Established in Japan in 1947, Edwin founder K.K. Tsunemi had a passion for denim pants, which inspired him to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time. Used, worn-out and dirty denim which had to be laundered and mended by hand in order to sell on to his customers. In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans; utilizing the letters D, E, N, I plus M (reversing the M creating a W), he created the brand name Edwin. By 1963 Edwin had produced the world’s heaviest ring-spun denim jeans (16 oz), featuring the famous three-color rainbow selvedge, which is still being used today. In the 1970s, Edwin were the first company in the world to develop old wash designed to replicate denim which have been worn from its rigid, unwashed state traditionally designed for workwear due to its durability. In the 1980s, Edwin revolutionized the whole denim world by inventing the process of stone washing. Nowadays, Edwin offers some of the most wanted vintage denim pants and uses exclusive fabrics and fabrication, unique technology, hand wash processes, and continual progression in design and fit. The classic Edwin five pocket construction ED-55 Pants are equipped with features such as a branded front center button, a button fly, an off-centered Edwin leather label at the rear of the waistband, a back yoke, signature stitching on back pockets, contrast stitching as well as metal rivets or bartack stitching at vital stress points. Relaxed fit with lower waist and tapered legs from the knee down; 100% cotton Yoshiko Left Hand Denim, 12.6 oz.

This one's Nudie Jeans heritage, the 13.75 oz. Kaihara selvage that has been with the brand since 2001 - a fabric with the potential to become the greatest looking denim you ever put on. The Kaihara selvage denim is tightly woven and has a right-hand construction with slubby yarns. It's also equipped with an orange selvage ID line, a feature made exclusively for Nudie Jeans. We recommend 6 months of hard, every day, wear before the first wash, if not even longer. This way you will end up with a beautiful pair of worn-in jeans. It sure is a long time, however, it's only a recommendation. As long as you give them love, the result will be great.

• 5-pocket denim construction
• branded button fly

This right here is the comfort stretch version of Nudie Jeans' first ever selvage denim from legendary Japanese denim mill Kaihara. The rigid version left 'em in awe back in 2001, and thanks to its excellent aging property, it still does to this day. This version of the Nudie Jeans Grim Tim is developed to possess the same aging property but with stretch, making it comfortable and appropriate for slim fits.

"The Dry Original Selvage" has a deep indigo warp, unbleached, vintage-inspired "ecru" weft, tight construction, dry hand, and starchy crispiness. It is pure beauty in its dry state, but the most significant part of the denim is its aging property - how it evolves with wearing. To understand it, let us get a bit technical. The warp is first dyed in a dark sulfur dye and subsequently in indigo. This dyeing technique adds a deep and muted indigo blue hue that looks utterly beautiful, accompanied by the signature orange thread. It's also responsible for the denim's intriguing nuances as it ages. The denim is equipped with a slight greenish-blue hue that becomes more evident with wearing. With years of wear and some washes - as the dark denim turns lighter in tone - the greencast starts to lean towards a redcast, clear blue, hue.

Nudie Jeans recommend six months of everyday wear before the first wash, if not longer. This way, you will end up with a beautiful pair of worn-in jeans. It sure is a long time; however, it's only a recommendation. As long as you give them love, the result will be great.

The Nudie Jeans Grim Tim denim pants are equipped with the following features:

• 5-pocket denim construction
• branded button fly
• 2 front pockets plus coin pocket at wearer's right
• branded metal rivets at front pockets
• Nudie Jeans jacron faux leather label on the rear of the waistband
• 2 self-fabric patch pockets with signature wavy stitching at the rear
• Nudie Jeans woven mini label on right rear pocket
• bar-tack stitching at vital stress points
• contrast stitching
• mid waist, straight legs with small openings
• slim fit
• 98% organic cotton, 2% elastane Japanese comfort stretch selvage denim, 13.5 oz

The Steady Eddie II by Nudie Jeans has been finished with a carefully crafted used wash that shows authenticity at its best. The rough texture of the denim not only gives this version of the Nudie Jeans Steady Eddie II a rich depth of color, but also lively textured effects. A subtle tint gives the denim a hint of warmth with a slight green undertone, while masterful abrasion and wear marks contribute to an authentic, worn look - this is denim and wash craftsmanship at its imperfect best.

Tsunemi had a passion for denim pants, which inspired him to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time. In 1961 Mr. Tsunemi crafted the first pair of Edwin denim jeans; utilizing the letters D, E, N, I plus M (reversing the M creating a W), he created the brand name Edwin. In the 1970s, Edwin were the first company in the world to develop old wash designed to replicate denim which have been worn from its rigid, unwashed state traditionally designed for workwear due to its durability. Inspired by the classic ED-47 five pocket construction, the ED-47 Regular Straight Denim Pants are equipped with features such as a branded front center button, a button fly, an off-centered Edwin leather label at the rear of the waistband, a back yoke, signature stitching on back pockets, contrast stitching as well as metal rivets or bartack stitching at vital stress points.

Made from 13 oz Kaihara pure indigo stretch denim, the classic Edwin five pocket construction entitled ED-55 Denim Pants are equipped with features such as a branded front center button, a button fly, an off-centered Edwin leather label at the rear of the waistband, a back yoke, signature stitching on back pockets, contrast stitching as well as metal rivets or bartack stitching at vital stress points. This version of the Nudie Jeans Steady Eddie II is a regular fit jeans with a tapered leg in a denim fabric that stays black. The Everblack fabric by Nudie Jeans is made to keep its color as long as possible. It can withstand 40 or more washes without any noticeable loss of color. To optimize the denim for fit, these jeans have been rinsed, making the Nudie Jeans Steady Eddie II stretchy and soft. If you're looking for a pair of pitch black jeans that won't fade, you've found the right model here.

The difference between Everblack and other black denim is as follows:
Normally, when denim is dyed, some of the dye is absorbed into the cotton fibers, while the rest just remains bound to the surface of the yarns. This is what gives denim its ageing properties, which are highly sought after in many cases. When it comes to black jeans, however, this is not always the case, which is why Nudie Jeans have developed Everblack denim. The technical difference between Everblack and regular black denim is that Everblack uses a method and type of dye that allows for improved absorption as well as stronger fixation. The result is denim with a significantly higher color fastness that does not fade when worn and washed.

The Nudie Jeans Steady Eddie II denim pants are equipped with the following features:

• 5-pocket denim construction
• branded button fly
• 2 front pockets plus coin pocket at wearer's right
• branded metal rivets at front pockets

Here's a new design out of the Levi's® Made in Japan collection. Denim making was introduced to Japan during the World War II distribution period, and Japan artisans began to produce garments by hand on old shuttle looms. As American lifestyle and rock 'n' roll became more popular in the 1950s, Japan developed a US denim production technique and constantly refined the meticulous craftsmanship that is a tradition of Japan. Nowadays, Japanese denim is one of the most coveted fabrics in the world. In the Levi's® MIJ collection, traditional Japan techniques are incorporated into classic silhouettes that represent Levi's®, and denim is sublimated into modern art with its unparalleled craftsmanship. In addition, the Levi's® Made in Japan series is using the highest quality Japan denim fabrics.

The Levi's® MIJ Wide Pleat Crop Jeans are equipped with a distinctive silhouette including pleated classic wide legs. Originally, the silhouette has a strong street element, but it gives a sophisticated impression with rinse colors and indigo color patches, and it is easy to match with formal styling.

The Tuff Tony by Nudie Jeans are loose- fitting denim pants in a beautifully simple, deep blue wash. The wash of these Nudie Jeans design is inspired by the absolute simplest treatment: a single dry denim wash at home. The denim has a vintage-like, deep indigo blue hue with distinctive yarn thickening. The wash has changed the color from a dark bluish-gray to a deep, red-tinged blue. This gives the once neat, flat denim texture an irregular, structured look. The denim was carefully selected for its deep blue hue and embodies the heritage of pure indigo dyed redcast denim. The irregular yarn thickenings are reminiscent of workwear from the early 20th century. A pair of jeans with a contemporary twist that pays homage to vintage style, yet is modern and will become a vintage classic in the future. With regular wear and washing, this version of the Nudie Jeans Tuff Tony will age naturally, developing natural wear marks that will reveal their beauty over time.
