Princess Diana of Wales, by London-based Australian Laila Sakini, is A Colourful Storm's latest and most curious project. Someone, no one, a notion, a feeling... Sakini offers clues but no simple answers. Vocal-led pieces 'Still Beach' and 'Fragments of Blue' are brittle and intoxicating, contemplating recklessness and unfulfillment of a past life: "Watching the future wash away / Giving it up to have this day". She studies closeness and, incredulous of the feelings that emerge, wonders if detachment is impermanent. She catalogues these emotions as a series of memories, colours and images. 'Evaporate', sedated and hushed, is a secret confession and ode to resolution, albeit, fatally, only a temporary one: "Take some form / Later on when I can do this / When we can do this / Together".

Behind the album is a stage of dubwise disorientations evoking in-between states of the everyday. 'Swing' and 'Closer' are woozy and dreamlike, their voices summoning ghosts of fortunes past while 'Exhaust' finds an aperture in our protagonist's daydream. Chewie, real name Nestor Estrada, is a guitarist and music producer native to Los Angeles, California. Producing and composing music for over a decade, he’s also the lead sound designer at Output, a software instrument company. Chewie produced Samus & Chill with Logic Pro using custom-built synthesizers, orchestral sound libraries, and vast textures created from his eurorack and guitar. While Chewie’s been a guitarist most of his life, his piano chops also shine through across the album.

Samus & Chill features 12 tracks from the Metroid game series, including tracks from Metroid, Super Metroid, Fusion, Prime, Prime 3, Other M, and Samus Returns. Compositions by Hirokazu Tanaka, Kouichi Kyuma, Kenji Yamamoto, Minako Hamano, Masaru Tajima, and Akira Fujiwara. Compositions are licensed and used with permission.

Tone Benjaminz is a multi-talented emcee, producer, songwriter, and voice actor who goes all out with gritty, multi-syllabic, aggressive lyrics over DJ Stress' hard hitting and grimey beats. This "City For Sale" album is the first time I've produced an entire album on my own including making every beat. Even Donwill's "One Word No Spaces" LP (which I'm credited as the producer) was co produced and co arranged by Donwill, (thats something we always wanted to do). City For Sale is another personal goal for me. I've been afraid to do an entire album alone until now....if this shit is wack its all my fault. With that said this is my calling card album. This is the one I will hopefully be known for when its all said and done.

Tresor Notional is a new Montreal-based record label dedicated to reissuing long lost gems recorded in Quebec (Canada). Their inaugurational release will be o 180g vinyl-only official reissue of the 1970 cult classic “maple syrup porn” soundtrack “Viens, mon amour’ (Love in a 4 letter World), composed by Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek TV series, Jean- Pierre Ferland's Soleil, Curious Georges) and Dean Morgan.
Between 1968 and 1974, Quebec was exposed to unabashed exploitation cinema. Erotic and taboo, these B-movies took on the name of films de fesses (titty films) or “maple syrup porn”. The genre produced some of the most delectable and collectable soundtracks at the time while “Viens, mon amour” easily stands out as one of the sexiest example ever recorded in La Belle Province! Original pressings are scarce and have been highly sought-after for decades by collectors from around the world. This remastered reissue highlights every sensual, psychedelic and
funky side, where rare grooves mix with delicate pop songs and Moog- infused, fuzz-driven titles with hard-hitting brass. A true gem for cinephiles, DJs and all diggers of exotic sounds... with a distinctive Québécois feel.
This first-ever reissue also includes extensive liner notes, rare artwork and exclusive commentaries from the composers. Pressed at 1000 copies, the album will be released in June 2019.

Multi-reedist Tony Coe was born in 1934, four years after guitarist Derek Bailey. He cut his teeth as a career jazzman with Humphrey Lyttleton, before an extended stint with the Kenny Clarke/Francy Boland Big Band. On this rare 1979 duo outing, he sticks to clarinet. And though that instrument has an illustrious jazz pedigree, Coe’s playing here is something else.

It’s worth noting that the clarinettist has also played under the baton of arch-modernist Pierre Boulez, the kind of composer Derek Bailey enjoyed taking to task in his book Improvisation. You might think the Frenchman’s uncompromising serialism and the free playing Bailey defended with such passion all his life would have little in common, yet both men were hugely influenced by Anton Webern. It’s an influence you can hear right through Bailey’s career in his obsessive exploration of tight parcels of registrally-fixed pitches, notably those trademark ringing harmonics. Meanwhile, Coe’s meandering semitones and sinuous arabesques here recall both Boulez’s clarinet writing in Domaines, and the harmonic world of Boulez’s own teacher Olivier Messiaen.

Still, no traditional classical musical notation could ever render the extraordinary rhythmic subtlety and timbral complexity of this music. It’s at one and the same time dazzlingly virtuosic — Coe and Bailey are on stellar form throughout, and have enough sense to, yes, accompany each other where needs be — and supremely lyrical and spacious.

Tang), Sadat X (Brand Nubian), Rock (Heltah Skeltah), Conway the

Sav Killz, Mazzi & Stryfe for the album's guest appearances.
ABOUT SOLOMON CHILDS:
Rapper and Staten Island native Solomon Childs (born Walbert Ryan
Dale in 1975) became affiliated with the mighty Wu-Tang Clan through
his family ties to god-brother Cappadonna and cousin Ghostface Killah.
Solomon contributed to various Wu-Tang related classics throughout
the late '90s and early 2000s, including verses on Cappadonna's The
Pillage, RZA's Bobby Digital, Ghostface Killah's Supreme Clientele and
others. In the early 2000s he was a member of the Ghostface affiliated
group Theodore Unit, as well as appearing on tracks by other artists
and working on his own releases.
In 2016 Solomon was shot twice in a drive-by shooting while out
shopping in Staten Island. The rapper underwent multiple surgeries
but survived the attempt on his life.
"The Prophet and the King" is Solomon's second album from when this
tragic incident occurred.
ABOUT TONE SPLIFF:
Los Angeles based DJ and Producer Tone Spliff (born Anthony John
Mucitelli in 1981) is grounded in an east coast sound and steeped in
tradition with an ever present emphasis on the DJ/Turntablist.
Tone links up with Solomon Childs to deliver an instant classic Hip Hop
album, sounding like a beast on the drum machine and the 1’s and 2’s,
it’s apparent Tone Spliff has some skills to flex on this album.
The beat-creator, originally from Utica, NY, has made his mark in the
underground Hip Hop community by working with artists such as
Royce Da 5'9, Sean Price, Krumbsnatcha, Big Shug, Planet Asia,
Apathy, Slaine, Ed OG, Skyzoo, Big Noyd, El Da Sensei, Saigon and
many more. Songs from his previous albums have made a worldwide
buzz by landing on popular sites and radio shows like: The Source
