Powder coated casing.

Starting in October 2024, all new Degritter Mark II machines will feature an upgraded casing with textured powder coating.

This improvement eliminates common issues such as greasy fingerprints, water stains, and scratches, making it easier than ever to keep the machine looking pristine. Our updated casings in classic black and new gunmetal silver offer increased durability and better resistance to everyday wear.

Additionally, the new casing no longer requires an AC switch. Our machines will now automatically detect voltage, seamlessly switching between 120V and 230V. This update adds an extra layer of protection, helping prevent potential damage caused by incorrect power settings.

Why the Change?

We’ve listened to feedback from our customers, and many found the previous anodized surface a bit tricky to maintain. By switching to powder coating, we’re offering a thicker, more resilient finish that is not only easier to clean but also resistant to UV radiation and scratches.

What is a Wi-Fi Module and what is it used for?
The iEast Olio Wi-Fi Module is a wireless sound streamer that turns your speakers into a Wireless Multi-room sound system by connecting to your home Wi-Fi network. In other words this means that you can play synchronized music in multiple rooms in your home. For instance if you have four speakers in your home, with an easy setup you can then enjoy your music everywhere.

Do I need a Wi-Fi Module to use my speaker?
No, the Wi-Fi Module just gives you the option to stream music using your Wi-Fi and to stream music simultaneously to multiple speakers. You can also play via the built in Bluetooth and through the 3.5 mm cable that is included with your speaker purchase.

Does the Wi-Fi Module work with all networks?
The Wi-Fi Module is compatible with both 2.4G and 5.0G Wi-Fi router.

How does Wi-Fi connection compare to Bluetooth connection?
The biggest difference is that Bluetooth only allows for short-range data transfer between devices. Bluetooth also limits the number of devices that can connect at one time. With Wi-Fi connection, as long as you have a good Wi-Fi connection you can connect multiple speakers and have a long distance between them. Some also think that the audio quality is better when streaming music with Wi-Fi.

Can I use the Wi-Fi Module with my current Transparent Speaker?
Depending on when you bought your speaker, there might be a few extra setups you need to consider.

Small Transparent Speaker:
If your serial number is lower than H1908STS you need to power the Wi-Fi Module from a wall socket and not directly from your speaker.

The serial number is located in the bottom of the Small Transparent Speaker.

Transparent Speaker:
If your serial number is H2103TS or lower you need to power the Wi-Fi Module from a wall socket and not directly from your speaker.

The serial number is located in the back of the Transparent Speaker.
How do I connect to the Wi-Fi Module?

To connect to the iEast Olio Wi-Fi Module, please follow these steps:
1. Download the "iEast Controller" app from App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet.
Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi you want to connect your speakers to.
2. Connect the USB cable to the Wi-Fi Module and to your Transparent Speaker on the rear/bottom panel.
3. Connect the music cable to the Wi-Fi Module and to the Line in socket on the rear/bottom panel.
4. Switch on your speaker and set the volume knob +50% to hear the various sound effects.
5. The Wi-Fi Module should now automatically go to set up mode and you should hear "Now in set up mode..." from the speaker.
6. Open the iEast app and select "Add device" from the menu.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the iEast Olio Wi-Fi Module to your home Wi-Fi network. You will need to enter your Wi-Fi network name and password.

8. Once the iEast Olio Wi-Fi Module is connected to your Wi-Fi network, it will appear in the iEast app. You can now start streaming music to your Transparent speaker.

9. Repeat the steps to connect multiple speakers.

How do I create a group/multiroom set up?
1. First, follow the previous instructions on how to connect to the Wi-Fi Module.
2. In the "Devices" menu where you can see all your connected modules and speakers, click the small icon that looks like two speakers with a + sign.
3. Simple check each speaker that you wish to add to the group.
4. You should consider clicking the letter L/R/LR in the devices info box, to set your various speakers to a wider stereo mode if they are in the same room. Then you set one or more speakers on one side of the room to L and the other side to R. If you will play music in many rooms you might prefer to have all in LR setting.

How do I get the Wi-Fi Module to set up mode?
To put a previously connected module in set up mode, when its connected and power is on, press the small button on the Wi-Fi Module for about 5 seconds and release. You should now hear "Now in setup mode..."

How do I do a factory reset on the Wi-Fi Module?
Press the small button longer than 5 seconds and release, then you should hear "...has been reset".

Can I connect the Wi-Fi Module to other speaker brands than Transparent?
Yes, as long as the speaker got a USB connection and a line in jack it should be all good to go.

Do I need one Wi-Fi Module to each speaker I'd like to connect?
Yes you do.

Advanced Phase Precision Driver
To reproduce music with enhanced spatial sound expressivity requires that the wavefronts of sounds radiated from the speaker unit are all aligned regardless of the listening position. The concept of point sound source is one of the ideal approaches to achieve it.
To realise the point sound source reproduction, the coaxial configuration was adopted and then it was combined with the originally shaped Linear Phase Plug for aligning phases and the Smooth Flow Diaphragm formed with a shallow-shape diaphragm and smooth edge shape for minimum sound reflection. The result is a spherical wave with aligned wavefronts of radiated sounds.
The SB-C600’s 2-way coaxial speaker unit realises clear sound image localisation and a smooth, high-quality sound, rich of emotion, while inheriting the concepts of point sound source and linear phase that Technics pursues relentlessly.

Linear Phase Plug
The originally shaped acoustic plug is positioned on the front side of the tweeter diaphragm and provides a high-resolution sound reproduction capability and a wide sound stage.

Smooth Flow Diaphragm
If the sound wave has irregularities on its sound transmitting surface, its wavefront becomes disturbed by the shapes of the irregularities, resulting in the degradation of frequency characteristics. High frequencies that have short wavelengths tend to be more susceptible to the degradation of sound characteristics. The woofer diaphragm in the coaxial speaker unit has a shallow shape and smooth edge to reduce sound reflection. The result is minimal disturbance of the wavefronts of sound waves radiated from the diaphragm to realise excellent frequency response and phase characteristics as well as wide directivity.
This configuration achieves a wide sound stage and smooth and rich mid- to high-frequency range.

Smooth Flow Port
A bass reflex port with an ordinary shape produces a large air current vortex that induces annoying high-frequency noise. Technics employed the airflow control method utilised for airplane wings and designed the cross-sectional shape of the port using flow analysis. The optimally designed port shape does not cause airflow disturbance at the opening and ensures high-quality bass reproduction with minimum noise and superb response.

Stationary Construction
It thoroughly removes undesirable or unwanted sounds and reproduces only the intended sounds with a high signal-to-noise ratio. The “Balanced Driver Mount Architecture” used in the grand class SB-G90M2 has been optimized for this model by making full use of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering). In addition, the speaker mount baffle that holds the speaker units in place has been newly designed to strengthen the rigidity of the entire cabinet. The combination of these factors maximizes the advantages of the gravity center mount structure. The rigidity and shape of each part that makes up the coaxial speaker unit has been carefully studied to eliminate unnecessary vibration and noise.

Balanced Driver Mounting Architecture
To realise a calm and low-distortion sound, the SB-C600 employs a speaker mount baffle created by optimising the low-resonance, high-rigidity design concept of the SB-G90M2 using CAE.
The originally shaped speaker mount baffle keeps the concentration of stress in check. The speaker mount baffle secures enough vent holes to ensure smooth flow of sounds radiated from the back sides of the speaker units and improve the response while maintaining low resonance and high rigidity. In addition, this structure reduces the vibrations of the entire enclosure and minimises the effects on other equipment.

High Quality Parts
The network circuit uses high-quality parts, such as polypropylene film capacitors, OFC wires and more. The speaker terminals are made of brass.

All Aluminium Diaphragms
The woofer and tweeter diaphragm are made of alumite-treated aluminium material for a unified tonal quality, and provides balanced sound like a full-range unit.

The Latest Coreless Direct Drive Motor Achieves High-precision Stable Rotation
The technologies acquired through the development of the SL-1200 Series and the high-end SL-1000R model were lavishly inserted into the motor drive unit, a key part of the turntable. The motor exclusively tunes the single-rotor, coreless direct drive motor adopted by the SL-1200GR in order to read the high rotation accuracy and high-precision signals of the record. Optimal motor control is conducted for the inertial mass of the two-layer structure platter on which the vinyl record is placed with deadening rubber on the entire back surface to eliminate unwanted resonance in the aluminium die-cast platter to eliminate the rotation irregularity called cogging. The aluminium die-cast chassis is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of ABS mixed with glass fiber to achieve a two-layer construction. The insulator is comprised of a spring and rubber to provide optimal vibration-damping characteristics. The tonearm is a static-balance universal S-shape tonearm, another Technics tradition. By adopting a high-precision bearing using the same gimbal suspension construction and machined housing as the SL-1200 Series, high initial sensitivity is achieved. The shield structure of the built-in phono equalizer suppresses the effects of external noise and noise from the power supply. It is also equipped with a switch to turn the LINE output off when it is not being used. The turntable has been designed to thoroughly shut-out adverse effects to the PHONO output. The dedicated power supply for the PHONO output terminal is isolated from the power supply for the LINE output terminal, and has been designed to prioritize sound quality by minimising the wiring of the PHONO signal. The isolated terminals also prevent wiring mistakes. An Ortofon 2M RED cartridge, which is highly acclaimed as an MM cartridge, has been selected for the bundled cartridge. Combining this high-quality cartridge with the performance of the SL-1500C will maximise the sound quality of vinyl records.

Equipped with an Auto Lifter Function That Allows You to Enjoy Playing Records More Comfortably
When the tonearm reaches the end of the record, the Auto Lifter function automatically raises the cartridge. This prevents unnecessary wear on your valuable vinyl records and stylus. By embedding the Auto Lifter function in the base portion of the tonearm, it eliminates impacts to the tonearm. Due to a simple design that doesn’t use motor power, there is no electrical or vibrational impact and it will not prevent the movement of the tonearm. In response to requests from many users regarding the Auto Lifter function, a design that prioritises sound quality was adopted. The functions required to playback records were kept to a bare minimum, achieving simple and easy-to-use operability.

Depending on back height, LPs will fit into the pocket with a paper sleeve, cardboard sleeve or together with a booklet. Box pockets (covers) are among the classics of vinyl packaging. The 10 inch record has a long history dating back to 1947 and offered exclusively by Columbia Records at the time. The 10 Inch Record was revolutionary in that it offered a chance for labels and artists to present more songs on a single platter than previous iterations. The 10 inch record was originally marketed as a 'Long Playing' or LP record and reigned supreme until about 1954 with the advent and popularity of the 12 inch Record. Still and all, this proud slab of wax continues to live in hearts and bins of many collectors.

The 10 inch record is often offered as a unique keepsake for fans and a chance for an artist to release a superior sound quality recording when cut at 45 rpm. Deep uncrowded grooves!

The Reloop Flux is a next-generation USB-C interface for using Serato DJ Pro with turntables, CDJs or other media players. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY
Three stereo inputs provide DJs with maximum flexibility. Turntables, CDJs and similar can be used in any combination. The settings are adjusted using discreet DIP switches, which virtually eliminates any chance of accidental switching in the club. The interface includes three stereo outputs, including an AUX out that can be routed to Serato DJ Pro´s internal sampler. Gold-plated, corrosion-resistant RCA jacks ensure high-quality audio transmission.

FULL CONTROL
The Flux provides the best possible routing overview thanks to clearly visible signal flow LEDs for all inputs and outputs and a Thru status indicator. Connection status (hub, PD, DC) LED indicators on the top of the interface provide additional control options. The Direct Thru buttons on the top of the interface enable you to quickly and easily activate and disable Thru mode, which allows connected turntables and CDJs to be used conventionally. Navigation through the Serato software is no longer necessary.

HUB INSIDE
The Flux includes a built-in 2-port USB-A hub for connecting MIDI controllers and other USB accessories. Aside from the expanded connection options, the hub reduces potential connection faults in a busy club environment by keeping the setup connected even without the laptop.

The Flux offers studio quality in the club and wherever it's needed with 24-bit/96 kHz, high-quality digital/analogue converters and ultra-low latency. For this reason, it’s a superior DVS interface which could also be used as an audio interface in the studio.

ALWAYS POWERED
The Flux is bus-powered by a computer, so there's minimal wiring required for audio and power cables. The DVS interface can also be powered by external power sources through the USB-C DC input, allowing turntables and CDJs to be used in Thru mode even without a computer connected. Hi-fi speaker engineering starts with the cabinet. If your tonearm has a standard headshell or a cartridge mount, then step up to optimal sound reproduction with OM’s. Depending on your preference, styli for the OM 5 Series are easily interchanged and include: styli 3E, 5E, 10, 20, 30, 40 & 78 and D 25 M.

We designed the Vulgar Display of Vinyl box to be used as a stand alone vinyl storage unit or to be placed on top of one of our 12 inch Music Boxes to further enhance, maximize storage space and organize any listening room. The convenient top flipping makes finding your current rotation favorites easy as pie. It's a bit like crate digging in your own home.

This brand new addition to our line of vinyl storage products is made of solid 18mm thick Oak wood and sanded to seductively smooth finish then topped off with our delicious wood oil.

Each Vulgar Display Box can hold at least 68 LP's (depending on the thickness)

Please note that unlike our other products, you will have to assemble it yourself. All you'll need is a screwdriver and a few minutes, then BAM!! Vinyl Heaven Awaits.
