Micro Wet Brush

Spray a cleaning fluid onto the velvet brush and brush along the sound groove of the record. Then wipe with a soft cloth. After use, dry the brush thoroughly, remove any dust and store it in its box. If the body becomes brown and dirty, we recommend that you replace it as soon as possible.

Spraying your records with the anti-static spray will reduce crackling during playback.

Cleaning spray for records

Application: Spray the record evenly at short intervals for a few seconds and then dry.

Antistatic cleaning spray for records. Cleaning will reduce the frictional resistance of the needle.

Cleaning spray for records. The high cleaning effect suppresses static electricity. Wipe dry after spraying.

Cleaning gel for records, floor coverings, joints, blinds or keyboards. Stubborn dirt is reliably removed. Can be used several times.

The CLV-30 cleaning cloths consist of a tailor-made knitted structure woven with ultra-fine fibres, which is particularly water-absorbent. There are two wipes in one package.

RECORD LABEL PROTECTOR FOR CLEANING

This product is a label protector that protects the label in the middle of the record from water when you clean your records with water.

Considering the requests and improvements received from users for the Label Protector 'CLP01' released in August 2019, the label protector, which screws onto the record label from both sides, has been enlarged to make it more manageable. At the same time, the thickness of the label protector has been reduced so that it is easier to hold.

A replacement rubber seal and a rubber plate are included in the delivery.

RECORD LABEL PROTECTOR FOR CLEANING

Before cleaning the record, the label protector is screwed onto the record label from both sides so that it does not come into contact with water. In this way, record labels are preserved for a long time.

The tightly woven velvet on the brush surface is ideal for cleaning the sound grooves of the record and also enhances the cleaning effect. Fine dust adhering to the record is removed. In addition to the CL-120 velvet brush, a special brush is supplied to keep the cleaning surface of the brush clean.

Your record player needle also needs cleaning and care. Due to the air pollution caused by both external influences (traffic) and domestic factors (kitchen, smoking), a sticky film can form on your records over time. During playback, the stylus scrapes this deposit out of the record groove, which in turn creates a sticky film around the tip of the stylus, which in turn traps other dirt and dust on your record.

These deposits not only affect sound quality, but can even damage your favorite records. Nagaoka AM-801's special formula efficiently dissolves and removes any sticky substances trapped on the needle.

In 1949, RCA Victor unveiled its latest invention, the 45 rpm 7 inch Vinyl Record in an effort to compete with Columbia Records newly developed 33 1/3 12 inch disc. Time constraints aside, what RCA unleashed on the world of recorded music was the perfect vehicle for the burgeoning youth market, who could now easily own the latest musical dispatches from their favorite artists, in a convenient and affordable medium.

Seventy years later, the 45 or 7 inch record has remained a staple of the vinyl collecting community. From highly valuable pressings of the world’s greatest songs to rare independent recordings of artists utilizing the format to put out “non-album” outtakes or live recordings as a gift for their fans, the 7 inch collector is a dedicated and specialized breed and they deserve to store those precious discs in the best way possible. And as with our 12 inch Vinyl Storage boxes, we have designed what we believe to be the most beautiful, and durable 7 inch storage available.

The 10 inch record has a long history dating back to 1947 and offered exclusively by Columbia Records at the time. The 10 Inch Record was revolutionary in that it offered a chance for labels and artists to present more songs on a single platter than previous iterations. The 10 inch record was originally marketed as a 'Long Playing' or LP record and reigned supreme until about 1954 with the advent and popularity of the 12 inch Record. Still and all, this proud slab of wax continues to live in hearts and bins of many collectors.

The 10 inch record is often offered as a unique keepsake for fans and a chance for an artist to release a superior sound quality recording when cut at 45 rpm. Deep uncrowded grooves!

Our Microfibre Cleaning Cloth is an extremely absorbent, high-quality and washable cloth for lint-free cleaning of LPs, CDs, Blu-Rays and all kinds of surfaces like glass, plastic or metal. With the cloth made of polyester and polyamide you can remove dirt particles with one wipe. The playback quality of sound and image carriers can thus be preserved and improved. Like all Vinyl Care by HHV products, the microfibre cloth convinces with best quality at an attractive price and comes in a stylish packaging.

Our record washing machine Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic combines over 45 years of experience in the care and cleaning of records with highly developed, state-of-the-art cleaning technology.

The combination of ultrasonic cleaning and our proven goat hair brush system ensures gentle, groove-deep cleaning of your records and an audible improvement in the sound image.

During operation, the cleaning fluid is permanently clarified by a filter system and dirt particles are filtered out to minimise impurities in the fluid and thus achieve the best possible cleaning result.
With our special cleaner, the record is treated antistatically and thus permanently prevented from renewed soiling by adhering dust.
Our washer is ready for use in just a few steps and the intuitive operation ensures optimal results from the very first record!

• The cleaning time can be conveniently adjusted to the level of soiling of the record, supported by a functional display. Possible cleaning time is between 1-5 minutes and can be set in steps of 10 seconds.
• A well visible progress indicator informs about the status of the cleaning at a glance. (1 LED = 10% of the set cleaning time).
• After use, the filtered cleaning fluid can be conveniently refilled into the bottle by pressing a button via the new solenoid valve.

After more than a year of development, we at Flux HiFi are now presented with the FLUX-Turbo. A plate brush with integrated suction. Sounds simple, but it isn’t.

The enemy of record reproduction is dust. This consists of many components. Silicates, polymers, organic substances, everything is contained. With a plate washing machine that works with a fluid, I get most of it cleaned, even release agent residues are removed. But what then? As soon as the valuable disc is put on, the dust falls on the record like snow. This creates some problems. Particles and hair settle on the needle, making scanning virtually impossible. For this purpose, the dust particles on the plate constantly cause enormous crackling noises, which lead to considerable distortions.

With a commercially available plate brush, the dust is collected, but with the exception of a few coarse particles that the brush absorbs, it is rather pressed into the groove floor and distributed, the Flux Turbo quickly provides a remedy. The suction force is so strong that almost all particles are sucked in, already in 1-2 revolutions.

The interior of the turbo is very complex. In order to achieve a well-usable suction force in this small, lightweight housing, each item had to be specially developed. From the fan wheel geometry to the shape of the suction channel, it has been optimized where it went. At the slightly inclined suction channel end you can easily see the integrated guidelines, which ensure that the whole surface is evenly extracted. An elaborate filter construction, the cartridge of which can be easily replaced, absorbs the dirt. The capacity ranges far beyond 100 applications, as well as the durability of the batteries.

Everything was thought of here. Even the velvet skids, which ensure that the surface of the record is not damaged, are easy to replace.

The brush insert made of real carbon fibers is additionally grounded, so that the sound patter is removed from the static charge, which attracts even more dust. The large contact strip under the switch is responsible for this. This is electrically connected to the conductive brush fibers.

The effect on playback is surprisingly strong. The sound seems liberated. Even complex music with strong controls is played back much less distortionally. Scanning noises, previously characteristic of analogue playback, are reduced by up to 50 by the suction before hearing. This is not about achieving clinically pure reproduction, but to get everything that is contained on the record out optimally. And that’s a lot. More than one dared to hope !

However, if the needle is dirty, the diamond , no matter how polished and ground it is – cannot exactly follow the deflection. It reacts too early or too late, distortions occur. Even supposedly clean records are covered with dust, partly visible, partly invisible in the groove. It contains particles of silicates, polymers and organic matter. These stick to the needle due to the high temperature during the scanning process. How quickly this happens is in Fig. 1. Already after playing a record side, almost nothing is recognizable from the needle in front of dirt. Figure. 2 shows the needle after cleaning with a normal, dry needle brush. Fibers are removed, but the encrustation remains. Only an aggressive liquid cleaner provides a reasonably cleaned surface of the diamond, see fig. 3. However, since these cleaners can attack not only the glue of the diamond, but also, above all, the sensitive rubber parts of the suspension of the needle carrier, caution should be exercised here. The deflections are far from the values of the actual sampling. The movement of the needle thus corresponds only to a fraction of the load of the play-off process.
A liquid is required to transfer the vibration from the device to the needle. This has an additional, gentle cleaning effect and is produced on an isopropanol basis. After application, it evaporates without residue. Flux fluid is applied on a specially designed pad made of the finest PE fibers. Already these fibers produce a capillary effect, which is very similar to the effect of a liquid, due to their number and the resulting density. In combination with FLUX-Fluid, the result is a perfect combination that transmits the vibration and absorbs the dirt at the same time. The application is recommended before each play.
