The session was recorded in a single afternoon in a few takes under the guidance of longstanding BBC engineers Guy Worth and Clive Painter, and mastered and cut for vinyl by Carl Saff.

"Ellipses dans l"harmonie - Lights in the dark" is the last work released by Teho Teardo on his imprint Specula Records. This work is entirely inspired by the music contained in the pages of one of the iconic texts of the 18th century, the Encyclopédie by Diderot and D"Alembert, the original copy of which is kept in the archives of the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation, which produced and commissioned the album. This is the first time the Foundation has produced a musical work. In "Ellipses dans l"harmonie", there is not only a homage to the Encyclopédie, but also a political connection to the spirit of the Enlightenment that guided the genesis of the work and the current need for light in the face of the new obscurantism.At the origins of the Encyclopaedia"s cultural enterprise are three roots: memory, reason and imagination. They are three dimensions that draw attention to three needs that still interrogate us today: to know the past in order to understand the origins of the problems we face today; to exercise rational criticism in order to orient ourselves in reality without taking refuge in bewilderment in the face of the complex challenges it poses to us; to continue to think about different balances in order to want to design a different world.

Love Battery were one of the most original bands to come out of the Seattle "grunge" scene, and one of a kind when it comes to alternative rock bands. Confusion Au Go Go is their the final studio album, originally released in 1998 on C/Z Records (Seattle), then only on CD format. Now it is finally released on vinyl and it has been remastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden_) in order to get the purest sound. Sleeve art by Alexander Tucker We are delighted to announce the release date for our next Latitudes session, a recording by the very wonderful duo Grumbling Fur. Featuring two of our favourite people and musicians, Alexander Tucker and Daniel O'Sullivan. Both of these gentlemen have graced the series previously - Daniel with his Victorian prog-synth band Miasma And The Carousel Of Headless Horses, and Alexander with Ginnugagap, a solo session, and a guest appearance on a forthcoming set from Bardo Pond. We have long held a flame for Furrier, the Grumbling Fur album on the icy cool Aurora Borealis label. We quickly invited them for a session - but with little expectation of anything happening in the near future. This was a group whose members define the word prolific - O'Sullivan himself had at least four bands on the go at the time. Still, we're nothing if not hopeful. Lo and behold, he Fur came back with not only a date for recording, but the tantalising prospect of a new sound - more focussed and stripped back - with more op' sensibilities coming to the fore. The results are stellar. As soon as the loping breakbeat and pentatonic piano run of "Wylderness Waiting" kicked in, we knew he Fur had created something very special on our behalf - the extra space and minimal approach providing a wonderful backdrop to Alex and Daniel's instantly recognisable lyrical harmonies. Born and raised in Phoenix and now living in Los Angeles, Hill got her start in 2014 when her self-released single “Experience,” the second song Hill had ever recorded, started attracting attention online. GRAVETEMPLE was formed in 2006 as a side-project of the band SUNN O))) by Oren Ambarchi, Stephen O'Malley and Attila Csihar. The group formed initially to tour in Israel summer 06, creating several recordings which eventually became "The Holy Down" album, which was released on Southern Lord recordings in2007. At the time of the Israel tour, the Lebanon War started and was in action. In Summer 08 the trio reformed together with the addition of Australian drummer Matt "Skitz" Sanders for a short European tour culminating at a headlining performance at Supersonic Festival in Birmingham. In late 2009 the original trio reconvened for a special one-off concert at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts. April 2013 marks the first set of live action since that period, and a new chapter in the ongoing system of the related network. "Ambient/Ruin" was created with the 2008 quartet, elements of tape collage, concrete, field recordings blend within a strong geographically diverse (parts were recorded in Japan, Australia, Paris and Israel) suite of heavy minimalist/maximalist music, black/death metal and drone. The culmination of these efforts becomethe music, literally, of Sadistik Exekution meeting Phill Niblock. GRAVETEMPLE clearly adapted the aspects more abstract and experimental related to SUNN O))) and has continued from that point, with continued ongoing focus on metaphysical construction of free music and will. The music became a geographically and metaphysically based effort.

Finally, the time has come! After an eight-year wait, The Libertines fans have a reason to rejoice again.

On 08.03.2024, the British band will release their new album "All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade"! The fourth studio album comprises 11 new songs by the four-piece band.

The songs were written in Port Antonio, Jamaica and later recorded in "The Albion Rooms" in Margate together with Grammy nominated producer Dimitri Tikovoi (The Horrors/Charlie XCX/Becky Hill). The album was mixed by the legendary Dan Grech (Lana Del Rey/Liam Gallagher/Paul McCartney).

The first single "Run Run Run" is about the pursuit of freedom and already gives a foretaste of the musical journey that awaits fans on the album.

"This one feels like we were all actually in the same place, at the same speed, and we really connected," Carl explains of the collaboration on the new record.

The band released their last album "Anthems for Doomed Youth" in 2015 and wowed the music world.

including a duet with his longtime musical partner PJ Harvey.
Bird Dog Dante was completed in a busy year for Parish. On top of
being the musical director of the extended PJ Harvey band on their
Hope Six Demolition Project world tour, he produced acclaimed
albums for This is the Kit, Nadine Khouri, and Aldous Harding.
John is an exceptionally skilled artist with a youthful delight and a
creative open mind, as well as the ability to masterfully expand on
those ideas. It is clear why Uncut said that “Parish is one of Britain’s
most resourceful and imaginative studio craftsmen.”
John’s recent solo records were instrumental, and mostly included
works composed for flm. While Bird Dog Dante contains a few
pieces written for flm, it is his frst song oriented album in nearly a
decade. Working while touring allowed him to bounce lyrics off his
long time musical partner PJ Harvey. On “Sorry for Your Loss,” a song
about their close friend Mark Linkous, it seemed only ftting to take it
further and sing the song as a duet. The music is gentle and quiet, not
unlike its creator, and its heft comes through its emotional depth and
its subtle delights from unexpected sound choices and processing.

The Wynder K. Frog story evolves around Mick Weaver. After he switched from piano to organ he joined a band named The Chapters that would soon be renamed Wynder K. Frog and perform material from James Brown's Flames, Booker T. and The MGs or even songs learned through Georgie Fame's recordings and Graham Bond's repertoire. Wynder K. Frog moved to London and became regulars in the city's R&B scene playing at Swingin' London's clubs like the Tiles or The Marquee. A contract with Island Records was secured and -under the wings of producers like Chris Blackwell, Guy Stevens, Jimmy Miller or Gus Dudgeon- Wynder K Frog, a name that would eventually be used as a pseudonym for Weaver more than a proper band name, did some some amazing Hammond organ-ized recordings and issued in three LPs and a bunch of cool 45s.

At the end of the 1960s, Weaver would quit the "band scene" to become one of the most in demand session musicians and throughout his career he'd be heard backing names such as Eric Burdon, Roger Chapman, Dave Gilmour, Keef Hartley, Alexis Korner, Ralph McTell, Taj Mahal or Otis Rush a.o, but his LPs as Wynder K Frog are classic Hammond sound from the 1960s UK and will appeal to those into Brian Auger, Graham Bond, The Artwoods, Zoot Money, Jimmy McGriff, Booker T. & The MGs and the likes.

OUT OF THE FRYING PAN
Released at the end of the summer of 1968, and with a host of session musicians that included the brass section of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, producer Gus Dudgeon helped Weaver / Wynder K Frog to improve the results obtained on the debut LP and get one step closer to the live action. The formula was more or less the same, instrumental hammond a go go covers of hits from the era, including The Rolling Stones' "Jumping Jack Flash", a funked up version of the classic Tommy Tucker blues number "Hi Heel Sneakers", an exploding cover of "Tequila" or the standard "Green Door", but it also included the sensational Weaver-penned "Harpsichord Shuffle".

INTO THE FIRE
The third Wynder K Frog album was released only in the USA in 1970, once Weaver had already abandoned the project and started his session musician career. Out Of The Frying Pan was doing well in the States, copies still selling steadily since it had appeared, and United Artists thought it'd be a good idea to release it under the Into The Fire title in order to present it as kind of a sequel to Frying Pan. The material, mostly written by Weaver and his side men for the sessions, takes the sound one step further adding heavier sounds and funkier rhythms, not far from what was being done in USA studios like Muscle Shoals at that time.

SUNSHINE SUPER FROG
Recorded mostly in 1966 and issued in 1967, Wynder K Frog's first LP came out of sessions produced by Chris Blackwell, Jimmy Miller and Syd Dale. Weaver was assuming more and more the identity of Wynder K Frog and was backed by session musicians rather than by his live band. It consisted in organ led instrumental covers of songs from the Island catalogue, some built over rejected backing tracks for other artists of the label like Jimmy Cliff, Jackie Edwards and Owen Gray and some new recordings of hits like Spencer Davis Group's "Somebody Help Me", plus some covers of american R&B hits by the likes of Sam & Dave, Willie Mitchell or Wilson Pickett. The end result gave an idea of the Wynder K Frog sound, resulting in a top mix of dance club go-go sounds, perfect for any allnighter at the Tiles or any Swingin' London venue of the 1960s. First ever vinyl reissue. Limited edition to 500 copies only. Bonus tracks not on the original LP. Remastered sound. Insert with liner notes by Nick Rossi and photos. Emerging from the swamps of “the other Bay Area”, Tampa, Florida’s Heaven's Gate debut with their first release, a self titled 12" released via Beach Impediment Records. Heaven’s Gate consists of Tony Foresta (municipal Waste) on vocals, Mike GOO (warthog) Goo on guitar, Jeff Howe (reversal OF Man) on bass, and Paul Mazurkiewicz (cannibal Corpse) on drums. Consisting of five tracks that merge an amalgam of hardcore, punk and extreme metal's most aggressive elements, this initial offering from Heaven's Gate showcases a range of colliding styles that are to be expected from these veterans of varied approaches to heavy music. Recorded across 2022 by Jeramie Kling and Taylor Nordberg, mixed by Will Killingsworth and mastered by Joel Grind, this one sided 12" with a marvelously etched b-side adorned with the band's logo comes in a full color jacket featuring the intricate artwork of Alexander Heir (death/traitors, L.O.T.I.O.N.).

Jack’s Mannequin is the side project of Andrew McMahon from pop punk band Something Corporate. They recorded three albums during their existence. McMahon crafted some incredible pop songs for the band. Their final album, People and Things, was released in 2011. For People and Things, the band worked with some notable guest musicians, including Jamie Muhoberac, Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, and Patrick Warren. Rob Cavallo (Green Day, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Eric Clapton a.o.) and Jim Scott (The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sting, Wilco a.o.) served as coproducers. Two singles were released: “My Racing Thoughts” and “Release Me”. People and Things received favourable reviews, with critics particularly praising McMahon’s songwriting.

The album is released as a limited edition of 3000 individually numbered copies on orange coloured vinyl, and includes an insert.

Tony Price returns to Telephone Explosion Records with the new "Hit Piece" LP. The album is his first full-length since his 2022 release, "ibm CONTRA," on L.I.E.S. Founded by its only constant member, Mark E. Smith, The Fall formed in Manchester in 1976 and were one of the most prominent post-punk groups in the world. Musically, there may have been several stylistic changes over the years, but it was often characterised by an abrasive guitar-driven sound and frequent use of repetition, always underpinned by Smith's distinctive vocals and often cryptic lyrics. “Dragnet” is the second studio album – released 26th October 1979. Originally released through record label Step-Forward, it predicated 2 major factors in the group’s career – high productivity and high group turnover.
