Levi Strauss pioneered the art of constructing garment out of a rugged cotton twill fabric called denim in 1870 (!); in the 1920s modern jeans began to appear, and finally in the 1960s rebelling youth cultures adopted the style. Until now, the Levi's® 501® are the most famous denim pants of all times due to the perfect fit and the high-quality processing. With this version, Levi's® Vintage Clothing presents a faithful replica of the 501® from the time of the Great Depression of 1937 with cinch-back, but for the first time without the buttons for suspenders that were still common at that time. The Levi's® Vintage Clothing 1937 501® is equipped with a branded button fly, logo-stamped rivets at front pocket, contrast stitching, the legendary Two Horse label on the rear of the waistband, the aforementioned cinch-back detail, the Red Tab woven label next to right back pocket hem, plus signature batwing stitching on both back pockets. Regular fit, straight legs, lower waist. 100% cotton Japanese selvedge denim, 10.8 (shrink-to-fit).
