Following on from the successful ‘An Idiot Prayer’ live album and livestream event released this year, Nick Cave Productions & BMG announce B-SIDES & RARITIES PART I & II to be released internationally on 22nd October 2021.
B-SIDES & RARITIES PART I & II contains material from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ 30-plus year career. This collection features 83 tracks across 7 x 180g LPs housed in a deluxe case bound slipcase with foiling, featuring exclusive photographs and sleeve notes written by Sean O’Hagan (The Guardian & The Observer).
This is the first time Part I, compiled by Mick Harvey and originally released in 2005, has been made available on vinyl. It comprises 56 tracks including rarities, out-takes, covers & B-sides from 1988-2005.
Part II, compiled by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis and features 27 tracks from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in 2006 to 2019’s Ghosteen. Including 19 rare and unreleased tracks including first recordings of ‘Skeleton Tree’, ‘Girl in Amber’, ‘Bright Horses’ and ‘Waiting for You’.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Joker. J50: The Evolution of The Joker, curated by Steve Miller, highlights 27 previously unreleased demos, live performances, studio outtakes and rehearsals from Miller's personal archive, including 8 never-before heard songs. Miller also provides narration guiding the "evolution" of the songs from The Joker.

The box set features a lenticular cover, 60-page book with liner notes from both Steve Miller & Anthony DeCurtis, a reproduction of a vintage Joker iron-on and a new Joker lithograph.

Shotmaker was formed in 1993 by three friends from the small towns of Tweed and Belleville in Ontario, Canada: Matt Deline (drums, vocals), Tim McKeough (guitar, vocals), and Nick Pye (bass, vocals). The band relocated to Ottawa in 1994 before ending its run in 1996. They are widely recognized for influencing the direction of emo and post-hardcore music.

During their relatively short time together Shotmaker harnessed the collective creativity of the Canadian DIY community to make something special happen. They wrote and recorded two 7”s, two LPs, a split LP (with Washington, D.C., based Maximillian Colby) and numerous songs for compilations and other split records. The band thrived on playing live shows and completed three coast-to-coast North American tours in addition to many smaller tours. They regularly shared the stage with bands like Policy of 3, Los Crudos, Unwound, Rorschach, Cap’n Jazz, Indian Summer, Rye Coalition, Modest Mouse, Propagandhi, Hoover, Clikatat Ikatowi, Blonde Redhead and Fugazi.

"A Moment in Time: 1993-1996" is a band-curated, 3xLP box set on colored vinyl. Also included is a 12 page booklet with never before seen images from Canadian photographer Shawn Scallen who chronicled much of the band's history. All the music has been mastered for vinyl by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege in Portland, OR.

After "Olivier Rocabois Goes Too Far" 2021 and the EP "The Pleasure Is Goldmine" (2022), the new release by Olivier Rocabois is called "The Afternoon of our Lives". The songmaker from Brittany has written and composed 11 new numbers for this second solo LP. The A side was recorded at the legendary Studios de La Frette (Arctic Monkeys, Marianne Faithfull, Nick Cave) with his band whereas he cut solo tracks for the B side in various studios around Paris and in a church somewhere in Normandy. A string quartet can be heard on a couple of tracks including "Prologue / Trippin' on Memory Lane", the long baroque pop piece that shines at the center of the album. Heavily influenced by the late Beatles and Hunky Dory / Aladdin Sane-Bowie but also The Beach Boys or The Divine Comedy, the record also contains more adventurous tracks and even two potential hits which could keep your dancefloor packed all night long! Olivier has been touring extensively last year (playing venues in Paris like Le Café de la Danse and Les Trois Baudets) and a summer/autumn tour is in the pipeline. Special 10th Anniversary Edition In Brown Card Artboard Sleeve With Additional Lyric Print Insert Slowdive singer and songwriter's third solo album, which was originally released in November 2012. It is a stunning record and one which, upon its release, underlined the claims that Neil was one of the finest and most underrated British songwriters of recent times. It's also a very special release in the Sonic Cathedral catalogue; the shoegaze label licensed the record from Jack Johnson's Brushfire imprint for the UK and Europe and it was the start of a relationship that also gave us the Black Hearted Brother album in 2013 and, ultimately, brought about the reformation of Slowdive in 2014. But Palindrome Hunches is a very different beast. Both stately and understated, this moody and mesmerising collection of peculiarly British folk songs was made with the Band of Hope, a Wallingford, Oxfordshire based collective consisting of Ben Smith (violin), Drew Milloy (double bass), Paul Whitty (piano) and Tom Crook (guitar). Together with producer Nick Holton, banjo player Kevin Wells and backing singer Aimee Craddock, they recorded the album to tape over a few weekends in the music room of their local junior school. "At first we were going to record in a studio, but everything seemed too clean," said Neil at the time. "We just went through the songs and recorded them live without very much rehearsal. We wanted to be spontaneous and simple and to keep the little mistakes that sneaked in." Leave Me Alone is the debut album of Nick Oliveri's Uncontrollable, a solo project created by Nick Oliveri (Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Dwarves, Mondo Generator) released in 2014 on Schnitzel Records. It was recorded in 2013 at Thunder Underground Studios in Palm Springs, California by Harper Hug & Trevor Whatever. Nick Oliveri performs all of the instruments (vocals, guitar, bass & drums) on the album as well as all of the production & writing of the songs. He also recruited guest performers in such as Blag Dahlia of The Dwarves & Motörhead's Phil Campbell. The album is dedicated to deceased Eyehategod drummer Joey LaCaze. Heavy Psych Sounds is releasing a brand new Repress with new colured vinyl.

During the holidays of 2023, Brigid Dawson and I got together at my house in Los Angeles and started transcribing a nice list of songs. Some new some very old that I’ve never been played live ever and put together a holiday set list which we performed two nights in a row at Permanent Records Roadhouse in Los Angeles and did a bit of it at a charity event at the Lodge Room. Seven tunings later… It was a lot of fun and there was a lot of libation and celebration. We surrounded ourselves with good friends and came up with this charming off kilter set of recordings. I think they capture the casual energy of the evening in the mood of the crowd. Hope you enjoy. The drummer makes the band they say… What do you do when your own solo project starts feeling too limiting and confined? The answer of course, is you start another solo project. And that is exactly what drummer, guitar player, singer, bass player, percussionist, composer, producer, video director, art director etc. Patrik Jansson did. Being a child of the 70´s Patrik Jansson grew up listening to the music of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy and Jimi Hendrix and as he started playing himself, first the drums at the age of four and then later on the guitar, he developed an interest in all kinds of music not just blues and roots based. Fast forward to 2020 when the pandemic struck, and Patrik Jansson got some time off to start recording songs that had been piling up over a couple of years. Being a creative person and always looking for new challenges can be both a blessing and a curse and this was det the ultimate challenge. Working alone in his own studio, playing all the instruments himself, he ended up with 16 recorded songs, more than enough for a complete album. That sparked a vision of getting to play these songs live in a band context and just like that a new project was born. ”I believe there is only two kinds of music, good and bad. Listening to and playing so many different kinds of music, from Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, John Coltrane, Chic Corea and Weather Report to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath to name a few, there has never been a shortage of influences. If it sounds good, it is good! It was quite liberating to create music without putting up any limitations or boundaries and the mix of different genres and styles is bound to be nothing less than interesting. This is the first time I have played all the instrument myself. It was a great experience, and it was great to have the time to really find the right feel and sound for each song. This album is 100% me. It’s a mix of everything that I have played and listened to throughout my career. It's dark, beautiful, heavy, rootsy, groovy, and interesting all the way through. Through the fog of our grief in the wake of the earth-shattering loss of our beloved angel Stevie, on this
day which would have been her 35th birthday, we announce the release of Mope Groove’s final album; Box
of Dark Roses. A 27 song, 2XLP of songs that Stevie prepared for release before she left. In addition to the
music, Stevie provided extensive liner notes to accompany the album. These are included with the album in
the form of a zine, or as a digital PDF, respectively.

gender marginalized ppl incarcerated for defending themselves against their attackers. funds will be
allocated to the Survived and Punished NY Mutual Aid Fund, a comparable organization, or directly into
commissary funds or fundraisers of incarcerated survivors.

Three years ago I dug up the original tapes for Maybe We're Making God Sad and Lonely and had them remixed/remastered as we had zero budget for mixing when the album was originally recorded. We decided to release this new version as MAY YOU DIE WELL which was the original title. It was changed to MWMGSAL after hiring artist William Schaff to produce a cover for us. He titled his artwork MWMGSAL and we thought that was a better title so we went with it. For this new version though we've commissioned new artwork by Chloe Manon and are using the original title. The mixing by Nick Bassett really makes these old tunes come to life and it's amazing to finally hear this album the way it always should've been heard.

Xingu (1972) by Combo Xingu is released now on vinyl, from the original IRT masters!Combo Xingu was a short-lived band formed by students of the Chilean university of music, and ex members of the Beat Combo in 1971 and their career ended in 1973.They left two very original albums, being the first band to play soul and funk in Chile, with influence of the "nueva canción" and pop-rock touches. And a very powerful sound. In days of high politicization of music, the so-called New Song was undoubtedly the one that monopolized the media. In that environment appears the Combo Xingu, a band far from the Latin Americanist line and political ebullition, took elements of soul and funk to build this jewel mostly ignored at the time, which is his only legacy.Stevie Wonder and James Brown are their most notorious references, but they also bring their own personality and elements, especially in the song 'Black Power', as the band's position.It is also worth mentioning a memorable interpretation of Led Zeppelin's classic 'Moby Dick'. Far from the conjunctural, the band dissolves with only two years and one album to their credit, separated from the mainstream by a style that although it was very popular in the north, was of null diffusion in Chile, but they leave this unique piece as a sample of other bands that would come years later to continue their legacy, ahead for the times.

Thank You For Today, Death Cab for Cutie's ninth studio album, was produced and mixed by Rich Costey (Fiona Apple, Franz Ferdinand, Muse), who also produced the band's last album the GRAMMY® nominated Kintsugi. Thank You for Today marks the first Death Cab for Cutie release to see long time bandmates Gibbard, Nick Harmer, and Jason McGerr joined in the studio by new members Dave Depper (Menomena, Fruit Bats, Corin Tucker, Ray Lamontagne) and Zac Rae (My Brightest Diamond, Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey, Gnarls Barkley). The collaboration between renowned drummer Jim White and acclaimed guitarist Marisa Anderson is a natural union of two of the most intuitive players and listeners working in music. Jim White is known for his groundbreaking trio, Dirty Three, as well as duo, Xylouris White. His list of collaborations is vast and include artists such as Nick Cave, Bill Callahan, Cat Power, Marnie Stern and Warren Ellis. Jim just released his debut solo album, All Hits: Memories. Marisa Anderson, known primarily for her solo work, in demand collaborator who has worked with Tashi Dorji, Sharon Van Etten, Yasmine Williams and Michael Hurley. She has released records with William Tyler and Tara Jane O"neal. White and Anderson are each highly sought after collaborators in no small part because of their mastery, versatility and highly expressive playing. Their sophomore album, Swallowtail, finds the duo completely attuned to each other, fluidly moving as wind and water. They avoid preconceived movements, instead focusing on their musical conversation. As Anderson puts it: "The ideas aren"t the music, they are the pathway into the musical possibilities." Deluxxe is a new post punk/new wave band from Buffalo, NY. It was formed by Mason and Greg, and later completed with Nick, Bailey and Mackenzie, sharing members of Oi and hardcore bands such as Violent Way, Bad Blood and Exhibition. Their punk background can be heard in the music, but it's the love for new wave, post punk, darkwave, and goth that led to creation of their debut record "If You Were Me". Written in the cold winters of Buffalo, you can almost feel the harshness of the weather affecting the sounds that propagate from these grooves. Icy and frostbitten but somehow still relevantly civic and urban. The Chameleons and The Sound are two main references here, but that whole cold dimension is rocked by a strong pop vein reminiscent of After The Snow-era Modern English and occasionally enhanced by a hoarseness typical of a young Paul Weller. Passionate lyricism proper of Echo And The Bunnymen and hopeless romanticism à la Sad Lovers And Giants get balanced by a sharp songwriting which keeps everything in perfect order, giving you exactly what you need, nothing more and nothing less. You can tell some skinheads are involved here because the outcome is so tidy and neat, without losing one inch of atmosphere or enchantment. If you are wondering how something that was invented forty years ago can still sound, literally, fresh and cool, look no further because what this band delivers lives just up to its name.

Cabaret-darkwave-psych-synth-post rock band Pleasure Forever (ex: The VSS, Rabbits, Red Sparowes) have emerged from a 20 year hiatus with their latest offering since 2003's "Alter" on Sub Pop. Incorporating elements from bands like Nick Cave, The VSS, CAN, Cluster, The Doors, The Damned, Scott Walker, and Crime and the City Solution, Pleasure Forever paints a sonic tapestry that is quite unlike anything you've heard.
