Formed in 1989, Unlord are widely considered among the Netherlands’ very first black metal bands, if not THE first. Although they never publicly released any demos, their three albums for the sorely missed Displeased Records – 1997’s Schwarzwald, 2000’s Gladiator, and 2002’s Lord of Beneath – stand as a nigh-untouchable trio of freezing-fire black metal incarnate. Unlord’s proud ‘n’ pure synthesis of bazooka-blown speed and violently melodic riffing reeks of late ‘90s nostalgia but also sounds remarkably fresh today, nearly 20 years after their untimely breakup. Until 2022. This fall, Pelagic Records will release individual standalone LP releases of the aforementioned albums - the first two for the first time ever on vinyl format. Originally released on CD through Relapse Records, the albums have been remastered and graphically refurbished in 2022, with all new artwork by R obert Samsonovitz. The wait is over... Finally, classic heavy metal merchants Alien Force will break the 35-year silence and release a new collection of songs! “We Meet Again” is the eagerly awaited new Alien Force studio album, and it doesn’t disappoint: it’s melodic, it’s tight and it bears that classical sound that made the Danes a band to be reckoned in the international scene. Few bands could hold the pressure of three decades and a half of accumulated expectations, but Alien Force do it in spades! In 1982, the band known as Alien Force started playing music under the name Zeyking. Started by two brothers Henrik Rasmussen (guitar) and Michael Rasmussen (drums) the style was classic heavy metal. Together with Peter Svale Andersen (vocals) and Michael Østerfelt, (bass) Zeyking released the single “Get It Out”. In 1985, the band changed its name to Alien Force and released their first LP “Hell And High Water”. Up through the 90’s it was difficult for the band to survive. Band members were replaced, the name and style changed, but it was all in all a difficult period and the band decided to stop after playing at many festivals and club gigs. In 2008, the band was invited to play a reunion concert in the famous rock club The Rock. The concert was a great success and Alien Force once again got the desire for metal back. Shortly after, the band entered their home studio with new energy and new ideas for songs and got more invitations to play festivals again, but unfortunately their guitarist Michael Wenzel lost his life to cancer and it was a great blow for the band again. After a long break, in 2018, Alien Force was invited to play Keep It True, one of Germany’s largest underground metal festivals. Alien Force presented themselves with the original line-up from the “Hell And High Water” album and the concert served as a turning point. In 2020, Alien Force hit the studio again, inspired by the many concerts in Europe after the Keep it True experience. Together with Peter Brander in Media Sound Studio, they have recorded ten new with an A&R team composed by Michael Stützer (Artillery), Tom Noble (Tygers Of Pan Tang manager) and Kim Vestergaard (Artillery manager). Winter Eternal is the sole work of one Soulreaper, formed as a means to express his darkest side - indeed, a place where winter reigns eternal. It all started in 2002 in Athens, Greece where, under the name Unveiled Nightsky, the seeds for the Winter that was yet to come where planted. Nine years later, in 2011, Winter Eternal were officially formed, and a year later, the first demo was released. The band's first full-length, simply self-titled, originally saw release in 2013 as a limited cassette and, three years later, finally as a CD version. Eternal winter was raging throughout Soulreaper's long journey. The multitude of feelings captured in his lyrics and especially his music made Winter Eternal a unique entity within the modern underground: influences ranged from the '90s Swedish black metal scene (Dissection, Gates Of Ishtar, Vinterland etc) to both the early Hellenic and Norwegian scenes (Rotting Christ, Necromantia, Varathron, Ulver, Windir, Satyricon etc). Inherits The Void is the musical endeavor of French multi-instrumentalist Antoine Scholtès. Born in 2020, the project based in Clermont-Ferrand released the Mémoires EP before starting to work on a proper full-length studio album. Monolith Of Light hence marks Inherits The Void debut album, born from Scholtès’s desire for “a meeting between influences from the ‘90s Swedish Black Metal scene and a more current orientation of the genre”. Rage and melody entwine in these seven hymns to the transience of man, bringing to mind the great masterworks of Dissection, Dawn and Vinterland, as well as the more contemporary sounds of France.

New studio album of the most legendary traditional heavy metal band of Greece! Formed in 1984, Spitfire is the most legendary heavy metal band of Greece. The debut album "First Attack" (released by EMI in 1987) stands at the top of the greatest metal albums coming from the country and has built a strong following over the decades worldwide. At the same time, the band suffered a major blow when original singer Dinos Costakis was seriously injured in a car accident. Spitfire had everything going for them until that day and the tragic accident that forced Dinos to retire from the stage. Over the course of one night, his emotional voice became metal history before he even reached his peak. Despite adversity, Spitfire found the strength to go on but a few more problems rooted in the music industry led the band’s career in a dark period while they were also pushed to change the name to Speedfire for a while, releasing the live album "100% Live" in 1990. With important line-up changes and the Spitfire moniker back in the mid-90s the legend was growing and the act kept performing live and released the second studio album "Die Fighting" in 2009.

California’s Abrasion comes out swinging on their sophomore release, with five new tracks of metallic hardcore featuring vocalist Angel Garcia of Dare (Revelation Records). Ende, a Black Metal outfit hailing from France are ready to unleash their 6th full length album: “L'aube des Anathèmes”. Previously signed to Obscure Abhorrence Productions, the band has released 5 solid albums in the past and continue to do so with their next opus. L'aube des Anathèmes offers a wide range of the mid 90’s Black Metal sound where you can hear undoubtedly the raw / old school black metal in their sound to a certain point where it gets mixed with the synth instrument (that is very present within the symphonic black metal genre) without sounding to symphonic, but rather haunted or vampiric. The guitars however deliver those vile raw and yet melodic riffs that directly make you forget about all the above and just take you on this wave of melodies throughout the album. The drums are pounding with variations between the old school blast beats and fast blast beats to even mid-tempo and thrash like tempos together with an overlay on low bass tones. The vocals can only be complimented for lifting everything up and finalizing that 90’s sound as a whole! HELLS HEADBANGERS is proud to present FUNERAL STORM's highly anticipated second album, Chthonic Invocations.It was but 2019 when FUNERAL STORM made their grand entrance onto the international metal stage with their acclaimed debut album, Arcane Mysteries, courtesy of HELLS HEADBANGERS. While their history goes back to 2001, activities didn't begin in earnest until 2012, and hard graft became their watchword. But it was Arcane Mysteries that majestically consolidated all of FUNERAL STORM's considerable promise into one grand statement of classic Greek black metal in an authentically early '90s style. It certainly didn't hurt that that debut album featured Varathron founder Necroabyssious on vocals. Two years came a split 7" with Greek comrades Synteleia, appropriately titled The Ancient Calling, also courtesy of HELLS HEADBANGERS.That split featured a scaled-back lineup of Necroabyssious and guitarist Arcania and founding guitarist/bassist/drum-programmer Wampyrion, and thus fortified does FUNERAL STORM's second full-length follow. Likewise appropriately titled, Chthonic Invocations further explores the steadfast theme of the Cthulhu mythos. More specifically, FUNERAL STORM's second album in general focuses on death, in every form, for Arcania and Wampyrion were totally isolated during the lockdown and Necroabyssious was heavily infected with Covid-19 to a point where the band didn't know what would happen. However, after he was healed, Necroabyssious delivered an exceptionally aggressive performance, suiting to his bandmates' more surging yet more mystical music. Truly, Chthonic Invocations sounds like FUNERAL STORM 666%, and harkens even further into the ancient past: to say that the album could've been released in 1993 on Unisound is an understatement to end all understatements. Now, 10 years later, the album has been remastered and will be released on Vinyl for the very first time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band their debut. Compared to Ondfødt’s recent work you can hear a big difference in approach and production as it should be! Hexkonst brings the listener back to their old days where the production was still harsh or rather raw and the sound writing more of an old school type of black metal with here and there some elements that on the later albums are worked out into a more occultic atmosphere within the black metal genre. All in all, Hexkonst is a vile piece of an old school black metal album for those who like their metal dirty and aggressive. Ende, a Black Metal outfit hailing from France are ready to unleash their 6th full length album: “L'aube des Anathèmes”. Previously signed to Obscure Abhorrence Productions, the band has released 5 solid albums in the past and continue to do so with their next opus. L'aube des Anathèmes offers a wide range of the mid 90’s Black Metal sound where you can hear undoubtedly the raw / old school black metal in their sound to a certain point where it gets mixed with the synth instrument (that is very present within the symphonic black metal genre) without sounding to symphonic, but rather haunted or vampiric. The guitars however deliver those vile raw and yet melodic riffs that directly make you forget about all the above and just take you on this wave of melodies throughout the album. The drums are pounding with variations between the old school blast beats and fast blast beats to even mid-tempo and thrash like tempos together with an overlay on low bass tones. The vocals can only be complimented for lifting everything up and finalizing that 90’s sound as a whole! Ende has delivered an album that is furious, relentless, melodic (with a touch of symphonic) and driven with the old school 90’s black metal sound and all in all managed to wrap it up in a solid production.
