In his long and successful career Ennio Morricone composed many dance songs as it was in fashion in the late sixties and early seventies. Themes that were usually not directly connected with the subjects of the soundtrack, but which were played in disco clubs, on jukeboxes, turntables and on the radio. This collection contains a selection of very cool pieces such as the brilliant main theme from Grand Slam (1967), the shake rock (opening credits) from Dario Argento’s classic Four Flies ON Grey Velvet (1971), the danceable from the noir film Violent City (1970), the beat version of the opening credits of “Pioggia sul tuo viso” by The Sorrows, from HOW I Learned TO Love Women (1966), “Per Vittorio (Bossa)” elegant bossa nova with flute and percussions from THE Success (1963), the tribal shake from I Cantori Moderni which winks at the Dies Irae from Garden OF Delights (1967), “Scuola di ballo al sole” a wild surf piece from THE Hawks AND THE Sparrows (1966), the supreme bossa nova from ONE Night AT Dinner (1969) with the super iconic voice of Edda Dell’Orso, the shake music of “Ostinazione al limone” from What Have YOU Done TO Solange? (1972), “Donnabossa” from Full Hearts AND Empty Pockets (1964), a delicate bossa nova with a prominent harpsichord.

The studies with Goffredo Petrassi and the association with Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza let the Avant-garde playing an important role in the career of Ennio Morricone, who wrote many contemporary pieces for himself, but then the author composed soundtracks where dissonance played a major role. For the Italian edition of the film Space: 1999 (1975), the cult British TV series, he composed a very neurotic Jazz with muted horns. Also for the science-fiction film THE Humanoid (1979) Ennio Morricone created hallucinating strings scores mixed with electronic effects. For Sacco E Vanzetti (1971) an electronic score by Walter Bianchi evokes all the drama of the undeserved death sentence of the two protagonists. Experimental music of great impact in the film and off the screen for famous thrillers such as THE Death Dealer (1974), Short Night OF Glass Dolls (1971). Avant-garde music has always been present in Elio Petri’s films set to music by Morricone such as Property IS NO Longer A Theft (1973). Avant-garde music in the noir cinema of Violent City (1970) and A Pure Formal- ITY (1994) and in auteur films such as Garden OF Delights (1967) and Sarah’s Last MAN (1972).

Ennio Morricone is known throughout the world for the Italian Western genre, but most of all for his famous soundtracks for Sergio Leone’s masterpieces which have entered into popular culture on an international level, and here represented by iconic themes such as A Fistful OF Dollars (1964), FOR A FEW Dollars More (1965), Once Upon A Time IN THE

West (1968), A Fistful OF Dynamite (1971) with extraordinary soloists such as the coro dei cantori Moderni di ales- sandroni, the whistle of Alessandro Alessandroni, the harmonica of Franco De Gemini, and Edda Dell’Orso’s soprano voice. For the Westerns starring the legendary Giuliano Gemma – A Pistol FOR Ringo and THE Return OF Ringo – both directed by Duccio Tessari, he wrote the songs “Angel Face” (with lyrics by Gino Paoli) and “The Return of Ringo” respectively performed by Maurizio Graf with pop music arrangements that were popular at the time. With PistolS Don’t Argue (1964) Morricone experiments with a still undefined pre-Leone sound, Death Rides A Horse (1967) presents a main theme for guitars ostinatos, exotic flutes and choir. For Life IS Tough, EH Providence? Ennio Morricone creates a theme that mixes religious elements for a female choir with modern arrangements. And A Fist Goes West (1981) a late Western in which the composer himself interprets the Indian’s screams.

The soundtrack of one of the most sinister, disturbing, controversial and original horror films of the last twenty years is finally available on a physical format!

"The Human Centipede" is a film conceived, produced and directed by Dutch director Tom Six, which tells the story of the wicked Doctor Heiter, a manic German surgeon who kidnaps three people with the aim of surgically sewing them together to form a 'human centipede'. The movie has won many awards at various horror film festivals, and its delirious plot has become part of the urban subculture, thanks to numerous citations in TV series (including The Simpsons and South Park), films and songs.

The sinister and spine-chilling electronic soundtrack created by Patrick Savage and Holeg Spies perfectly reflects the morbid atmosphere of a film that "occupies a world where the stars don't shine". This release contains the music of the first film of "The Human Centipede" series, conceived right from the start as a trilogy that began in 2009 with a 'First Sequence' and followed in 2011 and 2015 respectively by the 'Full' and 'Final sequence'.

This first yellow vinyl edition, enclosed in a gatefold cover with artwork by Ed Harrington, contains also a very special add-on: a temporary tattoo with the illustration the centipede project designed by Dr. Heiter himself!

White Vinyl - 1970's Cult BBC TV Original Soundtrack - First Ever Release -
Written by Paddy Kingsland and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop The
critically acclaimed BBC TV series, The Changes, was first broadcast by the
BBC in in 1975, accompanied by music from electronic pioneer Paddy
Kingsland, who wrote and recorded the score while working at the BBC
Radiophonic Workshop. The 10 part series, adapted from Peter Dickinson's
book trilogy, was perfectly suited to Kingsland's seminal electronic style,
following a teenager living in a Britain where machinery and technology emit
a terrible, all-enveloping noise, causing the population to destroy them.
Kingsland used an early synthesiser, the EMS Synthi 100 (which was
apparently so large, they had to remove the doors of the studio to get it
through), overlaid with live instruments including sitar, percussion, tabla, flute
and horns to create a soundtrack which is indicative of exactly how the BBC
Radiophonic Workshop's early output influenced and informed the popular
electronic music of the Eighties and beyond. Kingsland went on to write the
music for (amongst others) The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Radio and
TV series), Doctor Who and Around the World in 80 Days, as well as
composing for the KPM music library, who issued eight albums of his work.
An LP of his Radiophonic Workshop output, "The Fourth Dimension" , was
released by BBC Records in 1973.

giallo score by Roberto Nicolosi, composed for
the experimental thriller by Mario Caiano in
1972. Previously issued on Fontana in 1973 with
the title "Atmosfera", this is certainly one of the
top wanted Italian jazz LP for any serious
collector, featuring a five-star collective of marvelous musicians such as Giovanni
Tommaso (bass), Franco Tonani (drums), Angelo Baroncini (guitar), Antonello Vannucchi
(organ), Franco D'Andrea (piano), Gianni Basso (Tenor Saxophone), Dino Piana
(trombone), Cicci Santucci (trumpet). The result is a pysch and dark jazz- funk sound that
perfectly fits the anxious descent looking human psyche's labyrinth.
One of the best, still underrated, Italian soundtracks ever and one of the most
unforgettable Italian jazz sessions of the 70s. Another lost Italian score retrieved by Four
Flies Records.

Steven Soderbergh’s take on Stanislaw Lem’s influential sci-fi tome Solaris was incredibly polarizing at the time. Some didn’t want to see it simply because it starred heart-throb George Clooney in what is essentially a mostly solo role, some didn’t appreciate it in light of legendary Russian director Andrei Tarkovsky’s overtly spiritual take on the same book. Soderbergh says of Martinez's pivotal role and his score, "I relied on it not only to unify the film emotionally, but to import actual narra-tive information." Martinez himself describes it as "one of the few soundtracks of mine that I can still stand to listen to.

I also think it was a score that made the greatest contribution to the film for which it was written." Described by BBC Music as "A brooding slow, meditative work" and a musical journey that "leaves the listener floating free" by Soundtrack.net, "Solaris' is an evocative and highly seductive score that still fully resonates with the listener more than a decade after it was first released.

Those that did manage to take it in would have noticed on thing in particular though – composer Cliff Martinez‘s haunting and deeply influential soundtrack. Percussive, but anchored with a slow, deeply affecting synthesized bass line throughout, the soundtrack served as a nudge in the right direction for drone-lovers and ambient types, and still sounds fresh even now. It’s hardly surprising then that Portishead’s Geoff Barrow has had the good sense to make sure it finally gets pressed to wax through his Invada imprint.

Following nearly two years of global touring in support of their adventurous and acclaimed album, The Wilderness (2016), Explosions In The Sky paused on the future to reflect on the past. Celebrating their 20th year as a band with a pair of remastered reissues of early beloved classics - How Strange, Innocence (2000) and The Rescue (2005) - they embarked on a memorable series of anniversary concerts in 2019. It was around then that Explosions In The Sky was approached to craft the score to a new documentary about a place with which, as native Texans, they were very familiar: Big Bend National Park. That documentary, Big Bend: The Wild Frontier of Texas, premiered on PBS in the United States as well as on a variety of networks in other countries in early 2021. The hour-long film intimately follows the lives of native animals amid expansive aerial views of the iconic desert landscape that makes up one of the grandest natural wonders in the world. The band set these sights to an inspired, melodic, and meaningful blend of acoustic guitar, slide guitar, strings, piano, bells, and drums that feels as alive and diverse - and vast and lonely -as the place it depicts. Big Bend (An Original Soundtrack for Public Television) takes that mesmerizing score and recontextualizes it as a standalone album. Those brief cues have been expanded and transformed into a thoughtful, gorgeous full-length album that recalls some of the band's most magical and memorable moments from their storied history. Bullet Train is the 2022 American action-comedy film by the Deadpool 2-director David Leitch and is based on the 2010 novel Maria Beetle, written by Kōtarō Isaka. In Bullet Train, Brad Pitt stars as Ladybug, an unlucky assassin determined to do his job peacefully after one too many gigs gone off the rails. Fate, however, may have other plans, as Ladybug's latest mission puts him on a collision course with lethal adversaries from around the globe – all with connected, yet conflicting, objectives – on the world's fastest train...and he's got to figure out how to get off.

The film features a number of original tracks. Most notably, the film contains Japanese language covers of "Stayin' Alive" by Bee Gees and "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. Composer Dominic Lewis noted that the film's soundtrack represents "all vibe and no technique".

The soundtrack for Bullet Train is available on vinyl and comes in different editions, all based on the characters in the movie. All editions include a 4-page booklet, but each edition contains an exclusive Bullet Train boarding pass with corresponding picture of the character. Original Motion Picture Soundtrack / 140g. My Little Pony: A New Generation galloped its way onto Netflix with critical acclaim 9/24/21 and the music is an integral part of the film. The film earned the #1 spot in the Kids section on Netflix in 86 markets globally and the #1 spot for all movies regardless of genre/demographic in 20 countries. The first week of release, the soundtrack amassed over 25,000 Shazams and 3 million streams across DSPs. Its first vinyl release, on opaque purple vinyl, is for RSD Black Friday 2022.

The soundtrack features seven original songs varying across genres, with pony characters voiced by Vanessa Hudgens, Kimiko Glenn, James Marsden, and Sofia Carson. Original songs include “It’s Alright,” written and produced by Parisi and performed by teen heartthrob Johnny Orlando, and “Together” written and produced by Aaron Pearce and performed by Callie Twisselman. The soundtrack was executive-produced by Grammy Award-winner Ron Fair (Christina Aguilera, Keyshia Cole, Lady Gaga, Fergie, etc) and features four songs written by composers/lyricists Alan Schmuckler and Michael Mahler (Diary of a Wimpy Kid). The first single, “Glowin’ Up,” was written by Jenna Andrews (co-writer of the biggest song of the year, Bts’ “Butter”), and produced by Fair, with vocals by Sofia Carson.
