Record Store Day 2021 Release. 40 year anniversary release of this in demand modern soul masterpiece. For their third vinyl outing, Selector Series dig into the Archives of New Jersey’s Debbie Records from 1981 to re-issue this storming boogie re interpretation of The Carpenters standard, which found itself a legion of fans in the UK thanks to Gary Dennis’s championing of it. In a pre Discogs era, this record attracted a £400 price tag amongst serious collectors back in the late eighties, with the original pressings still going for £500+ even now. The album has been re issued by several different labels over the ensuing years, but this double header is being made available for Record Store Day on a seven inch format for the first time officially, featuring the original album sleeve artwork.

Never A Dull Moment! - Live from Coast to Coast (1966-1967) is a previously unissued collection of live recordings of unsung piano and vocal icon Les McCann captured at the Penthouse jazz club in Seattle from January 27 and February 3 & 10, 1966 with Stan Gilbert, Paul Humphrey and Tony Bazley; also including recordings by Resonance founder and co-president George Klabin from the Village Vanguard on July 16, 1967 with Leroy Vinnegar and Frank Severino. This is an official release in cooperation with Les McCann. Transferred from the original tape reels and mastered for vinyl by the legendary Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios

The orchestra is recognized in the world for its unique and fresh approach to historical music and its beautiful sound. The concerts of Holland Baroque Society emanate with an extraordinary energy of inspirational relations among the artists, and a particular involvement of the band in their musical performance. Leszek Mozdzer and Holland Baroque Society, i.e. Bach fundamentals and jazz temperament, have a surprisingly great deal in common, and their new, especially written repertoire is another stage of a consequently implemented artistic vision blurring the boundaries between classical music and jazz.

This limited edition 7" collects three unreleased tracks from the recording sessions from Los Mambo Jambo's third album, Jambology: ‘Cayo Diablo’, ‘El Último Shimmy’ i ‘Experiment In Honk’. It was published on June 20th to support the campaign 'Salvemos Las Tiendas De Discos' (Save The Record Stores) promoted by Record Store Day Spain.

Armstrong is joined by his All-Stars, including Trummy Young, Edmund Hall, Billy Kyle, and Velma Middleton. M.E.B. (formerly Miles Electric Band) led by Vince Wilburn, Jr is a progressive All-Star ensemble of Miles Davis alumni and players Miles inspired. This never-before-released studio recording captures a multi-generational Who’s Who of acclaimed artists performing new Miles-inspired compositions.

Produced by Miles alumni Lenny White and Wilburn, the album features music legends including Ron Carter, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Donald Harrison, Darryl Jones, Vernon Reid and John Scofield, and two of the five tracks include unreleased trumpet performances by Miles Davis himself.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Wallace Roney and Bernard Wright and contains some of their final recordings. The cover is an original painting by Miles Davis associate/artist Mikel Elam. Pressed on opaque pink vinyl, this is the exclusive vinyl release for this title.

When Madlib went to Brazil in 2002 with Mochilla to participate in the production of the Brazilintime documentary, his one mission was to meet Ivan “Mamao” Conti, the drummer of the legendary trio Azymuth. Madlib had made an Azymuth tribute record he wanted to play for him. On a rainy night in Rio, Mamao and Madlib went in the studio. Several hours later the rhythm tracks that make up Sujinho were laid and the process began. Featuring the music of Madlib, Mamao, Edu Lobo, Chico Buarque de Hollanda, Luiz Eca, Baden Powell, Vinicius De Moraes, Marcos Valle, Joao Donato, Dom Um Romao, Airto Moreira and even George Duke… and with guest vocals by Thalma De Freitas — Sujinho is a unique and classic record. The Nashville crew are back with another slab of top shelf vintage tinged funk. The limited 500 pressing, dinked 45, is their 6th seven inch record to date. This time showcasing a superb horn section, with a sleazy bass permeating the groove.

‘Stay In Your Lane’ bursts through with a dramatic cadence of slick guitar, aggres- sive bass, subtle wah-wah, and a soulful bridge section. Smooth and cinematic

library style funk at it’s finest. ‘Measly Peace’ shows off a hypnotic groove, with tight drums, and lush chords, with a driving rhythm reminiscent of a 70’s cop show theme, but with some new age flair.
