MasterSounds x HHV turntable weights are carefully designed to reduce a turntable’s noise floor and thus improve the musical soundstage. Users enjoy improved bass response, tighter mids and controlled highs as the turntable weight reduces unwanted resonance when placed via the spindle on top of a record. The X One is the substructure of the modular plate concept. The X One is made of aluminum and allows you to quickly change any plate on the PT01 Scratch. This makes it easy to reproduce different styles on a record player using different plates.
The X One, an essential basis for the Plate X One system, consists of two parts: the plate and the X One itself.

An alignment protractor is used to find the correct distance from stylus tip to tonearm pivot.

When aligning a cartridge for tangency using the alignment protractor, it is essential to remember that you are attempting to align the cantilever (and, hence, the stylus), not the cartridge body. There is no guarantee that the cantilever is perfectly aligned within the cartridge body, so simply aligning the cartridge body will not necessarily produce the desired result.

Furthermore, many cartridge bodies have non-parallel sides, making tangential alignment of the cartridge body with the lines of tangency on the gauge virtually impossible.

An alignment protractor is a plastic template onto which are printed the null point(s) and lines of tangency against which the cartridge should be aligned. The template is placed over the turntable's spindle (made possible via a spindle-sized hole drilled in the template) and placed against the platter.

Cartridge must be adjusted until the cantilever is parallel to the set of parallel lines. And this should be achieved for both the indicated points. When the cartridge's longitudinal axis is parallel with the horisontal lines, tracking error will be at a minimum.

Smooth running of the record ensures high sound quality without acoustic disturbances. Our aluminum record stabilizer weighs 420 g and distributes the weight evenly on the record. The increased contact pressure of the vinyl on the turntable ensures more even scanning.

Ortofon SB-2 Stroboscope
Ortofon SB-2 stroboscope and matching light source is essential for anyone with a turntable to precisely tune the speed of the turntable's rotation for listening to vinyl and can be used with any turntable where you can adjust the speed, including by way of moving an external motor or with a speed box that allows for fine tuning.

This fine tuning kit comes with a stroboscope record and light source. Simply place the stroboscope record on your turntable, turn on the motor and fine tune the speed whilst shining the light source onto the stroboscope record for an indication of when speed is correct. Includes rings for setting of both for 33 rpm and 45 rpm speeds and a switch for testing speed on either 50 Hz or 60 Hz motors.
