Formed in the northeast town of South Shields in 1977, punk/Oi! band Angelic Upstarts recorded two studio albums for Warner Brothers and two for EMI’s Zonophone subsidiary before being dropped by the latter. Work was begun on an abortive fifth studio album that forms the bulk of the brilliant Lost And Found, with superior versions of Last Tango In Moscow material featuring the classic Upstarts line up of Mensi/Mond/Glyn/Decca. Live tracks from the Main Event gig at the London Astoria have Mensi/Hayes/Ronnie Rocker/Max Splodge. This is required listening for all Upstarts fans. Thoroughly excellent!

The word ‘legendary’ is bandied around far too lazily and conveniently these days. But, in the case of Antisect: legendary is precisely what they are! As a band/collective, they sit right up there with other great names from the raging era of early 80s true ‘anti-establishment’ punk rock such as Discharge, Flux Of Pink Indians, Subhumans, Rudimentary Peni and even Crass, in terms of the impact they have had over the years. This, their debut album was released forty years ago in the paranoid year that was 1984. It is, without doubt, a classic combination of autonomous philosophy and hardcore thrash. Antwerp-based progressive hardcore band BEAR herald their triumphant return with their highly-anticipated new...

The band got together again in 1986 on the occasion of a party to move out of a shared apartment. A video was recorded of this last concert, which the band knew nothing about until 2012. The recordings were taken from the video, edited and are now on this LP. Two songs are unreleased to date. No doubt without an absolute contemporary document! Comes with lyric sheet and liner notes.

CHANNEL RATS, known for the legendary split LP with R.A.F.Gier, as well as for various samplers including the Sauerkraut + Smörrebröd and the Waterkant Hits. 13 songs composed of studio, demo + live material and compilation tracks, recorded between '82 and '87. The songs show a "down and dirty" approach of the traditional Hamburg school. Hardcore/ punk like most bands in this genre did back then. Raw and brutal stop. The whole thing is then completed with an extensive 12 sided full color booklet with liner notes, band history and previously unpublished pictures.

Cran from Paris, France who you may have heard on the Paris on Oi! 12" compilation are releasing their debut LP 'Natë' on the amazing Uvpr label who had previously released their 7" EP. The Cran album: punk, melodies, big choirs, dark, deep lyrics. Lots of good songs, nice evolution.

The return in force of Normand, 8 punk/ oi! tracks in French, and nothing to throw away. The new line up’s songs are excellent, the sound works great. The good old comrades are always the best.

Meet Giuda: Italy’s premier exponents of insanely infectious, glam-tinged and gritty rock ’n’ roll. Formed in 2007, these lysergic power-pop warriors have a decade of active service under their utility belts and a brand-new album, E.V.A. (Extravehicular Activity), which seals the band’s hard-earned triumph.

In the summer of 2021, the ArOzA Crew released the tune "Asphalt" as single. Shortly thereafter, the then still unknown band was perceived as a promising newcomer in the HipHop scene. Interviews were given with BET, Urban Vault UK, Puls, and the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the record label Expanded Art Records also got in touch to license the song for a 12inch vinyl. Instead of just one single song for a 12inch, the band offered EAR an entire EP with more songs from the time Asphalt was created and fitting remixes. For remixes, Flip from Texta and Maniac from the Demograffics were won over. Flip, a rap star in his country Austria, remixed the song "For Da Nation" which features London rapper Rece Miller. Maniac from the Demograffics, known for his work with Liquid, Dexter and the Tribez, did the remix work for the title song „Aspahlt“. Also on the EP the joint "Roswell Incident", a bomb by 90Wyse from Buffalo in the United States on which the ArOzA crew gave a feature. The 12-track EP is rounded off with the instrumentals of the songs and remixes.

What's Realness? Realness is a lifestyle, an attitude towards life. It is the essence of what HipHop's all about. Unfortunately this realness has been nearly completly lost in the last few years and is only rarely found in recent productions. One whack song followed by another is released to generate plays and to enter the charts. The KNALLSCHOTEN have been known from various cassette compilations and the phenomenal "Waterkant Hits" lp complilation in the early 80's. After more than 40 years finally the full LP, the anniversary edition so to speak. 22 times Thrash punk from the Eimsbüttel, an area in Hamburg, were most of the band-members were located back then, high-rise settlement, Hardcore-Punk as it should be, not dull. but funny, imaginative and fast. Messy but cool. The vinyl edition contains a 16 sided full color booklet with unpublished pictures, funny stories and lyrics etc., ltd to 300 copies.

The Belgian garage punk quartet Mind Rays are back with their second album Course of Action, due via Swedish label PNKSLM Recordings (Les Big Byrd, ShitKid, Sudakistan) on October 25. Returning two years after the release of their acclaimed debut LP Nerve Endings, which saw the band recieve the attention of the likes of BrooklynVegan, The Line of Best Fit, DIY, GoldFlakePaint and more, the band's offering up another collection of furious garage punk. Recording with Pieter-Paul Devos of Raketkanon and Kapitan Korsakov, the album is a lean, high tempo punk rock affair that's imbued with a different kind of energy than Nerve Endings; it's polished without being pristine, and carries with it a new kind of swagger that speaks to the four-piece's sky-high confidence.

Pirates Press Records is thrilled to celebrate the long running California punk rock band Monster Squad with an extensive vinyl reissue campaign, starting from the beginning with their debut EP! The 6-song EP Not For Them is truly ground zero for Monster Squad, and a document of the band’s origins. In the summer of 2000, the band members moved in together in a shanty of a punk house with old gravestones strewn about the basement, across the street from their skate spot of choice in Vacaville, CA. These were heady times for young punks at the end of their teenage years. As their reputation as outspoken rabble rousers, grew, so too did the target on their backs, enduring fights with cops, jocks, and rednecks, and even having a Molotov cocktail tossed at their front door by a local neo-Nazi who apparently took issue with the band’s anti-racist and anti-fascist stance! Across six songs, the band members bashed out what could be considered a manifesto for what Monster Squad would be: shout-along choruses, pogo punk positivity, lyrics that stated in no uncertain terms their opposition to the Bush-era war machine & Proposition-8 era institutionalized homophobia. Perhaps most personally, the song “Pressure” featured an honest & relatable discussion of mental health issues that would become a recurring theme in the ensuing decades. Originally self-released via CD-Rs burned on the clock at Guitar Center on the band’s own Strength Through Pain Records, Monster Squad’s Not For Them is on vinyl for the first time ever! Pirates Press Records is proud to present this essential piece of turn-of-the-century California punk on 12” Magenta Vinyl with Black Splatter.

The uncompromising firecracker from 1982, the second OHL album back on vinyl! One of the German punk classics ever!The second LP by German punk veterans OHL has become much fatter than their immature debut. The production is much crisper, the vocals with their cynical bad news to political society fit. The songs are more catchy. Although OHL are not really a thrash band, they produced some very fast slabs of guitar-heavy power that will really strain the speakers at high volume (e.g. "Schrei, Schrei" "Warschauer Pakt" or "Belsen"). With "Nie wieder" they certainly have one of the most biting anti-Nazi songs I've ever come across. Recommended again and still!
