Neurotwin is a Trilogy:

Part I In the fight against Alzheimer's, epilepsy, schizophrenia and other diseases characterized by an imbalance in neuronal activity, there are chemical weapons, such as those that try to prevent the protein fragments known as beta-amyloid plaques from developing in the cerebral cortex , and physical, such as electrical stimulation that allow to restore the functionality of brain cells. This last resort, which has already been shown to be effective in modifying the activity of the cerebral cortex, is today a weapon of general intervention. Converting it to precision requires the development of individualized and predictive brain models that allow identifying where and how much to stimulate each patient. To achieve this, an international European team is working on the creation of virtual replicas of the most unknown organ in the body: the Neurotwin project.

According to recent research, the decrease in power in the neuronal oscillations of the gamma band of the cerebral cortex (a pattern whose frequency ranges between 20 and 50 Hertz) favors the development of protein fragments related to Alzheimer's.

Transcranial application of weak electrical currents has proven to be an effective and painless way to modulate brain activity without side effects.

The objective is to create complete computational models of the brain with real data of living beings (human patients) and that allow to anticipate and specify the effects of non-invasive stimulation techniques on neurological mechanisms.

Part II The Neurotwin project is the successor to an initiative that encompasses many projects called Virtual Physiological Human, which was based on the idea of creating a complete model of a human being on a computer, to perform non-invasive tests at the computational level. Now the concept has been derived to "Digital Twin", which seeks not only to have an equal computational model for everyone, but to create "twin" digital models of each patient in order to be able to make personalized medicine from the genome of each individual. Specifically, in our project, we have focused on digital twin brains, which would be representations of patient brains created from data extracted with current neuroimaging and brain activity monitoring techniques.

Pancratio: In the early 2000s, Korg invented, engineered and distributed four little instruments called Electribes. A drum machine, one analog modeling synthesizer, a sampler and a music workstation respectively called ER1, EA1, ES1 and EM1. Initially I always found it very difficult to use them in my studio, because they weren’t really fitting with the sound and the workflow. Between march and may 2020, I stopped worrying about trying to force the Electribes into the setup: i just put them together and started jamming, recording several tracks without using anything else apart from these little boxes and their own effects… eventually sampling a few things along the way with my headphones into the ES1. The title, as well as the aesthetic of the project, are inspired by a future-retro approach to early electronics and 70s Italian product advertisement.

This legendary Italian disco duo from Argentine Patagonia has collected a vast amount of clues that are totally mysterious and lost on the seabed. In this second part we find: A1 “Galactic Alliance” classic Italodisco bomb of the time, originally released in 2010 on CD by “System nova records”. the A2 cut “Haroid, a fully demo track, which was finalized for the ep, very special for jumping into the water!

The other side, we find B1 “Pit Box Mens” blessed by Federico Moura, The Force finds “la forza del mare” in this mythical track with direct influences from “Virus”. A timeless track without a doubt! “Remore Car Babe” was originally released on clear 10” via Temple Records NYC in 1997 and is now remastered by the man himself for our 2018 ears. Re-issued on 12” black vinyl for more gain and better audio quality. Jammin’ Unit is not only my brother but one of the most prolific producer of electronic music since the early days of techno. He is one half of legendary electronic super group Air Liquide and made his way into history books with tracks like “If The Was No Gravity” and “Revelation” lately featured on Nina Kraviz - Fabric 91 mix.

Surface Air is the lovechild of a long relationship between Malka Tuti & Black Merlin. After remixing Tapan and Shari Vari for the label, as well as being part of Spectral Empire who released Iron Muscle with us on 2018, George has always been an inspiration for us, both sonically and spiritually. His new record, Surface Air, in which the A-side is accompanied with vocals from Dallas artist Aura Nox, is a slow burning deep record for the late emo hours of the night, for you trippy after hour or your late night drive. On the B-side you can also find a Remix from an artist we’ve been following for years here in MT, and that when his name came up in a conversation with George (bm) as a possible remixer, excitement levels went through the roof. The Remix Wata Igarashi delivered is a stripped down epic ambient track, ala late 90’s Pete Namlook endeavours with some 2022’s Wata Igarashi unique sonic aesthetics.

While staying true to his sound, the artist invites the listener on a journey, reminiscent of a ceremony where opposing forces reach equilibrium. Light and darkness, hope and despair, instinct and reason, humanity and technology… It is between these tensions that this journey seeks to find a balance. The richness of these themes is represented through four distinct and skillfully crafted tracks that blend powerful drums and immersive atmospheres. Finally, the journey ends with Alexey Volkov’s interpretation of “The Cry of Diomedee” almost entirely performed with live instruments, adding another color to this already rich ep.

Speicher is going back to its classic double header split EP format. Hunter/game are no strangers to Kompakt, having released a number of singles and the “Adaptation” album back in 2016. “Reload” was written in cooperation with Buenos Aires based U S H N U and it’s a total corker of a proto trance inspired track – the kind of trance that would have graced Dorian Gray’s Sunday morning dancefloor.

We’re extremely happy to finally welcome the ever excellent Bawrut to our family. Hailing from Madrid, he has been one of the most creative forces in recent years, carving his own niche of percussion-heavy, psychedelic techno. “clap” is an unpredictable monster, taking so many twists and turns, causing such confusion that your synapses will give up making sense out of the chaos and book a flight to the Bahamas.

The first powerful release of Black Mojito comes with 5 hammering original tracks by Spacetime and 3 additional remixes by Lucinee, Nordrose and Mod1fly which blur the line considerably between various subgenres. The full release will be available digitally on Bandcamp joined by a selection of 4 tracks on Vinyl. The A-Side of the record opens with the noisy and lazer-sharp industrial-fueled original track Chromosphera by Spacetime, followed by Lucinees pulsating trance-influenced remix which is a mental and hypnotizing journey. Side B leads you into deeper shades with Spacetimes original track Second Personality. Ranging between oscillating tones and clap fueled percussions it is accompanied by Mod1flys jungle-break-beat rework of Chromosphera and Second Personality which is packed with thunderous energy and broken drums.

OMEN Recordings is off running to the industrial techno races againand this third release has already been gaining traction around the globe with high anticipation and support from many respected producers and DJs alike. The Puppetskin EP written and produced by German and French artists RENDERED with remixes by American producers BLACK ASTEROID and AXKAN is off to a great start.
RENDERED starts off strong with the title track“Puppetskin" (A1), with strong breakbeat kicks, thrashing snares and rich synth lines that are melodic and spacey. The dancefloor will surely love the Charles Manson samples. “Nightmoves” (A2) also heads the pack with shuffling kicks while rich, minor-tuned pads take you on a persistent journey. About half way through, you will be moved by a 4/4 pattern that sneaks in and will be a favorite for the dancers. BLACK ASTEROID’s remix of “Puppetskin” (B2) does not disappoint as signature Black Asteroid textures and rhythms come alive in this rendition. Although it has rounded, full soundscapes that sound perfect for a large venue, its pumping, hypnotizing bass lines and screeching sirens keep you pulled into the darkness. AXKAN stays in the pack with his earthshattering remix of “Puppetskin” (B1) by starting slow with a profound intro to then push the audio boundaries with his powerful kick and bassline, to gain more and more strength with vocal samples, distorted drums and FX. AXKAN uses every stem of the original in such a creative way to help win the race.

Sheffield-based Denham Audio make their Lobster Theremin debut with an incredible 5 tracker of breaks and bass, backed with a club-fuelled remix from Maruwa.

EP opener 'Feel The Panic' sets the pace, crunchy drums with scorching acid basslines and old rave esque vocal hooks, merging into a dancefloor driven weapon. 'Volt' injects a punch, chopped up drum sequences with floating vocals and pulsating synth lines, one for the early hours of the dance.

On the flip side Denham Audio leads with a drum driven roller 'Bobby Wobbler', breaks and beats soar and transform into a weighty number.

'Check 1' blends classic rave esque sound pallets with punchy kick drums and clean, crisp synth lines. Maruwa's remix of 'Check 1' showcases her incredible ability to create productions destined to do the business in the clubs, hands in the air pads play gracefully with the drum elements from the original production.

Ṣonuga is interested in the intersections of deep textural soundscapes, layered percussion and shuffled rhythms. His debut EP, 'Airing' explores themes of sound and space influenced by his architectural studies, while also exploring and paying homage to contemporary dub techno. Turbo Recordings presents its grandest achievement yet, a reimagining of Plastikman’s 1998 magnum opus ‘Consumed’, Transformed as a new collaborative composition between original artist Richie Hawtin and musical genius Chilly Gonzales… This is an album three decades in the making, brought into the world by Executive Producer Tiga. A masterpiece of restraint, depth, and music as architectural vision, ‘Consumed’ was profoundly influential, defining the soon-to-emerge minimal movement. Shortly after its 20th anniversary, Chilly Gonzales was inspired to compose accompanying piano pieces (counterparts) for each of the tracks and shared them with Tiga, who became the conduit between both artists and led the project to fruition on his label. Hawtin mixed the new combined work, allowing each artist their own space within the project, more of a sonic conversation between them than a conventional collaboration. Consumed in Key will be available digitally and as a deluxe triple vinyl LP on April 1st, 2022. The artwork is a reinterpretation of the original album’s, flipped to black and white and with the cutout size transposed to the dimensions of a piano key, the die-cut in the white outersleeve revealing a shiny black foil stamp on the black innersleeves. The product is available both in regular black and special white vinyl. In an effort to be eco-friendly, the vinyl and packaging were made using recycled materials.

A.O.A. encompasses an aquatic theme experimenting with a variation of ambient, aquatic sounds and electronic based production. This album was produced to feel like a soundtrack or score to a movie. His childhood love of fish and aquariums, the aquatic theme and sound of the album inspired Drummer B to use the Belle Isle Aquarium as a visual backdrop. “I loved fish and aquariums as a kid. I’m also an Aquarius born February 6. Aquarius is an air sign and astrological symbol is the water barrier. This inspired the album and stream title “A.O.A” Age of Aquarius,” Drummer B pays homage to legendary Detroit techno group Drexciya by accompanying artwork from Abu Qadim Haqq illustrator of The Book Of Drexciya Vol 1.

We're excited to welcome a debut on the label from one of our favourite post-millennium techno producers, Brian Gibbs, aka Gunjack!!! A string of dynamite early releases on Birmingham's Sheep Records and his own Deafmosaic imprint, set this LA producer out from the crowd in the early to mid '00s, quickly amassing a long list of in-your-face EPs across a range of scene leading labels. His dark, percussive techno stylings coupled with a larger than life character made him one of the community's most colourful personalities, who we've always greatly appreciated. Renewing his deep connection with techno in recent times and following on from a run of high-pressure dub techno offerings via his new label and collective Dubwars, Gunjack supplies us with four crunching club tracks in "Purple Room Trax Volume 1". Here he employs spiraling FM leads on the a-side with "Arson '78" and "Plastic Horns" while alternating between the suspenseful sirens of "Stormbells" and swarming, looped up power of "Liquid Crystals" on the flip. Unlike many one take live techno recordings, Gunjack's meticulously tweaked style leaves no fat, with a dynamic force that'll send the dancefloor into pandemonium. For fans of early Downwards/Zet, Black Nation etc.

Kompakt welcomes 2021 with a new member that many of you will recognise. For over 3 decades, Orlando Voorn has been a force in dance music like few others. One of the first Dutch producers to establish a connection between Detroit and Amsterdam (check “Game One” his collaboration with Juan Atkins for Metroplex). He has recorded under a trove of alias that include Fix, Frequency, Format to name a few. Orlando Voorn brings his extensive knowledge of Techno and House to the forefront for his Kompakt debut “Internal Destination”. We offer up the title track ahead of the 3 track EP’s February 18 release date. Spacial sounds connect perfectly together – the playfulness of the track feels like each moment is caught in mid-air but the beat keeps it all moving forward without hesitation. “Ride The Wave” rounds out this EP – an electro loop is serenaded by a funked up synth melody that jams to the drum in the most soulful of ways.

Purgate is the solo work of Frederic Arbour, one half of Industrial Techno duo Stärker and also works under the name Visions, creating Deep Ambient Atmospherics. As Purgate, Arbour explores purely analog circuitry through dense layers of treated modular systems and sparse, pulsing rhythmic structures. Monolithic, abrasive and atmospheric, he exerts the elemental properties of sound and the textural possibilities of signal processing as an exploration of the inherent forces, and physicality, of sound. His live A/V performance has been created with long time friend and experimental film maker Karl Lemieux (Live film projectionist for God Speed You Black Emperor), keeping a focus on all analog mediums with live projections of abstract layers of decomposed 16mm film experiments. Arbour is also the founder of the Cyclic Law and Aesthetical labels.

Posthuman makes his Food Music debut with the infectious “You’re Mine”. The Frank DeWulf-esque stabs and swagger from this tune have already had many "ID?” requests from people since airing on Rinse FM and a DJmag social media video over the last few weeks and months. Posthuman has taken his sound to a fresh area which is complimented by remixes by none other than Luke Vibert, with an ice-cool swung-groove, Black Girl/White Girl with a full on pounding Techno workout and on the digital package, newcomers Mac & Ward do the big room House thing to perfection! In addition we’ve included “Find Me On The Edge of Town”.. an acid-kissed piece of Techno which sits the cherry ontop of an awesome release for us on Food.

Anthony Di Franco (Ramleh, Skullflower, AX) debuts on L.I.E.S. with his infamous JFK project. Starting in 1987, Di Franco was immersed in the burgeoning UK "tape exchange by mail" scene which fostered many different strains of extreme and experimental sounds being developed during this time. Initially working in a murky, decayed industrial sound, as the project has progressed to the the present, JFK has transformed the early approach into a now razor sharp, hi- fidelity, punishing wall of sound that still envelops the listener in the same way as his early music but now with a refined and massive sonic attack. Throughout Avalanche Zone's six tracks we get Di Franco in top form alternating from blistering machine gun rhythms to stand still slow beat metallic crushers with synthetic electrified drama forcing the air from the speakers demonstrating full on sound pressure. This is a welcome addition to the JFK catalog and further expands how the artists vision has developed as the years have passed. Complete and total heaviness!

Fünfzehn + 1 is a commemorative compilation celebrating 16 years of Ostgut Ton – and the first glimpses of light at the end of a long dark tunnel for parent club Berghain.

Originally planned for release in 2020, the music focuses on the interwoven nature of the label and the club in its multitude of different spaces and musical facets. Ostgut Ton artists and close affiliates worked together in pairs to make music dedicated to five different floors, each represented by a specific 12" vinyl. The result is a diverse selection of sometimes functional, other times more abstract sonic tributes; musical homages to spaces they have both influenced and been influenced by.

With the pandemic having forced the club to close temporarily, the collaborative nature of the 5x12" boxset represents an attempt to transcend varying degrees of isolation and to wrestle with memories of music and space that had been inaccessible. But certainly not forgotten.

We are excited to welcome back Bruno Sanchioni, the creative force behind legendary projects like Age of Love, and BBE. As a pioneer in the electronic music scene, Bruno has left a lasting impact over the decades, especially through his work at Diki Records with the renowned Emmanuel Top.

Robert Babicz started his musical career under the Rob Acid moniker in 1992 and this triple 12“ vinyl pack is a compilation of 12 of his most essential tracks of all times. In this bundle you can find the iconic club tracks like „Homeless Part 1“ and „Android“, rare material like „Herz aus Gold“ Rob released on Force Inc. and his melodic acid UK chart hit „Happy answer“. But also Rob´s collaboration with Marc Romboy „Wall of sound“ and of course the deep, dark and pumping Detroit techno influenced „Acid Warrior“. This vinyl package was drafted in collaboration between Rob, Marc Romboy and their Marotopia community who were responsible for the tracklisting and name of this release.

Clock DVA is one of the pivotal groups of industrial music. Founded more than forty years ago, the instrumental outfit has seen a contemporary partnership of electronic experimentation forged between Adi Newton and Maurizio Martinucci since 2010. It is their source material that proves fertile ground for two remixes, remixes by two heavyweights of electronic music. Atom™ delivers his re-imagining of “De-Konstructor.” A lone string is met by snapping snares as an alluring, yet cold, melody unfolds. Newton’s raspy throaty words rise, a stark prescient poetry countered by angular acid-twisted keys before samples buckle and loop. The second stalwart of electronics drafted in is Scanner for his reframing of “Rayonist Refraction #1.” A ghostly female voice haunts a backdrop of electrical fizz and voluminous cracks of shuddering thunder. Guitar strings tremble in this eerie landscape with a smattering of spoken text bringing solace to this hostile environment. Music for an all to immediate reality.

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Plastikman, aka Richie Hawtin, has remastered his groundbreaking second album, Musik, from the original tapes for a new limited bio-vinyl edition.

The record was first released in November 1994 through NovaMute and Plus 8, following the debut Plastikman album, Sheet One (1993). A masterclass in minimal techno, Musik quickly propelled Hawtin to new levels of success. The release followed Plastikman's first-ever live performance in a black vinyl-encased room at a semi-derelict Packard Plant in Detroit, where Hawtin was central to the burgeoning underground scene.

Before the full album hit the shelves, the track 'Plastique' (which was later described by Q as "...the flipside to Hawtin's early singles, all ticking percussion, feline acid tweaks, and cushioned sub-bass") set the stage for a more dance floor-friendly album, albeit one with an unsettling and sinister side.

The album, described by The Guardian as "music as you've never heard it before" and by The Wire, who made it one of their Albums of the Year, as "... a masterpiece", defined a moment in techno that still echoes today.

Now, 30 years later, the album has been remastered from the original tapes, reminding us why Plastikman is a name that still resonates and that the album's intensity - on and off the dance floor - has lost none of its potency in the intervening years.

Repress of a Zanias’s Into The All On Fleisch Records.

300 Clear White Marble Zanias, has been hard at work over the years as part of many projects including the Dark Entries affiliated ‘Linea Aspera’ and minimal wave band ‘Keluar’ with Sid Lamar. Since then, she has been curating ‘Fleisch’, a club series and record label releasing music from the likes of Schwefelgelb, Forces and Kontravoid. As a solo artist, she has released her debut EP ‘To The Core’ in 2016 and has been collaborating with some of electronic music’s most respected figures. Appearing on Dax J’s critically acclaimed ‘Offending Public Morality’ LP, as well as providing vocals on Black Rain’s ‘Dark Pool’ album on Blackest Ever Black and working with Ancient Methods on last year’s ‘Andromeda’ which was released on Candela Rising. ‘Into The All’ is the culmination of extensive recording and experimentation. It charts a journey of psychospiritual evolution, from an unconscious state through to death and enlightenment. Inspired by the works of Ken Wilber and Yuval Noah Harari, it expresses both a personal journey and one that applies to all of humanity. Label owner Xpb1 starts his recording career with a crepuscular two tracker of post-industrial, spacious reflections in a dark and dystopian, yet melancholic, hauntological tone. The two tracks have been constructed over a base layer of minimalistic percussion and are dominated by a heavy and menacing sub-bass. The architecture of rhythm and pressure is drenched in the echo of lonely siren laments in androgynous voice, while doppler effects pierce through the track mimicking the light flicking in a night train ride. The two constructions fall somewhere between the cracks of post-dubstep and industrial with the added cinematic rigidness, and tunnel vision of techno. The record has been mastered by Rashad Becker, cut by Dubplates and Mastering and hand stamped with golden ink on a black label 180g vinyl.

12" vinyl printed sleeve, includes insert and 3 stickers. Ninth reference from the label 'Kunda Rec', elegance, forcefulness, and sonic diversity. For this occasion, on Side A we have the collaboration of two high-caliber artists: 'Sexual Relates Vs Vikks'. Both bring us 'Torment', a powerful and dark track, using the original vocals from 'Repulsión' by the Guatemalan group 'Obsolescencia programada'. Next, a freshly baked formation: 'BLACKOUTband', with a post-apocalyptic electro e.b.m theme, a true dance floor banger titled 'No Way Out'. On Side B, we have R1D, a producer from Madrid, who takes us on an astral journey that teleports us to ancient ages of the earth through pure tekno tribe.

Lastly, Hiry, a well-known figure in the free party scene in La Mancha. He brings us an epic track full of Hardcore sound at 140 bpms for tough tracks and nostalgic for the old times.

Kincaid returns to Control Freak for a main label release with the Sugar EP - 4 sac- charine, club-ready weapons from a producer at the top of his game. Drawing on an array of club sounds from trance to UK garage and the best in con- temporary leftfield techno, the EP marks our most rave-ready statement yet, with percussive drum tracks and soaring euphoric pads - carefully crafted for dark rooms and packed dancefloors. On the A-Side, Air-ism and Sugar bubble with peak time energy - a pair of secret weapons which haven’t left our record bags for months now. B1 E is a pounding, energetic 4x4 pumper, whilst Sycamore closes things out with moody, shuffling drums and powerful low end pressure. Ferdinger returns to his own label with an eagerly anticipated 8th vinyl release, an EP titled "Second Nature." This captivating EP features two original tracks from Ferdinger himself, as well as two remarkable collaborations with renowned artists Introversion and JakoJako, who shouldn't require any introduction.

The EP begins with the collaborative tour de force "Air France," where Introversion and Ferdinger effortlessly blend percussive elements, groovy rhythms, and dubby chords. Intricate layers of delay create a mesmerizing atmosphere, delivering on the ethereal promise suggested by the title. Following this captivating opener is "Bottom Lines", a relentless and uncompromising pounder infused with hypnotic acid lines that will leave listeners spellbound.

Flipping over to the other side of the record, we encounter the title track "Second Nature", a high-octane and melodic journey that showcases the artistic synergy between JakoJako and Ferdinger. With finesse and elegance, they expertly merge their individual styles, building up to a breathtaking climax that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression.

Closing out the EP is the introspective and somber track "Heart Break", which transports us back to the dubby stratosphere first introduced in the A-Side. Its more intimate nature provides a reflective and introspective conclusion to the EP, leaving listeners in a contemplative state.

Darkness enshrouded the city, replacing warm crepuscular air with a fresh nightly breeze that seemed to creep between the gaps in his clothes. Looking down, the tiny hairs on his arm had stood upright in lew of the falling temperature. It really was time to head home. His family were expecting him back. Though something eerie summoned him to stay, something in his gut said to walk, walk out in the night and face the silence that awaited him in those open fields on the outskirts of the city. The last light of sunset danced its way to darkness and he was alone, but this was what he wanted.

Ilker Soylu is a man of many guises. He returns under his Mastering Black alias, breaking the silence of a three-year hiatus with a broody and atmospheric four-track EP. This release rides electro BPMs for the title track ‘Obey’ and the ‘Obey’ rework on the B side, contrasted with A2 ‘Black Palms’ and B2 ‘Bit Of Your Love’ that chug with tension around a slower BPM.Varying on a darkened energy, crisp electro breaks articulate through bubbling arpeggios and ephemeral vocals. ‘Obey’ vocal drifts in and out of the title track, perhaps commanding, perhaps being commanded. This semi-neutral, ungendered voice speaks to the curiosity of the listener, with the potential for an unusual trip when heard in the stark strobe lighting of a rumbling nightclub. ‘Bit Of Your Love’ continues the vocal theme with a questioning tone, embroidered with rattling hi-hats and experimental sound design.The alternative version of ‘Obey’ on the B-side skips the vocal input for a dubbed-out and rhythmic interpretation of the title track. Metallic synths and a notable groove ride throughout the revisited version. A2 track ‘Black Palms’ opens with a calm downbeat house mood, with rich mid-range pads and drums that roll in a friendlier direction. Noisier synths break the calm with staccato flecks that lead us to an energising darkness once more. No stranger to eclectic sound production, Mastering Black provides a diverse and club-ready EP to mark his return to production.

As label and record shop founder of Zwart Goud, Ilker leans on a rich background in dance music and uses his years in the industry to produce this highly kinetic and mood-enriched release. Expect this to wobble and warp its way through sound systems for years to come.

For our second release, circuit|breaker quips back the stacked offering of Cbrk001 with another dynamic double LP, exhibiting some of the best local and international talent that’s cropped up on our radar over recent years.

The label is as driven as ever to build a bridge between our community and the wider electronic music domain, giving artists a platform to preach the sound that speaks to them, and this release is but another stepping stone towards greatness, for us and for them.

Cbrk002 opens up with a rolling, gritty number that could only be Fergus Sweetland, as metallic voices beckon forth on ‘Untitled (arp 1.02)’. Hasvat Informant, whose thunderous reputation precedes him, then storms the barn with the explosive ‘Abispa Ephippium’. The B-side shifts gears to Goa’s Dotdat and his frantically groovy track ‘Holo’, followed by a gorgeous minimal number by Berlin-based Pino Peña – Mia’s Pocket; one that’s sure to get summer dancefloors pumping.

The C-side of the record contains two heaving tracks, the C1 from the prominent force of Cloudy Ku with ‘A Room of One’s Own’, and the C2 from the dark visage that is disgrays with ‘Turmstraße’. The final side of the record has Amsterdam legend Juan Sanchez open the filter with a warm, jacking submission in ‘Indulge’, while the Berliner Marsch takes us home with a devious timbre that will have bodies glued to the floor on ‘Into You’.

A1. Renowned producer, Bodeler, showcases his mastery in the minimal genre with his first contribution to the MBK collection. Combining intricate rhythms with subtle variations, he crafts a hypnotic sonic journey that expresses his signature techie groove while still capturing the essence of minimalism.

A2. Franco Cinelli, another accomplished Argentinian DJ and producer, lends his unique touch to Bodeler’s minimal masterpiece in an exceptional remix. Cinelli’s interpretation provides us with an immersive experience, with every beat and sound thoughtfully placed to convey a distinct musical narrative. With this submission, Side A displays the seamless synergy between two influential figures in the global minimal scene.

B1. Flip to the B-side and you will find an incredibly soulful composition from Nicola Brusegan and Camilo Gil. These two join forces to create a sublime deep house track that transcends boundaries, featuring a familiar sample of an iconic hip hop group from Brooklyn’s past. Lush chords, pulsating basslines, and ethereal textures create the ideal dance floor tune.

B2. ’Take A Groove’ is paired with a remix that has quickly worked its way through clubs around the world. Jorge Caiado shares his perspective of dance floor atmospheres, demonstrating his ability to craft a remix that stands as an artistic statement in its own right. When the acid hits, you’ll know why this track is creating such a buzz!

Alignment is back on Charlotte de Witte's Kntxt label for a fourth time with his Attack EP. It offers four more forward-thinking tracks of trance infused techno.

Berlin-based, Italian-born artist Alignment, whose real name is Francesco Pierfelice, has emerged as a real force in the techno world in recent years. He has had an outstanding array of vital productions, and his sound helps carry forward the diversity and musical identity Kntxt stands for. His sound has smartly evolved since as he continues to pick up new influences. All that comes out on this superb new release.

Says the artist, ‘I am more than happy to contribute with ‘Attack EP’, another release on such a renowned imprint like Kntxt. Charlotte has supported me since day one, and I am hugely grateful to release for the fourth time on her label. Four tracks that are straight to the floor, they are the outcome of touring clubs and festivals again now in 2022. Enjoy this selection and see you soon on the dance-floor!’

Attack opens up with hammering drums and turbo-charged synths. It is an all powerful track that drills deep and brings a real sense of rave to the club. There is an ever present sense of euphoria to Dream State as the trance synth loops bring real light and emotion to the flat footed and slamming drums. Some steamy vocals add that all important hook and ensure real dance floor destruction. Multiverse brings bouncing techno funk beneath edgy synth stabs and industrial percussion design for soot-black warehouse spaces. Last of all is The Way, another unstoppable and supersized techno offering with hands-in-the air synth designs and drums that just don't quit.

This is another fiery offering of new school techno from Alignment.

Lee Foss and Franky Wah join forces in the ‘Name of Love’ for this hypnotic house track on Club Sweat complete with a bumping Torren Foot Remix. Lee and Franky escape their own sonic boundaries to conjure up a pertinent soundtrack for everyone feeling the need to escape their physical confines after this past year and reconnect with loved ones. Filled with a lush piano melody, crisp drums and blissful vocals of Spncr the track slowly brings in lush deep-tech undertones to create a euphoric soundscape. On teaming up with Lee Foss, Franky Wah said, "I’m buzzing about this record because if it wasn’t for Danny Howard and Radio 1 this collaboration would never have even happened. I’d say Lee and I are in different lanes sonically but this track is a perfect example as to why artists should experiment and forget about the boundaries and rules that they set themselves. It’s a record that everyone needs to hear given the year we’ve all had and another one that I hope will resonate with all of us."

Shlomi Aber & Kashpitzky join forces once again to make their Blueprint Records debut with four formidable techno tracks on the "Sonic Underworld EP".

Barcelona-based Shlomi Aber brings over two decades of production and DJing experience to his music, drawing inspiration from Jazz, Funk, Acid and the old-school Detroit Techno scene. With releases on Cocoon, Ovum, R&S, Figure, CLR, Drumcode, BPitch, Renaissance and his own Be as One Imprint, along with his dynamic mixing technique, has gained him global success while headlining clubs, festivals and venues worldwide.

Growing up, Kashpitzky began his musical path playing guitar in a metal-core band, before trading amps for drum machines. After relocating to Berlin, he graduated from the SAE Institute. A DJ who's hard to pigeonhole, he has a track for every occasion. His definition of techno is best exemplified by his energetic, yet deep and groovy productions, often combining broken beats with organic textures via releases on the likes of MindTrip, Monnom Black and of course, Shlomi's Be As One.

Aiden's "Fanks" on the B-side boasts a mesmerising appeal, again reminiscent of the 90s-2000s era, with its pulsating bassline and entrancing soundscape. It delves into the realm of trance, offering a hypnotic journey that echoes the allure of that bygone era. With its captivating blend of trippy elements, the track creates a nostalgic yet timeless vortex of sound, drawing listeners into an otherworldly experience that resonates with the spirit of classic electronic music.

B2 showcases Tourman's prowess as a versatile producer, seamlessly delving into different genres. Overflowing with progressive energy and adorned with scattered UFO sounds, this track stands as a testament to Tourman's evolving artistry—a dynamic force ready to command diverse sonic landscapes. An ideal opener for peak-time set.

Close your eyes and merge into Benedikt Frey’s 'Fastlane'. Imagine sitting in the driver’s seat of a an automobile, one with exceptional horsepower and torque, as you stare out the windshield at the red light, warping in fata-morgana a mile down the road. It’s a straight-away, a black top with two lanes, and against your better judgment you decide to floor the gas. No hesitation in your muscle, your ankle or the ball of your foot, which you now realize is some kind of universal pivot, the first point of contact fusing your body with the will of machine. In this moment you’re in awe that you, a human, an animal, grew from pond scum into something so advanced as to engineer this thing, a mechanical beast capable of overwhelming power and exhilaration. But you also feel a seductive dread, an outside force diverting you from caution toward a dangling carrot of curiosity, asking yourself, ‘How far can I take this thing?’ The dread, now a constant, is numbed, equalized by an adverse intoxicating gratification. You feel both sensations in real time, however, rather than take responsibility for yourself, friends, family and innocent bystanders, you cement your foot to the floor and lean your head back. Noise around you fades to mute. Smell the benzene-scented air, feel the wind on your face, the menacing vibration of the vessel you control beneath you and every grain of asphalt under its tires. This mile has now lasted an eternity and you’ve left your body for some objective view, as if watching climax of a film. Past the point of no return, you embrace abandon and lean into fate. The film becomes slow motion, a crawling pace so mesmerizing you convince yourself of an option to eject yourself from this madness, but as you finally let go of your last morsel of fear, you run the red light head-on into the nucleus of a fantastic glistening sculpture of torn metal, glass, oil, broken dreams and heartache. 'Fastlane' may be just drum machines and synthesizers if you’re timid, but listen harder and know the catastrophic reality of existence, a wreckage so gruesome we dare not rubberneck, but afterall it is our nature to stare.
