Included are a track by Hikari Zion, who stayed in Ethiopia for a long time and had many sessions with local musicians, and a dub by 2Shanti, a Himeji-based artist who provided the sound system for JAH SHAKA's tour in Japan, and also provided tracks for Alpha Steppa. A great recommendation for Japanese spiritual roots!

“VP x Panja” <1st Time 45 Series>, an analog reissue project by Panja Records of songs from the world's largest reggae record company “VP Records”, has started! Two titles by Dennis Brown and Cocoa TEA to be released at the same time! This is a masterpiece of 90's Jamaican Lovers, but although a pirate 7“ version appeared in the early 2000's, it was never officially cut as a 7” and was only included on the album.

First time on 45 for the lone tune Leroy recorded at Wackie's, next cut to the killer Love Joys' "Studio Man" rhythm.

Back with another selection from the Don, one of our favorite artists. This one is as far as we know, the only tune he voiced for Bullwackie's, and it is of course killer. Only ever released on a compilation, now on 45 for the first time backed with dub of the rhythm, well loved from the Love Joy's tune 'Studio Man.'

Time Splitters is a various artist compilation created and produced by Richmond VA based Deskulling in collaboration with veteran Spanish Town JA artist I Jahbar between 2021 and 2023. This 21 track 50 plus minute Dancehall epic also includes other veteran vocalists such as G Sudden, RDL Shellah, Buddydon, and Darkchild plus newer talents such as Fearless, Longdon, Latty, King Kush and 1 Solar Boss. Alexander West who passed away in 2023 contributes an ethereal and heartfelt album closing performance on “Granny Grenade”. Time Splitters is a sprawling creation that captures a multiplicity of emotions, life complexities, spiritual evocations, and musical dimensions. Deskulling's eclectic productions are rendered to the perfect minimalism and provide a rich and varied platform for vocal performances that move between dark and light, sad and joyful, heavy and soft. A lot of work went into this release over a few years from many people during times of inner and outer complexities, turmoils, and tribulations. Legendary Reggae vocalist Cornell Campbell is to release a new E.P entitled 'Time For Peace', to mark the 52nd Anniversary of Martin Luthur King Jr's assassination, 4th April 2021. Taking its title from Cornell's lyrical addition to Black Man In A White World, "I want you to understand, I need, I need everyone to hang on, in love, peace and unity", the new 12" EP features bold interpretations of two of soul music's most iconic songs about race, identity and injustice. Both Michael Kiwanuka's 'Black Man In A White World' and 'Outernational Blues' - a take on the Marvin Gaye classic 'Inner City Blues' - evoke the sentiment and spirit of MLK's peaceful protest, and act as a reminder as to the importance of grace, pride and dignity in difficult times. Capturing a unique combination of vocal vulnerability and wisdom, this is music that demands deep listening. Cornell Campbell's voice at 75, carries a new found poignancy and depth of emotion; one which feels perfectly suited to delivering an elders perspective on such emotionally loaded topics. The E.P was recorded and produced over four countries, with the music for all tracks having been recorded in London, England at The Total Refreshment Centre, before being voiced in Kingston Jamaica at Anchor Studios. Additional backing vocals were added at Heritage Recording Co in Burbank, California, before the track was finally mixed and produced by Sergio Lopez, in Andalucia, Spain. We've selected eight great never before reissued tracks from the catalog, plus two previously unreleased gems. As always, housed in a fresh jacket with the vibes of the time.

Here's the inaugural release in a new series from the archives of the late great engineer & producer Philip Smart. Philip's resume is impeccable - early friend and collaborator of Augustus Pablo, radio host and dj, first apprentice of King Tubby, and founder, producer and engineer at one of the major reggae studios of New York City history, Hc&f. Many years back our brother label Goldshop did a series of 45 reissues of the dancehall classics from Philip's Eclipse label. We always wanted to go deeper, but time moves fast, and unfortunately, Philip left us in 2014. But everything in due course, and now with his estate we've gone thru the archives to assemble a fantastic series of releases. This first release is a must - produced by Philip during his time as engineer at Tubby's studio, this is an awesome rockers style take on the moody Paragons classic. The flip features a classic blueprint mid 70s Tubby's style dub, HPF in effect with the first Prince, Philip Smart at the helm. Originally released thru Brooklyn's legendary Keith's record shop back around the time it was recorded.

This is one of Leroy Simmonds' best-known songs, with a melancholy voice that is irresistible. It was a hit in the U.K. at the time and was later remade by other labels such as Ariwa, but this is the first take. The reverse side is a Lovers Rock version of "Come On Sister," which also has a disco/funk take.

Richie Phoe returns with a catchy reworking of Jacob Miller's classic "baby I Love YOU SO". This time he's joined by Kassia Zermon & Leroy Horns (resonators) on vocals & sax. The B-side "baby I DUB YOU SO" features a blissed out dubbed version.

Tapper Zukie’s ‘Black Man’ album originally came out in 1978 as a Jamaican only release on Tapper’s’ Stars imprint. Long deleted it has become a classic in Mr Zukie’s vast cannon of musical biscuits and is well overdue this worldwide release for the first time.

Even though Lennon & McCartney compositions have been recorded by every genre of artist in the music industry, this selection by The Jamestown Sheiks, is unique in that the famous songs are presented in reggae style, and what a treat it is! Every song is a gem and it is refreshing to hear a different treatment of these all-time pop standards.

He goes straight to the point, and doesn’t waist his time with useless considerations. “I have no time to shit around”, he says. So, his seventh album is called Square. Square represents a major turning point in the career of the pioneer of nu reggae. An extraordinary architect of studio production and multi-instrumentalist who records, mixes and produces but also, for several years, performs on stage with his musicians. After recording Square, he started touring alone, equipped with a machine he designed and built with Midi controllers to launch original samples and loops - an autarky assumed from one end of the process to the other. “You have to master all the tools to deliver what you want”, he has been saying for years...

Yet, this Square is wide open: old school rhythms or techno-like approaches, vintage dub or futuristic take offs, thick sound basses and melodies, scraped to the bone...

Hoziah Lawrence, at times spelled as Hosbah or Hosiah, recorded a handful of tracks during his brief career, primarily under the guidance of Jack Ruby. The distinct hard stepping and militant style of 'Money Lover' found its place on an obscure and unique label named Haughton Sound in 1977. This label was owned by the up-and-coming lawyer at the time Antonette Haughton who used to spar with many musicians in day. She later transitioned into a fiery and radical talk show host at RJR and more recently became a controversial lawyer who was eventually disbarred from the roll of attorneys before her passing in 2023. The reason behind Jack Ruby attributing production credits to Ms. Haughton remains a puzzle with speculation suggesting potential political motivations, according to the Estate of Jack Ruby. Nonetheless, 'Money Lover' has persistently captured the attention of rare vinyl collectors over the years, and we are delighted to present its reissue, contributing to the ongoing mystique surrounding its creation.

After releasing the "Keithus Dimts Selassie I" vocal in 2020 on this great Royal Horses Riddim we are glad to present this 2nd version which was taken care by Radio Fontani Crew , Allo & Shanthi at the vocal with Fiaba at the mix of Side A , Side B with Michael Exodus at the mixes for a proper Dubwise!

Released for the first time in 1983 on the UK label Vista Sound, “Fight Against Corruption” sees Campbell backed by most of The Aggrovators musicians (Sly & Robbie, Earl “Chinna “ Smith, Jackie Mittoo, Winston Wright) .The album was produced by Bunny Lee and Campbell itself, who – here - clearly skims some social criticism , but also does not disdain some more lovers tunes…another killer album to love forever!

After almost a year waiting for the records, we finally present to you our new 7”, a new collaboration between Ojah and Hada Guldris.

The A side contains the track “Time To Be Ready”, featuring jazz singer Hada Guldris on vocals, who delivers wonderful melodies and harmonies paired with a strong message in the lyrics. It was recorded a few years ago at the same time as their previous collaboration “Life Is Better When You Smile” that came out on this label in 2017 (aldbs7004).

On the B side we find the track “Dub To Be Ready”, a trippy and introverted instrumental dub version full of effects and modulations, mixed live by Ojah on his analog board.

Released on Cherry Red in 1981, Threat To Creation spotted the collaboration between two mystical entities : Creation Rebel and New Age Steppers. Forerunners of the british dub scene the two bands shared several members, a who’s who of the On U-Sound school and key figures of the Bristol and London scene. Adrian Sherwood is – obviously – the man behind the desk a craftsman on its own, a character with no borders and one of the most sought after producer of the time. The supergroup is ran by post-punk stalwarts Bruce Smith (The Pop Group) on drums and Keith Levene (PIL) on guitar. Ari Up of The Slits sits on piano and organ, while masters Crucial Tony is both on bass and guitars. Members of African Head Charge – bass player George Oban, Eskimo Fox and Style Scott on drums – are welcomed addition to the line-up. Threat To Creation is still recognizable as an album ahead of its time, a futuristic blend filling the gap between the Jamaican heritage, the so-called (post) industrial revolution and the studio witchery of the whitey man.

Recorded mid 80's this album was only released in 2002 in very limited quantities.

Remastered from the tapes, the reissue comes with extended versions.

The first 7" by "Boso Vinyl Aikoukai," formed by record-loving members in Kamogawa, Boso, Chiba Prefecture, is now available! The recording features Pancho from K-zion, active in Kamogawa, Boso, and guest performers MR Hero and Matsurika united, who is well-known for her work on "the Entertainer" produced by Naniwaman. The song "Toki Wo Koete Yukou" (Let's Go Beyond the Time) is a wonderful song filled with positive messages like 90s Japanese reggae. Limited Pressings!!
