The M2 is back! In the sixties, this Fred Perry polo shirt was introduced as a slight modification of the twin tipped polo that was equipped with two slim stripes at the collar and cuffs. For many years it was thought to be lost, but now it's back in some nice original retro colorways and with exactly the same cut. Incidentally, the M2 polo shirt by Fred Perry is produced in Leicester, England.

The predecessor of this Fred Perry design is the father of the polo shirts, worshiped by brit-pop legends, skinheads, players, hustlers, rude boys, hooligans, mods, tennis players and other good guys out of the UK. We all know the deal: In 1952, professional tennis player Fred Perry launched what was to be his most famous garment: A cotton pique polo shirt with the world-famous Laurel Wreath embroidery. From the beginning, Fred Perry - and the tipped pique shirt in particular - has been associated with a whole series of subcultures driven by musical affinities. And it's still one of the top 10 streetwear items for those in the know.

This fabric of the KARDO Ayo Shirt is woven on a handloom using an extra weft technique which is a discontinuous weft technique of weaving. In this technique, motifs are inlaid into the fabric by adding a denser thread to warp by hand. This process is extremely difficult and time consuming involving extremely skilled textile artisans.
