Galcher Lustwerk has put together a collection of 10 ambient cuts here that he wrote to score a film by Josh Kline, a fine artist whose solo exhibition "Project for a New American Century" recently opened at the Whitey Museum of American Art in New York. It is a dystopic science fiction movie that details what happens after the climate crisis really takes hold. The music is an esoteric mix of free jazz, drones and bleeped-out ambient that is alive with busy, fizzing frequencies. It's a dense, textural brew that collides synth and sax sounds into a new sort of tribute to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner score.

The horror master John Carpenter is back with his Halloween franchise collaborators Daniel Davies and Cody Carpenter for their infectious new soundtrack to the 2022 adaptation of Stephen King's Firestarter. This marks the first official soundtrack that the team has composed together outside of the Halloween franchise and their inspiration and evolution as a creative team is on full display. The film is a new take on the thriller examining a girl with extraordinary pyrokinetic powers and her fight to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture and control her. The film releases theatrically on May 13th, 2022 and stars Zac Efron, Sydney Lemmon, Ryan Kiera, is directed by Keith Thomas (The Vigil) and created by the producers of The Invisible Man. The story has become a classic and the intense nature of the film creates a canvas for a dynamic soundtrack. The Firestarter soundtrack utilizes some of the best elements of Carpenter's famous musical repertoire and charts exciting new territory. The tracks range from fist pumping sci-fi anthems to slow reverb drenched piano ballads and each utilizes a variety of sonic applications. Skulking beats, skittering synths, crushing guitars and an ever-lurking echo come together to create an album that is atmospheric and also deeply melodic, cohesive and eclectic. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1973 cult classic Theatre OF Blood, Quartet Records, in collaboration with MGM, presents the first-ever LP edition of the Iconic Michael J. Lewis’ score! Directed by Douglas Hickox and starring Vincent Price and Diana Rigg, with guest victims Ian Hendry, Harry Andrews, Robert Morley, Michael Hordern and Jack Hawkins, among others, the film is a macabre British black comedy about a Shakespearean actor who is systematically humiliated by critics who consider him hammy and old-fashioned. The actor becomes a serial killer and murders every critic by emulating the sadistic crimes in Shakespeare’s plays. Michael J. Lewis (sphinx, THE Madwoman OF Chaillot, THE Naked Face, THE Medusa Touch) composed a delightful score, with a catchy, charming main theme that is opposed to the brutality of the story. Contrasting strains of old-fashioned lyricism and modern soundscapes frame a score of great stylistic diversity. Even though Theatre OF Blood was a success—and has become even more widely admired over the last halfcentury—no commercial album of the full soundtrack existed until 2010, when the score made its debut on CD by La-La Land Records. The program has now been freshly mastered specially for vinyl and re-sequenced for a better listening experience, as it would have been had it been released in 1973. This limited edition of 500 units, pressed on audiophile 180 GM blood-red-and-black splatter, has been produced, restored and mastered by Chris Malone from the original stereo master tapes.

After a decade of creating pioneering puppet series made for children, Gerry & Sylvia Anderson took their first steps into live-action, with the 1969 feature film Doppelgänger (re-titled outside Britain as Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun). This science-fiction film approached its outer space subject matter with a gritty realism, and would set the tone for what was to be their first live-action television series: UFO. This new series took as a starting point the pioneering work of Dr Christiaan N. Barnard, the surgeon who performed the world’s first heart transplant operation. In UFO a dying race of aliens travel across vast distances of space to harvest organs from human beings to help ensure their own survival. To combat this threat the United Nations created SHADO, a top-secret organisation utilising the latest technology available to defend the Earth. To complement the series, the Andersons frequent musical collaborator Barry Gray created a multifaceted score that gave the programme its own musical identity. Elegantly crafted and a firm favourite with Barry Gray fans, the sound of UFO, particularly its ethereal “World Music” closing credits is, quite simply, a joy. Includes a bonus track, Trampoline performed by The Spencer Davis Group from the episode Ordeal.

Original film soundtrack For the first time ever, here is the soundtrack from the 1983 post-apocalyptic flick directed by Joe D’Amato, Endgame - Bronx Lotta Finale. A compelling Carlo Maria Cordio’s mighty Vangelis-meets-John Carpenter score. With hangovers from previous Giallo-based outings, Endgame’s themes are more gentle and introspective than, say, Claudio Simonetti’s muscular work for The New Barbarians and Hands of Steel but also, arguably, musically more diverse. In particular, the opening title track ‘Atomic Contamination” is genuinely chilling when set against the stock footage of a nuclear bomb going off. While liberally pinching the vibe of Blade Runner’s more symphonic textures, Cordio’s synthesizers also do bombast, melancholy and menace when required, whilst the pretty pieces for Lilith are like semi precious jewels shining out of the murk and machismo.

This LP would not have been possible if Edipan hadn’t conserved two mono masters in good conditions in its archives (stereo mixes have gone lost). Unfortunately it was not possible to cancel some magnetic flaws. We brought to life an OST that contains all the popular and well respected music elements of Maestro Nicolai: dissonant strings segments, experimental effects of an evocative classical main theme, ambiguous and mysterious, accompanied by pop rithms. Direction AND Cast Directed by Peter Collinson in 1974 and starring: Oliver Reed, Elke Sommer, Richard Attenborough, Gert Fröbe, Herbert Lom, Charles Aznavour, Maria Rohm, Adolfo Celi, Stéphane Audran, Alberto de Mendoza, Orson Welles (just voice). Plot A stranger that calls himself U.N. Owen invites ten people to stay at an isolated house in the Iran desert, drawning them with weird excuses. The nearest town is twohundred miles away and there are no phone in the house. Once arrived, they don’t meet the house owner but they hear his voice recorded while he accuses them of several homicides still unpunished, for which they would pay with their lives. From this moment on, they will start to get killed one by one. Only two of them will save themselves: Vera Clyde and Hugh Lombard, who didn’t commit the crime Owen accused them of, since they were mistakenly called to the house.

Robby Poitevin (24-10-1926 / 3-10-2003) represents the Italian Film Music school, very close, for its lounge sounds, to that of his American colleagues, such as Lalo Schifrin, Henry Mancini, Quincy Jones and Hugo Montenegro. Other than being an extremely valid arranger and orchestra leader, Maestro Poitevin composed jazz, blues and swing themes, like those for “The hired killer”, which is part of the police and spy current. For this genre, the composer also created other remarkable soundtracks, like “Assassination”, “L’uomo del colpo perfetto”, “Quella carogna dell’ispettore Sterling”, “A.D.3 Operazione squalo bianco”. In 1966 RCA published an LP for the promo series SP (SP 8017), which had nine selections for a total running time of 19:06 minutes. In 2009 GDM Music printed out this OST, for the very first time on CD (gdm 4018), with three extra tracks, pairing it with “Quella carogna dell’ispettore Sterling”. We are reprinting the nine tracks of the original promo LP and, along with the three bonus tracks of the previous GDM’s CD, we are adding four more unpublished tracks, discovered in the original recording session’s mono masters, which bring the total running time of the LP up to 37:04 minutes. Robby Poitevin composed an elegant music, inspired by jazz, blues and American swing, creating calm and mysterious athmospheres as well as pure action ones. Among hired assassins, bullets and homicides there is also a love theme, arranged in different versions such as Bossa and sung by female voice.

Velvert Turner Group’s self-titled 1972 release, which aptly closes with a tribute to Hendrix (a cover of “Freedom”), has been out of print for decades. Herdís Stefánsdóttir graduated with an M.A. degree in film scoring from New York University in 2017. Since graduation she has scored three feature films, the most recent one is M. She won the 2022 Icelandic Music Award for her score to the FX series Y: the Last Man and was also nominated for her score in Ry Russo-Young’s MGM/Warner Bros. feature film The Sun Is Also a Star and the HBO series We’re Here. Other scoring work includes Apple TV+’s Essex Serpent, co-scored with Dustin O’Halloran, starring Claire Daines and Tom Hiddleston. Herdís interned for the Oscar nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannssonin Berlin while he was working on the film Arrival (2016) and she has scored numerous short films that have premiered at top-tier festivals around the world like Berlinale, Tiff, Sundance and Palm Springs International Film Festival. Herdís releases and produces her solo work under artist name Kongulo, she is currently working on her first record. Previous art projects include electro-pop duo East of My Youth. One of the most notorious hatemongers in movie history is Captain Ahab from John Huston’s 1956 classic Moby Dick. His manic monologues cast a spell on generations of viewers. Berlin based musician and sound artist Jan Jelinek has now turned the voice of Ahab into a musical instrument. Faitiche presents Jan Jelinek's soundtrack for Seascape – polyptych, an audio-visual software developed in collaboration with Canadian new media artist Clive Holden in 2022. Seascape – polyptych is based on image and acoustic source material from Moby Dick. While Holden works on manipulating film sequences, the voice of Ahab plays a central role in Jan Jelinek’s soundtrack. The dynamic volume and tone of the captain's speech control a synthesizer system that turns Ahabs voice into ten abstract soundscapes. In this production the voice gives the impulse and controls things but is not the sound of spoken word itself that we hear. Only occasionally can snippets of speech be heard so that syllables or sounds are recognisable. Instead we hear compositions made of hissing, soundscapes and eruptive sounds. The atmosphere is dark and sinister. Still every piece has a clear sonic structure and follows an understandable dramatic composition. This music is abstract but not overwhelming. Quite the opposite, Seascape – polyptych is an invitation to listeners to let themselves be carried by the stream of sonic events. Although part of a media art work, the soundtrack can be enjoyed without any of this connecting superstructure. It works with no previous knowledge. But what happens when one does know that it’s the sonic waves of a human voice that is controlling a network of synthesizers? If you want to hear Ahab, you will hear a choir of Ahabs in every piece of sound. The subliminal threatening as well as the conjuring Ahab. Finally the Ahab who whips up his crew and tears them with him into their downfall. The majestic „on the quay now, waiting and watching“, the oppressive “drawn towards the whirlpools center” - they are all music as well as sonic discourse.

We are thrilled to be releasing the score to A Quiet Place in conjunction with our friends over at Milan Records. The film has been one of the breakout hits of 2018. This is only the second directorial feature for John Krasinski and is an absolutely incredibly tense monster movie, that is as original as it is scary.

The score by Marco Beltrami is an absolute tour de force, it's basically another character in the film, it can be forceful and bludgeoning one minute and quiet and reflective the next. His players twist their instruments to generate tones and textures not usually associated with them, the layers of sound and percussion on display are incredible, the opening track 'It Hears You' reminds me of a classic Planet Of The Apes cue it's disquieting and slightly wonky but has an incredible hook that immediately lets you know you are in horror territory whereas say 'A Quiet Family' is a beautiful piano track that reminds you of the life the family lived before a world of monsters took over. Pianos are detuned, Electronics are layered over traditional instruments to create something truly unsettling

The film draws inspiration from the many cases of kidnappings recorded during the Seventies. The first vinyl edition of the soundtrack, edited by Musica Per Immagini, offers the listener a selection of his most significant tracks, carefully remastered, already released on cd. The soundtrack is a fabulous mix of lounge atmospheres, explosive action music and mysterious moments from which the sound of tubular bells emerge, as in the bittersweet pentaphonic opener Lovely Mood. Synthesis of a different mood from that adopted by his peers, exemplary in Ambushers, played by bass, guitar and piano, plus the string section in counterpoint. True hip hop break. Within the depths of the tracklist, it is easy to identify the third axis of the project, The Persuaders, thanks to the irresistible rhythm of the brass. The Sicilian Mafia motif is also distinctive, punctuated by the traditional sound of the Jew's harp. Another distinguishable aspect of Piero Piccioni's work is the wealth of themes. The composer goes beyond the model that provides for the creation of a main theme and a secondary theme with related variations, because he creates leitmotifs and musical figurations tailored to each of the salient situations and related protagonists.

It is naturally supernatural.From their arsenal of tools, Jarmusch and Logan pulled electric guitars and basses made by Rick Kelly and Cindy Hulej at Carmine Street Guitars, an acoustic resonator, Moog Minitaur and Theremini synthesizers, Fender Rhodes electric piano, an old Ludwig drum kit, cheap vintage Casio and Yamaha keyboards and new synths from Critter and Guitari _ all sculpted through a collection of effects pedals, notably from Earthquaker Devices.The inspiration for SQÜRL's score for The Dead Don't Die came from some of the most iconic soundtracks of the past half-century of genre cinema _ Tangerine Dream's Sorcerer, Bebe and Louis Barron's Forbidden Planet, Ennio Morricone's The Thing and Once Upon a Time in the West, Goblin's Dawn of the Dead, and all things John Carpenter. The singular Theremin work of Samuel J. Hoffman on films like Spellbound and The Day the Earth Stood Still also made its way into Jarmusch and Logan's consciousness. The result is a new horror soundtrack that stands shoulder to shoulder with the great works of its genre.

During the maiden voyage into an expansive vat of unreleased music by Polish composer Andrzej Korzynski, Finders Keepers Records originally presented his previously unreleased electro / orchestral / experimental score for Andrzej Zulawski's surrealist '80s horror classic Possession in 2012. These 25 cues were written and recorded exclusively for the 1981 award-winning film starring Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neil, but due to the progressive, stark and modernist nature of the finished film less than half of them made it on to the actual director's cut—leaving many of the tracks on this package totally unheard outside of Korzynski's studio. The intended Possession score in its entirety marks an important axis in Korzynski's career where his various musical disciplines overlap. In one respect it marks his first forays into to synth driven electronics and disco drum machines, while other tracks epitomize the well-honed techniques used in previous Zulawski scores, such as Third Part Of The Night and The Devil, which rely on his inimitable orchestral arrangements and combination of clavinet, Rhodes, piano and electric guitar. Available once again on black 12" vinyl for the first time since its original release some 11 years ago, Finders Keepers' ongoing commitment to the important restoration of Korzynski's music aims to shed new light on the seldom manufactured productions of the composer whose vast cinematic catalogue warrants overdue global status alongside other golden era Eastern European composers such as Kryzstof Komeda, Jan Hammer, and Zdenek Liska—not to mention the best of the French and Italian soundtrackers, such as Roubaix, Vannier, and Nicolai. Duplicated and carefully remastered directly from Korzynski's original master tapes this album boasts the uninhibited studio experiments and retains the pre-cut ambience.

The world doesn‘t offer much cause for hope right now: after the pandemic follows a war in the middle of europe, climate catastrophe is looming, and many of us are falling into a vague sadness. Daschenka Project sets a counterbalance to this contemporary melancholy: the groovy, earthy music creates fertile ground for lightness, on which Dascha Lüscher talks in a charismatic, warm voice about the things in life that we all encounter: about rampant consumerism and self-optimization, about secret desires and hide-and-seek, of pointless conflicts that lead nowhere, of hardened fronts and the desire for more harmony, in short: of injury and healing, of pain and pleasure. The music sounds as if Jamiroquai, Morcheeba and James Brown are working together: „Funky Trippin‘ Soul“ sums it up best, according to bandleader, Dascha Lüscher. Daschenka Project not only have a weakness for groove, trip hop and funk, but also for the eighties. That‘s why the EP „Spinning Round“ is combined with „The Eighties Session“ for their debut: five of their favourite songs from the 80s - Simple Minds‘ „Don‘t you (forget about me)“, „Sledgehammer“ by Peter Gabriel, Chris Isaaks „Wicked Game“, „Rebell Yell“ by Billy Idol and „Sign o‘ the Times“ – originally by Prince – all arrive with weightless feet in Daschenka Project fashion. With the releases of „Don‘t You“ and „Wicked Game“, Daschenka Project was able to increase the number of followers on social media from 300 to around 4500 within a few months. The two videos have over 300,000 views on Facebook alone. This is a remarkable success, and one can be curious about where the journey will go, after all, there are seven more songs in the pipeline. The collected work will be released under the title „Spinning Round“ at the end of May 2023 by the Basel label „Burning Sole“ on vinyl and digitally and on CD throughout the year. For the studio recordings, she was able to win over musicians such as Michael Chylewski, Jean-Pierre von Dach and Peter Wagner, who have performed on stage with Joss Stone, Seven, Kunz, Adrian Stern and Sina, among others. Despite being the driving force behind Daschenka Project, Dascha remains humble. In addition to her sense of grooving bass riffs and her multifaceted voice, she sees it as her strength to bring the right people together at the right time to let something evolve that gives people a feeling of togetherness and optimism.

“Gli Intoccabili” (The Untouchables) is a particular semi-unknown movie that belongs to a very crowded underground panorama made of international productions realized between the '60's and the '70's. Some few lucky ones immediately became 'instant classics', while many others remained in some dusty closed drawer for years, just to be rediscovered lately and being considered a cult. To this second category belongs this film directed by Giuliano Montaldo in the US and screened for the first time on April 1969. The cast is stellar, with a newborn Peter 'Lieutenant Columbo' Falk, John Cassavetes (who had just worked on Rosemary's Baby), Gena Rowlands and Florinda Bolkan as the main characters. The music is written by the omnipresent Ennio Morricone, who fluently moves from the western genre to the police/thriller one, making this one of his most varied works. As in the western field, we find here also one sung track about the main character, "La ballata di Hank McCain", while the rest of the soundtrack toggles between symphonic/epic moments and tensive/dissonant ones, going through more mellow and lounge atmospheres. These remarks make “Gli Intoccabili” an album that can be listened to in it's entirety without necessarily being linked to the images of the movie. One of many hidden gems by Morricone.

An EP single (Rca TBBO 1114) was originally released with the songs "Blue Jeans" and "A final step," performed by the group Cyan, which open sides A and B. For this LP we used the original tapes in full stereo that were preserved in the RCA archives. Nico Fidenco composed a pleasant soundtrack with a pastoral flair which is dominated by the main theme, a romantic ballad we hear in a faster and slower vocal version. It is then reprised with different instruments: cheerful and rhythmic flute, harmonica and orchestra, harmonica and strings with a touch of country, harpsichord, and classic guitar.

The Kotiomkin were born in 2012 from the idea of Enzo P. Zeder to compose soundtracks for imaginary films of which he himself is the author. The group is inspired by the great masters of Italian soundtracks of the '60s/'70s/'80s filtering everything through a wall of eclecticism, distortion, low frequencies and vibrations.
Buffalmacco and Fra' Tazio wake up in Hell, in the Circle of the Lustful. In this bad beginning, the two cronies begin to tell each other their latest vicissitudes, in order to remember what brought them to eat those strangely bitter apricots...
The fate of a nun seems to join the two damned souls. She hanged herself for shame in the cloister of the convent. But the woman's father does not accept his loss and, overcome by sorrow, evokes an infernal Fiend and puts his trust in Him. Among ancient rites, lustful violences, unholy events and dreadful misfortunes takes place this dark Renaissance story where Desperate Revenge feasts with Iglorious Death!
For the composition of their third work "Lo Albicocco Al Curaro - Decameron 666" (Subsound Records, 2018) there was a change of line up and the guitar was replaced by a massive use of vintage analogic synthesizers giving life to an album that crosses, transversally, different musical genres with an ever more relevant cinematographic imprint.
