2024 marks the 40th Anniversary of The Cure’s 5th studio album, ‘The Top’. First Time on Picture Disc. Remastered by Robert Smith and cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, London. Released in May 1984 the album reached Number 10 in the UK albums chart and features the single “The Caterpillar” ( #14 in the UK Singles Chart) The Picture Disc is housed in beautiful die-cut sleeve designed by the original designer, Andy Vella, and is printed both inside and out.

Everything But The Girl’s ‘At Maida Vale EP’ is made up of four tracks recorded in April 2023 at the BBC’s famous Maida Vale Studios.All the recordings are versions of tracks on the band’s current album, ‘Fuse”, except Single which first appeared on their platinum 1996 album, Walking Wounded. Initially released as a 10” on green vinyl, BMG is reissuing as an RSD Exclusive on 12” green vinyl – the first repressing since the 1980’s. Lacquers cut at Bernie Grundman Mastering from a 192khz/24bit tape transfer of an original A&M Safety Master. Includes the UK Top 50 single “Don’t Care”.

Italian library music obscure cult release Officially reissued for the first time ever Originally released in 1980 "Descriptive" completes the series of official reissues of the only two LPs released under the Corviria moniker by Edizioni Leonardi in 1977 (Psyco Analysis) and 1980 (Descriptive) respectively. Both are among the most obscure titles of Italian library music, whose composers can only be traced in the figures of Luigi Bergonzi and Vittoria Corona.

Musically, "Descriptive" marks an evolution of the electronic and dark sound of the previous "Psyco Analysis", starting with the fourpart opening minisuite "Evil's Suite", a genuine trip into kraut and progressive rock territories, then continuing with the abstract and mysterious "Suspence Effect One / Two" and finally with a series of more conventional and easylistening tracks that for the most part recall the sounds of Tangerine Dream from that period.

Just like "Psyco Analysis", the mysterious "Descriptive" now eventually enjoys a muchneeded and welldeserved reissue, the first one ever, faithful to the original, on the occasion of Record Store Day 2024!

You probably heard it before, several times. The opening number ‘Hungry, So Angry’ is to be considered one of the most infectious white funk anthem of the era. The Glitterhouse was released in 1981 on british imprint Cherry Red and soon was hailed as an instant classic for the post-punk generation close to dancefloor. In the same league of A Certain Ratio and newyorkers Bush Tetras the band originally from Nottingham moved behind obscure numbers and twisted grooves showing a revolutionary take on the up and coming new wave scenario. Here’s an unmissable collection with tracks from their three singles, sole studio album, live recordings but also unreleased tracks from an October 1982 demo tape. Fully remastered and licensed, ltd to 500 copies on 180 gr.

Reissue of the 1981 debut LP by darkwave electrronic pioneers, Schleimer K', based around the duo of Englishman Michael Wolfen and Frenchman Dominique Brethes and its music has two naturally interlaced aspects. On the one hand, there's the eccentric dandyism of British "punk gothique" (if we take Bauhaus as its strongest representative) and the musical intransigence of early industrial bands (like Throbbing Gristle or Cabaret Voltaire). On the other hand, we have the very obvious French touch of "coldwave", varying from cold synth sounds to intense experiments. New artwork, yellow vinyl!

When The Shaggs’ Philosophy Of The World came out in 1969, some people couldn’t or wouldn’t understand it. But many musicians, including Frank Zappa and Kurt Cobain, cited the Shaggs as a major influence. Heck, Zappa exclaimed they were “better than the Beatles!” NRBQ’s Terry Adams and Keith Spring were such fans, and after reissuing Philosophy in 1980 on their own Red Rooster label, Adams began work on a collection of recordings the Wiggin sisters had made in the years following their debut. The result was Shaggs’ Own Thing – a beguiling follow-up that reveals a more developed and mature sound while still retaining all of their homespun uniqueness.

“The songs were better and they were recorded better, so it naturally made a better album,” Dot Wiggin said shortly after the original release of Shaggs’ Own Thing in 1982. It’s a “natural, organic extension” of the utterly original sound that The Shaggs had created, intentionally or not, with Philosophy Of The World, as John DeAngelis writes in the new liner notes. While Dot Wiggins originals like “You’re Somethin’ Special To Me” and “My Cutie,” and covers of classic songs like “Yesterday Once More” reveal a maturity not displayed on the debut, the two versions of “Shaggs’ Own Thing” and the revisiting of “My Pal Foot Foot” show that The Shaggs lost none of their pure and honest charm over the years.

Remastered from the original tapes with liner notes by John DeAngelis, this reissue includes the bonus track “Love at First Sight,” first issued on the 1988 Red Rooster/Rounder Shaggs CD and appears on LP for the first time, plus three additional tracks on CD: “Sweet Maria” and “The Missouri Waltz,” first released by Light In The Attic as a limited-edition Record Store Day 45 in 2016, and the previously unreleased cover of the classic surf instrumental “Wipe Out.”

Before The Three O'Clock, Michael Quercio was the lead singer/bassist of The Salvation Army, who released their self-titled album just six-months after releasing their debut, a 45, on D. Boon's (Minutemen) New Alliance label. In honor of it's 40th anniversary, this album is being released for the first time under its original title, since it was originally released in 1982, exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday. In celebration of the album's 40th anniversary, it's being pressed on orange vinyl.
