Established in Japan in 1947, Edwin founder K.K. Tsunemi had a passion for denim pants, which inspired him to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time. Used, worn-out and dirty denim which had to be laundered and mended by hand in order to sell on to his customers. In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans; utilizing the letters D, E, N, I plus M (reversing the M creating a W), he created the brand name Edwin. By 1963 Edwin had produced the world’s heaviest ring-spun denim jeans (16 oz), featuring the famous three-color rainbow selvedge, which is still being used today. In the 1970s, Edwin were the first company in the world to develop old wash designed to replicate denim which have been worn from its rigid, unwashed state traditionally designed for workwear due to its durability. In the 1980s, Edwin revolutionized the whole denim world by inventing the process of stone washing. Nowadays, Edwin offers some of the most wanted vintage denim pants and uses exclusive fabrics and fabrication, unique technology, hand wash processes, and continual progression in design and fit. The classic Edwin five pocket construction ED-55 Denim Pants are equipped with features such as a branded front center button, a button fly, an off-centered Edwin leather label at the rear of the waistband, a back yoke, signature stitching on back pockets, tonal stitching as well as metal rivets or bartack stitching at vital stress points. The Tuff Tony by Nudie Jeans are loose- fitting denim pants in a beautifully simple, deep blue wash. The wash of these Nudie Jeans design is inspired by the absolute simplest treatment: a single dry denim wash at home. The denim has a vintage-like, deep indigo blue hue with distinctive yarn thickening. The wash has changed the color from a dark bluish-gray to a deep, red-tinged blue. This gives the once neat, flat denim texture an irregular, structured look. The denim was carefully selected for its deep blue hue and embodies the heritage of pure indigo dyed redcast denim. The irregular yarn thickenings are reminiscent of workwear from the early 20th century. A pair of jeans with a contemporary twist that pays homage to vintage style, yet is modern and will become a vintage classic in the future. With regular wear and washing, this version of the Nudie Jeans Tuff Tony will age naturally, developing natural wear marks that will reveal their beauty over time.

At this version of the Nudie Jeans Rad Rufus, a rinse (aka the simplest of denim washes) brings out the denim’s texture and enhances the jacket’s blue hue. The 40s Redcast is crafted from highly textural denim, featuring yarn slubs in both the warp and weft. This combination creates a striking blend of crosshatch and marble textures. Adding to its vintage feel are small cotton "neps" - tiny bundles of white cotton fibers - that introduce an extra layer of texture. The denim’s medium-dark indigo shade, accentuated by a distinct redcast, is the result of pure indigo dye and precise absorption during the dyeing process.

As captivating as they are right out of the gate, these Nudie Jeans Rad Rufus denim pants are destined to evolve into bright blue, texturally rich vintage wonders. With each wear and wash, they undergo a slow, graceful transformation. Simply put, this Nudie Jeans desin crafted for both immediate allure and enduring beauty over time.

Made from elitist Nihon Menpu natural red selvage denim, the classic Edwin five pocket construction Regular Tapered Jeans are equipped with features such as a branded front center button, a button fly, an off-centered Edwin leather label at the rear of the waistband, a back yoke, signature stitching on back pockets, tonal stitching as well as metal rivets or bartack stitching at vital stress points. Regular fit with lower waist and tapered legs from the knee down; 100% cotton Nihon Menpu natural red selvage denim, 13 oz. Made in Japan.

This right here is the comfort stretch version of Nudie Jeans' first ever selvage denim from legendary Japanese denim mill Kaihara. The rigid version left 'em in awe back in 2001, and thanks to its excellent aging property, it still does to this day. This version of the Nudie Jeans Grim Tim is developed to possess the same aging property but with stretch, making it comfortable and appropriate for slim fits.

"The Dry Original Selvage" has a deep indigo warp, unbleached, vintage-inspired "ecru" weft, tight construction, dry hand, and starchy crispiness. It is pure beauty in its dry state, but the most significant part of the denim is its aging property - how it evolves with wearing. To understand it, let us get a bit technical. The warp is first dyed in a dark sulfur dye and subsequently in indigo. This dyeing technique adds a deep and muted indigo blue hue that looks utterly beautiful, accompanied by the signature orange thread. It's also responsible for the denim's intriguing nuances as it ages. The denim is equipped with a slight greenish-blue hue that becomes more evident with wearing. With years of wear and some washes - as the dark denim turns lighter in tone - the greencast starts to lean towards a redcast, clear blue, hue.

Nudie Jeans recommend six months of everyday wear before the first wash, if not longer. This way, you will end up with a beautiful pair of worn-in jeans. It sure is a long time; however, it's only a recommendation. As long as you give them love, the result will be great.

The Nudie Jeans Grim Tim denim pants are equipped with the following features:

• 5-pocket denim construction
• branded button fly
• 2 front pockets plus coin pocket at wearer's right

• 2 self-fabric patch pockets with signature wavy stitching at the rear
• Nudie Jeans woven mini label on right rear pocket
• bar-tack stitching at vital stress points
• contrast stitching
• mid waist, straight legs with small openings
• slim fit
• 98% organic cotton, 2% elastane Japanese comfort stretch selvage denim, 13.5 oz
