After the success of the two Laurel Aitken previous singles backed by Mighty Megatons band, on which the Spanish band completes old unfinished masters from the legendary 'HIgh Priest Of Reggae', Liquidator Music releases now the third 7”. On the A side is a cover from The Paragons ‘Only A Smile’ rock steady classic, an elegant interpretation by the genuine Godfather Of Ska from Jamaica who pays tribute to his beloved singer John Holt. On the B side we can find ‘On The Plantation', a Roots Rock Reggae killer tune. Laurel produced, along his career, some conscious numbers, even rastafari and panafricanist but, probably, this one is the most militant along his legacy. Mighty Megatons has done a great job showing their versatility among the classic Jamaican sounds. A must for any Reggae and Rocksteady collector.

This album from an Italian-based production outfit on Aloe Vera Records celebrates the label's early years and the unique style of one of the imprint's key acts, The Officinalis's. They were known for classics like 'Si Comme' Si' and for blending. Naples and Jamaican musical cultures. Formed in Barcelona in 1989, these pioneers of Ska in the Spanish state played throughout Europe and shared the stage with ska and reggae heavyweights such as Laurel Aitken, The Skatalites or Toots and the Maytals. After 30 years of activity, they decided to take a break in 2019. Now back on stage they present the first of a series of reissues of their albums in Vinyl format. Barbarossaplatz was originally released in 1999 in CD format (K-Industria) and on vinyl (Groover Records) in 2000, Barbarossaplatz was their third studio album.
