka. In 2022, he won an Academy Award and BAFTA for his work on All Quiet on the Western Front. For the soundtrack for The Dive, he teamed up with Raffael Seyfried, who previously scored the documentary The Lost Souls Of Syria.

A mesmerizing journey of electronic and classical elements for this year most awaited Canal + series
"D'Argent & De Sang" is the latest creation from French producer Erwan Castex, known as Rone, famous for acclaimed albums such as "Room with a View" and "Tohu Bohu", who won a César for his first soundtrack for Frédéric Farrucci's film "La Nuit Venue" in 2021 and the award for best soundtrack at the Cannes Film Festival for Jacques Audiard's "Les Olympiades".
Initially entitled "Tikkoun", the next CANAL+ original series "D'Argent & De Sang" is produced by Curiosa Films and directed by multi-César winner Xavier Giannoli (with "Lost Ilusions in 2021), with whom the composer worked closely to develop a subtle blend of electronic and classical sounds, a field in which Rone's reputation is well established. "By mixing classical orchestral textures with modern electronic elements, I wanted to symbolise the heterogeneity of the worlds that intersect in this story".
The first part of the series, which features among many others Vincent Lindon will be broadcast in France on Canal + from 16 October 2023.

Wendell & Wild is a 2022 stop-motion animation film directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline) and written by Selick and Jordan Peele. It stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the titular characters Wendell and Wild, with Angela Bassett, Lyric Ross, James Hong, and Ving Rhames in supporting roles. The film marks Selick's first feature since Coraline (2009).

Wendell & Wild is an animated tale about two scheming demon brothers Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Jordan Peele) who enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot, a tough teen with a load of guilt and a love for punk rock, to summon them to the Land of the Living. In the immense Goblin discography, an enormous void has always been represented by the original motion picture soundtrack of Squadra Antimafia, a score which we have tried to find, since many years, but that is apparently lost. A 1978 movie full of absolute cult icons among which Tomas Milian, Bombolo, Enzo Cannavale, Eli Wallach, Massimo Vanni directed by Bruno Corbucci: to this incredible list of stars to add Goblin is exciting. So, a while ago, following the initiative of Fabio Capuzzo, veteran musicians of the prog and funky Italian scene are involved and gathered to work to a new recording session of this amazing score. The result isn’t intercepted too late by Beat Records radars and so we are proud to give a discographic life to this wonderful project through which, with extreme precision and care has been realized again the soundtrack now expressed through the sonorities of Marcello Bonetta (keyboards), Diego Vergari (drums, percussions) Giorgio Giuseppe Tonazzo (bass), Antonio Micheli (Guitar). All the funk created by Goblin to comment Milian vicissitudes is replicated with renovated vigor and vintage charm, to the program couldn’t be missing the cue “E lassame perde” that, thanks to the collaboration between Fabio Capuzzo and Alan Donati, son of the original singer Aldo, could count on the real voice of the crooner taken from a demo stored in the family estate archive. Also present a new version of the Goblin cue AMO NON AMO, arranged by Marcello Bonetta and Diego Vergari, as a special bonus track. Contrasting strains of old-fashioned lyricism and modern soundscapes frame a score of great stylistic diversity. Even though Theatre OF Blood was a success—and has become even more widely admired over the last halfcentury—no commercial album of the full soundtrack existed until 2010, when the score made its debut on CD by La-La Land Records. The program has now been freshly mastered specially for vinyl and re-sequenced for a better listening experience, as it would have been had it been released in 1973. This limited edition of 500 units, pressed on audiophile 180 GM blood-red-and-black splatter, has been produced, restored and mastered by Chris Malone from the original stereo master tapes.

Based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling novel, the first series of Good Omens was released in 2019 and became a worldwide hit. Good Omens 2 explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the ineffable friendship between Aziraphale (Michael Sheen), a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley (David Tennant).

Multi-faceted composer David Arnold returns having received two Primetime Emmy nominations for the first series. His many awards include a Grammy (Independence Day) and a Primetime Emmy (Sherlock). Taking over the mantle from John Barry as the Bond composer he scored five in total ranging from Tomorrow Never Dies through to Quantum of Solace. Other film successes include Stargate, 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hot Fuzz and Made in Dagenham. TV highlights include Little Britain, Sherlock and Dracula. This debut vinyl edition is pressed on Pearl White and Transparent Green vinyl.

Doctor Who – Revenge Of The Cybermen was the season 12 finale first broadcast on April 19th, 1975. As with so much television music of the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s, the original master tapes of Carey Blyton’s score for Revenge of the Cybermen were not retained. The only surviving copy is a set of four 7”, 7.5ips “composer’s copy” domestic 1/4-inch tape. It is from those digital transfers that this release is taken. Sadly, and to Carey’s obvious and understandable disappointment, the completed music did not meet with the complete approval of the production team, and much of it was not used. Peter Howell of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop added some electronic embellishments and arranged some additional cues for parts two and three but some of that was also left on the proverbial cutting room floor. For this release, Carey’s original score is presented (and heard here for the first time) as written. This is followed by the additional, alternative, and “enhanced” cues, all of which were also on Carey Blyton’s tapes.

Doctor Who – Time And The Rani was the opening serial of season 24, first broadcast on September 7th, 1987. It marked the debut of Sylvester McCoy and featured CGI in a very basic form as the technology was still in development. It also debuted a new computer animated opening title sequence with a new synthesiser version of the theme created by Keff McCulloch.

The composer was invited to create incidental music for the series and became a regular member of the team also writing music for Delta & The Bannerman, Paradise Towers, Remembrance Of The Daleks, Silver Nemesis, Battlefield, Dimensions In Time and Shada.

Keff, Dominic Glynn and Mark Ayres were the composers for the last three years of Doctor Who on its original run that ended in 1989, the latter compiling and producing this release.
